In today's episode of the Live Your Full Potential Podcast, we are joined by Gold Medal Olympian Ben Hunt-Davis MBE. Ben is a performance expert, coach, facilitator and keynote speaker.
He is also Co-author of “Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?”, the story of how the Great Britain’s men’s eight crew won an Olympic Gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Ben has spent the last 16 years specialising in leadership and team development and in 2012 he co-founded Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?, a performance consultancy which seeks to transform organisational performance through the adoption of elite sport principles and strategies.
Ben and his team have a highly practical approach which focuses heavily focused on the application of performance habits, mindsets and beliefs. Their aim is to ensure that participants genuinely apply new ways of working and behave differently to achieve greater results. Ben is still involved in the Olympic movement having been a member of the Team GB staff at the last 4 Summer Olympics.

During this time he helped develop the mental skills of the best young emerging English golfers including the likes of Danny Willett, Chris Wood, Ross Fisher, Tommy Fleetwood, Andrew Johnston, Tom Lewis, Paul Waring and Eddie Pepperell, along with many Walker Cup players such as R&A World No. 1 Jamie Moul, Neil Raymond and Seniors Tour winner and amateur legend Gary Wolstenhome, MBE. He was most recently Lead Psychologist to the Hong Kong Golf Association.Brian has continued to work with many of these players into their professional careers on the various European tours. He was also the performance psychologist to the English Women’s Golf Association (1998-2001 & 2006-10), and still works with current LET players. Brian is the author of the CD ‘In the Zone: Simple Mental Skills to Improve Your Golf’ and four books, including the best-seller ’Mental Toughness for Golf: The Minds of Winners’. He is a regular presenter around the UK and Ireland on the PGA CPD programme, and has presented at PGA National Conferences in the UK and across Europe. As well as hosting four successful UK golf psychology conferences since 2002, Brian regularly runs Masterclasses in Golf Psychology for psychologists and golf coaches. He has presented internationally in Australia, China, South Korea, Austria, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Italy, Hong Kong, India, Latvia and the USA.
