So it's a pleasure to share this interview with Mike Doughty of Soul Coughing, Ghost of Vroom and volumes of solo work. If the movie world has 6° of separation from Kevin Bacon then the music world would have 3° of separation from legendary bassist Leland Sklar. Leland has appeared on over 2000 albums and has played and/or toured with a who's who in music including James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Phil Collins to name only a few. Drumming phenom Brooke Colucci welcomes us into her world to see, meet and hear about her dogs Jinjer, a 3 year old Dachshund, and Frank, a 5 year old Boston Terrier. It's always great to find an artist who you know will be perfect for this show and our guest this week, Ben Wells of Black Stone Cherry, is just that. Not only is Ben a dog dad to three wonderful beagles - Henry (13), Hank (8) and Sunny Pearl (2) - but he also just released a children's book titled Good Girl Sunny Pearl which he wrote, illustrated and published. "Scuzzy guitars galore" has been used to describe the trio helmed by this week's guest although the band's name leans more towards the low end of the drum kit. In a band full of dog guys, this week's guest Chris Guglielmo of Bayside says he's the most obsessive of his bandmates when it comes to hanging with studio and venue dogs.
