"We are the anti-pod coffee company." Meet the founders of Nomi Brew, Naomi Masdon and Scott McMartin who are launching a cutting edge new product that aims to eliminate pods from single serve coffee machines. A long trial and error process has finally resulted in a coffee machine that offers a great cup of coffee without the trash. A bewildering statistic, "Globally, more than 9.8 billion plastic, non-biodegradable coffee pods, each taking up to 500 years to break down, are produced every year." This machine is here to disrupt the Keruig culture by not only reducing trash but also creating fair wages for the farmers and better farm land practices. Naomi and Scott offer a laid back and funny conversation that offers a personal touch to their offering. Welcome Dr. Jennifer Dorn to The Mark Howley Show! Dr. Dorn is an expert on prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric chiropractic care. An increasingly popular standard for newborns and throughout their first year, Dorn explains the importance of bringing your baby to a chiropractor to support their neuromuscular skeletal system and overall health. "You are born, and at that moment you have to breathe, hear, smell, communicate, eat, poop and digest...we are connecting that baby into their parasympathetic nervous system as they are born in fight or flight..." Bodo Chiropractic based in Boise, ID was founded by her husband and herself to offer not only chiro care but cranial sacral, massage, sound healing, and more throughout the Travel Valley. Dorn started her professional life as far away from chiropractic care as you could imagine. She began in high stress, good money real estate as a mortgage broker, ran a bag business but had a strong feeling she had a different purpose. If you feel like "soul-sucking" is how you describe your work life, listen to Jenn's why in this episode. This is what our show is all about.
