The Wilk’s case is a HUGE moment in Chiropractic history, however it is something that surprisingly few chiropractors know about. In this episode the amazing Dr Ricardo Flores Dc shares a little on the incredible legal battle that we all still benefit from today.
Dr Flores, a hugely passionate Chiropractor was kind enough to take some time out of his busy week to share some of his insight on the topic and what his research on the topic has Brough up while he prepares to speak on the topic at upcoming Chiro events.
The Wilk’s case began in October 1976, when Chester Wilk, D.C. and four other chiropractors filed suit against the AMA. The suit claimed that the defendants had participated for years in an illegal conspiracy to destroy chiropractic. On August 24, 1987, after endless wrangling in the courts, it was ruled that the AMA and its officials were guilty, as charged, of attempting to eliminate the chiropractic profession.
This case effects us all today and is certainly must listen for all of todays Chiropractors.

Nick is someone who we have gotten to know pretty well recently as he worked his way through our online philosophy course, so we were buzzing to get him on a podcast to share some things.
Nick choose to look deeper at various Chiropractic terms during his time on our philosophy course, and ended up focusing on dis-ease. He final module, the article we chat about, was the result of some incredible discussions and a lot of hard work on his part. When combined with Nicks understanding and quality penmanship this was a piece of Chiropractic writing that couldn’t stay hidden, so we thought we would get him on the podcast to make sure it got out there.
We were yet to know, at the time of recording the podcast, that this paper would feature in the recent publication of 33 from the UCA (uk). Which hopefully a few of you have read!
