We’re delighted to confirm that the Carlisle United Official Supporters Club (CUOSC) will be sponsoring the Brunton Bugle this season.

CUOSC, formed originally in 2001 as CCUIST, is the supporters' trust for Carlisle United. They are a community benefit society, with a one member-one vote democratic structure. They currently have 10% voting control of the club's holding company CUFC Holdings Ltd and are members of the Football Supporters' Association (FSA).

You can find out more about CUOSC and how to join on their website www.cuosc.org.uk, or you can contact them on X at @cuosc

As part of this sponsorship, we’ll be working closely with CUOSC to provide some additional content this season – keep an eye out for these episodes soon!

    -----------------

We've had a few people asking how they can contribute financially towards the pod over the last few seasons - we do this podcast because we love our club and are happy to do it for free, but if you'd like to make a contribution that can help towards hosting, online studio or equipment costs, we would be extremely grateful.

It would go a long way to help us keep providing content for the Blues fanbase across the world for the 2024-25 season!

  • The season is underway it’s same old Carlisle United as they go down to a 4-1 opening day defeat at Gillingham – but does the scoreline reflect the balance of play in the game?

In this week’s episode of the Brunton Bugle there’s plenty to discuss about the game in Kent, including:

  • We really are spoiling you with content ahead of the new season and what better way to wrap up a bumper week of podcasts with an interview with the main man himself – Paul Simpson!

Despite being a very busy man ahead of the first fixture against Gillingham this weekend, Paul very kindly gave up a chunk of his time to speak to us ahead of his 43rd season in professional football, as he prepares the Blues for a push to make an instant return to League One.

Big thanks to Amy Nixon from the CUFC Media Team for helping arrange the interview – we will hopefully bring you a few more chats with the playing squad and those behind the scenes at Brunton Park over the coming season.

First up, is the preview of our first away fixture of the season – the longest journey we’ll make across the 46 fixtures, travelling to Kent to face promotion hopefuls Gillingham.
