There's nothing wrong with being a coach, but that's not exactly why you'd create a membership, right? To have your members co-dependent on your response to every question? Nope!
This is a trend I'm starting to notice.
When memberships ...
1) Give away so much they make other profitable upsells irrelevant 📉
2) Replace the coaching relationship only you don't get paid for it 😒
This is exactly the debacle my VIP client had, until we retooled her program on Monday. She LOVES her membership but also felt like she was overcommitted to weekly calls + content delivery and had created a kind of co-dependency on her. Her model wasn't scalable.
She was too focused on responding to everything members asked about instead of leading them forward. Which, actually, as it turned out meant delivering a lot less to her members who couldn't keep up with it all anyway. Instead, she's creating a long-term roadmap they can follow. Dead simple.

In this episode, I talk about how I plan out my Q4 strategy for my business. As a small business owner, I don't have the luxury of having the entire year planned out in advance - things change so quickly in the online world that it's really hard to predict what's going to happen far in the future.
