Craig and Lee digress the 4-2 defeat down in London at the hands of Brentford. It was a classic tale of two halves as both teams went blow for blow in a thrilling end to end game. It was another tale of missed chances as, for the secondgame in a row, Newcastle squandered glorious opportunities to score when they were in control of the game. Ultimately, Newcastle had no response to afirst-half sucker punch from Danny Welbeck as Brighton continued their Premier League hoodoo over the Magpies.
We ask why the attack isn’t clicking, and how much of aconcern is there with the form of talismen Isak and Gordon? Is there any consolation in another decent overall performance, or do we need to redraw pre-season expectations?
