In today’s quick episode, I’m diving into how I approach the topic of treats with my kids. Instead of labeling foods as "good" or "bad," I focus on the idea of “nutritious vs. not nutritious” and help them understand the difference between “always foods” and “sometimes foods.” This perspective encourages balance without guilt, helping kids build a healthy relationship with food from a young age.
Key Points
Nutritious vs. Not Nutritious: We talk about how certain foods fuel our bodies and help us grow, without using restrictive labels. It's about what helps us feel and perform our best! Always Foods vs. Sometimes Foods: This concept keeps things balanced, so kids understand that while treats are okay, they’re not everyday choices. “Always” foods are for regular energy and growth, while “sometimes” foods are for occasional enjoyment. Food as Fuel for Strength and Health: I explain to my kids how certain foods help them get stronger, faster, and healthier, making it relatable by talking about benefits they care about, like having more energy to play. Leading by Example: Instead of only talking, I show my kids how I make balanced food choices. This way, they see moderation and balance in action – whether it’s choosing a healthy snack together or enjoying a treat in a mindful way.Takeaway
Creating a balanced perspective on food early on helps kids feel positive about their choices and sets them up for a healthy relationship with food for life. By using concepts like “always foods” and “sometimes foods,” we make room for treats without guilt and teach them the importance of nutritious choices in a fun, practical way. -

In this episode of the Low Carb Hustle podcast, we dive deep into one of the lesser-known benefits of a low-carb diet: improved mental clarity and focus. While most people associate low-carb eating with fat loss, the cognitive perks are just as powerful—especially for entrepreneurs, athletes, and anyone striving for peak performance.
We start by taking a sobering look at the current state of health in the U.S. Did you know that over 42% of Americans are obese, and obesity has been linked to poor cognitive function and brain fog? We’ll also cover other concerning statistics like the 1 in 5 adults dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. But it’s not all bad news—there's hope, and that’s where low-carb diets come in.
Key Takeaways from This Episode: Why carbs can negatively affect brain function: High-carb diets often lead to energy crashes, brain fog, and poor concentration due to blood sugar fluctuations and inflammation. The impact of low-carb eating on memory, focus, and productivity: Studies show that low-carb diets can enhance memory retention, reduce brain fog, and improve overall focus—perfect for anyone with demanding mental workloads. Practical tips to start using low-carb for better mental clarity: Learn how to ease into a low-carb lifestyle and boost your brainpower with simple dietary changes.Get your copy of the Million Dollar Body Method for FREE here and start implementing the changes today!

What if the real challenge starts after the challenge? Explore ways to maintain your progress beyond the finish line.
In this episode, I chat with Trevor Wittwer about the balancing act coaches face in helping clients achieve lasting change. We delve into why it’s crucial to be honest with clients who might not be ready for change and how pushing them too soon can backfire.
Trevor introduces a method he calls "interval fat loss," where clients push hard for a set period and then ease into maintenance mode before ramping up again. This approach helps prevent burnout and supports long-term weight maintenance.
We also discuss the extent of responsibility coaches should take for their clients’ results and why it’s essential for clients to drive their own progress. Plus, we explore how technology can support coaching, but emphasize that the personal connection between coach and client remains key to real success.
Key Takeaways:
Be honest if a client isn’t ready to change. Forcing change can be unproductive for both the client and the coach.
Coaches should provide tools and guidance, but cannot control client outcomes.
Technology is useful, but human connection is what really drives success.

In this new Low Carb hustle episode I give you the results of my last 30 day experiment!
I was taking baking soda daily for 30 days in an effort to improve my performance in some intense cardio outputs for jui jitsu, biking, and BFR training.
Unfortunately it's hard to have a lot of objective data here since it didn't make a difference on many of my wearable tech devices (plus I don't wear them when I train BJJ to avoid breaking fingers).
But the results were interesting and I definitely felt a big difference! Check out this episode to hear more about the experiment, dose, and results!

Ever wondered if your tech is messing with your sleep and health? Let’s dive into how EMF from devices might be affecting you and discover simple changes that could make a big difference.
In this episode, Justin Franson talks about how electromagnetic fields (EMF) from everyday tech, like Wi-Fi and wearable devices, might be disrupting our sleep and overall well-being. He explains that constant exposure to high-frequency EMF can keep our brains from entering the deep, restorative sleep we need.
We also explore the benefits of grounding—using natural materials to reduce EMF exposure. Justin introduces his product, EMF Rocks, which combines crystals and copper to help block EMF and improve sleep quality. He also touches on diatomaceous earth, a natural remedy that can support health, though he advises starting with a small amount to avoid digestive upset.

Turn off Wi-Fi at night and use grounding techniques to reduce EMF exposure.
Spend time outdoors to reconnect with natural frequencies
