    Part 1 of 1

    www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

Does America and other nations have an obsession with Serial Killers? Many have asked that question. I say no, but what is clearly obvious is many people have a very deep fascination with Serial Killers. Serial murderers are a rare breed. Many people who follow true crime will typically go through a phase when they first discover some of these types when one wants to learn more or maybe as much as possible about these rare killers. This week we are joined by Dr. Scott Bonn, a PhD criminologist to discuss serial killers and learn a little bit more about them. Dr. Scott Bonn has provided expert commentary and analysis for a number of high profile true crime television shows and now he is bringing his insights into the Garage.

    Part 1 of 1

    www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

Cassie Kay Compton went missing 10 years ago from the town of Stuttgart, Arkansas. Today she would be 25 years old. She was just 15 when this mystery began. According to reports, Cassie was dropped off at her mother’s home on the evening of September 14, 2014. It is believed that the last person known to have seen Cassie was her mother’s fiancé Brandon Rhodes. Rhodes would later face several unrelated charges for drugs, weapons, and stolen goods. Brandon Rhodes remains a strong suspect in this disappearance and may hold the answers as to what happened to this little girl. At the time of her disappearance Cassie was 5’3, 100 pounds with blue eyes, and dyed blonde hair. There are some discrepancies as to what she was wearing at the time. The investigating agency is the Stuttgart Police Department and tips should be sent to them. SPD can be reached at 1-870-673-1414.

  • The Cell Phone Murders /// Part 2 /// 785

    Part 2 of 2

    www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

On September 25, 1996 just before midnight, a 911 call came into emergency services. A crying woman requested police and ambulance personnel to her home. She reported a lot of gunfire in her home with several people down. Within minutes, Police, Fire, and EMTs were on the scene. A young man covered in blood ran up to the responding Sheriff’s deputy saying “They shot them all, they shot them all.” The savage brutality of these murders is shocking. The 1996 Cell Phone Murders would be better described as a massacre.

  • The Dartmouth Murders /// Part 2 /// 779

    Part 2 of 2

    www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

The 2001 homicides of two Dartmouth College professors completely shocked and rocked Hanover, New Hampshire to it's core. No one could imagine something like this happening in a town best known for being the home of an elite academic institution. Half and Susanne Zantop were both loved and very highly respected by students and faculty at the Dartmouth College. The Zantop’s bodies were found on a Saturday evening, inside their home by a friend, who had arrived as an invited dinner guest. The double homicide investigation that followed was headed up by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office. This was an “all hands on deck” situation with multiple law enforcement agencies working the case. The investigation went beyond state lines and tested both the college and the community.

On July 26, 2011 - Brandon Cartellone was viciously killed. His body was found in his second floor apartment at approximately 1AM on July 27th. Brandon was just 21 years old. He was a successful Industrial Design student at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Brandon’s death continues to be an open wound that will not and cannot heal for the so many people who knew and loved him. The F.B.I. has taken over the case as it appears that the Cleveland Police Department either lacked the funding, the personnel, or both to conduct a thorough and proper murder investigation. Law Enforcement still needs your help. If you have any information regarding this investigation OR information about any of the persons described in this podcast please contact the Cleveland FBI office 216-522-1400. Dismemberment killings are rare. We hear of them as these types of stories, make the news and headlines that get clicks. This is partially because of the rare nature of these types of crimes. Even amongst those who kill, many simply do not posses the ability to carry out such a horrific act. In Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, those communities experienced three such murders in just a twelve month timeframe. After the first, the Tucson police Captain told the local news “I think the person who did it, will probably do it again.”

  • The Twin Cities Weepy Killer /// Part 2 /// 772

    Part 2 of 2

    www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

In the early 1980s a deadly man was stalking the women of the Twin Cities. He used different weapons and methods to kill his victims. Often after a kill, the act was followed by a phone call claiming responsibility for the murder. Why were these calls seemingly part of the killer’s M.O.? What purpose did they serve? Was it an act of remorse or just to taunt the protectors of these cities? A man known as the “Weepy Voiced Killer” successfully killed women and left them on the side streets and back alleys of Minneapolis and Saint Paul and he got away with it for two years.
