Liverpool will be four points clear at the top of the Premier League on Christmas Day after a dominant 6-3 victory away at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Headers from Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister put the Reds two goals up after 36 minutes, before James Maddison pulled one back.
Dominik Szoboszlai added the visitors' third in first-half stoppage time and was then joined on the scoresheet by Mohamed Salah, who converted twice following the interval.
Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke netted what proved to be consolations as Diaz completed the scoring to see Arne Slot's side take advantage of second-placed Chelsea dropping points earlier in the day.

Cody Gakpo’s early goal – scored during a blistering opening 20 minutes from the Reds – was supplemented by a 78th-minute penalty from Mohamed Salah as Arne Slot’s side pulled further ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea, who sit joint-second in the table.
The result means City are now 11 points adrift of the remarkable pace set by Liverpool, who have amassed 34 points from their first 13 top-flight matches of the season.

The holders had to recover from a Jarell Quansah own goal to ensure their defence moved past the first obstacle but ultimately did so dominantly, with Diogo Jota swiftly equalising.
