No matter who we are or where we are, we all have one thing in common. Every day we make the decision of what to wear. And clothes have the ability to set the tone for how we are received by those around us and how feel about ourselves. In this podcast, Kat Farmer (ITV fashion presenter and author of the book Get Changed) explores the sometimes underestimated relationship with our wardrobes and how it contributes to our identities.
Join Kat and friends including Gaby Roslin, Hill House Vintage and Tamzin Outhwaite, for the perfect balance of humour and honesty as they take a nostalgic trip to remember key wardrobe moments from shoulder pad disasters and how they found their groove postpartum to clever sustainability hacks and their current fashion icons. Loaded with top tips as well as refreshing wit and charm that will appeal to listeners, this podcast helps its audience laugh at (and deal with) their past fashion crises, with listeners writing in to confess their own unforgivable fashion blunders like that cringeworthy shell-suit!

Victoria Beckham, born Victoria Caroline Adams on April 17, 1974, in Harlow, Essex, England, is a renowned fashion designer, singer, and businesswoman. She first rose to fame as a member of the iconic girl group, the Spice Girls, before establishing herself as a successful entrepreneur and fashion icon.
Growing up, Victoria attended St. Mary's High School in Cheshunt, where she developed an interest in performing arts. She later enrolled at the Laine Theatre Arts college in Epsom, Surrey, where she studied dance and modeling.
In 1994, Victoria joined the Spice Girls, a pop girl group that would go on to become one of the most successful and influential acts of the 1990s. Alongside Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell, Victoria adopted the stage name "Posh Spice," a reference to her refined and glamorous persona.
The Spice Girls released their debut album, "Spice," in 1996, which became a global phenomenon. The album featured hit singles such as "Wannabe," "Say You'll Be There," and "2 Become 1," and sold over 31 million copies worldwide. The group's success continued with their second album, "Spiceworld," released in 1997, which included the hit singles "Spice Up Your Life" and "Stop."
During her time with the Spice Girls, Victoria became known for her fashion sense and style, often sporting designer outfits and setting trends. The group also starred in their own feature film, "Spice World," in 1997, which was a commercial success.
In 1999, Victoria married renowned footballer David Beckham in a highly publicized ceremony. The couple, often referred to as "Posh and Becks," became one of the most famous and influential celebrity couples in the world. They have four children together: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
After the Spice Girls disbanded in 2000, Victoria pursued a solo music career, releasing her debut album, "Victoria Beckham," in 2001. The album included the single "Not Such an Innocent Girl" and reached number 10 on the UK Albums Chart.
In 2004, Victoria turned her attention to fashion, launching her own denim brand, VB Rocks, in collaboration with Rock & Republic. This marked the beginning of her successful transition from music to fashion. In 2008, she launched her eponymous fashion label, Victoria Beckham, which has since become a global brand known for its sleek, modern, and sophisticated designs.
Victoria Beckham's fashion line has been well-received by critics and celebrities alike, with her designs being worn by the likes of Meghan Markle, Oprah Winfrey, and Michelle Obama. In 2011, she was named Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, cementing her status as a respected figure in the fashion industry.
Alongside her fashion career, Victoria has been involved in various television projects, including a cameo appearance in the popular sitcom "Ugly Betty" and serving as a guest judge on "Project Runway" and "American Idol." She has also been featured in several documentaries, including "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" and "The Real Beckhams."
In 2019, Victoria Beckham Beauty was launched, offering a range of clean, high-performance beauty products that reflect Victoria's own beauty philosophy and style.
As Victoria approached her 50th birthday in 2024, speculation about a potential Spice Girls reunion reached a fever pitch. Fans were delighted when, on April 17, 2024, the Spice Girls reunited to perform at Victoria's star-studded 50th birthday celebration. The exclusive event, attended by family, friends, and celebrity guests, marked the first time all five members had performed together since the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
The Spice Girls' mini-concert at Victoria's birthday party left fans clamoring for more, fueling rumors of a potential reunion tour. While no official announcement has been made, the positive reception to their performance and the enduring popularity of the group have led many to speculate that a tour could be in the works.
Throughout her diverse career, Victoria Beckham has proven herself to be a multi-talented and resilient figure, successfully navigating the worlds of music, fashion, and entertainment. As she enters her sixth decade, her influence and success show no signs of waning, and she continues to inspire and empower women around the world. Thanks for listening to Quiet Please. Get Onto My Cloud has Tim at his chatty witty best, where he talks about his career in theatre and music, his colleagues and friends (plus the odd foe) and sometimes roams off stage to discuss other important matters in his life such as cricket, astronomy, Sunderland FC and boxer dogs. You can also expect to listen to recordings of some of his favourite lyrics (not always the obvious ones) and he reveals how and why some shows worked brilliantly and some didn’t.
Described as “Relaxed, casual, essential listening for musical theatre fans and historians.”
Sir Tim Rice wrote the lyrics for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Chess and The Lion King, to name but five. The composers he has worked with include Andrew Lloyd Webber, Elton John, Alan Menken, ABBA’s Bjorn and Benny and Freddie Mercury. -

Booked Up with Jen Taub features intimate interviews with nonfiction authors. Jen’s guests include writers of current bestsellers and beloved backlist books. Conversations cover love, money, politics, early dreams, writing habits, reading tastes, procrastination techniques, self-doubt, and news of the day.
Creator and host, Jen Taub is a law professor, advocate, and author. Her nonfiction books include BIG DIRTY MONEY (Viking 2020) and OTHER PEOPLE’S HOUSES (Yale Press 2014). She focuses on “follow the money” matters— promoting transparency and opposing corruption.
Jen’s favorite poem is Prufrock (and yes she knows that Eliot held abhorrent views. She contains multitudes and can separate the dancer from the dance.)
Taub was the Bruce W. Nichols Visiting Professor of Law in fall 2019 at Harvard Law School and is now a professor of law at the Western New England University School of Law. A former associate general counsel at Fidelity Investments, she is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School.
