1)G-7 Summit in Italy June 13-15: Italy's right wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is hosting the latest G-7 Summit. Host Meloni has expanded the group to include a large and controversial guest list, including Heads of State of Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, S. Africa, India, Turkey, Algeria, Brazil, Ukraine and Kenya. What is the significance of this move?2)Russian Warships and Strategic Bombers Hold Exercises Near East Coast USA: Russia has announced it is conducting war training exercises off the East Coast of USA later this week, including war-ships and strategic bombers. Is there any reason to be concerned?
3)Successful Israeli Hostage Rescue Operation?: This week, Israeli Navy Commandos launched 'Operation Amon' inside the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza. In a daring Rambo-style rescue, they saved four live hostages. But 270 Palestinians were killed in the raid, including woman and children. And Hamas now claims this IDF raid killed three Jewish hostages, including one American. So was it really a success?
4)Is Jewish 'Emancipation' Threatened by The Rising European Far Right?: The Emancipation of Jews from European ghettos began during the Age of Enlightenment. Before that, from 1200 to 1500, European Jews had to wear identifying badges, often yellow or white. This 'yellow badge' was reintroduced by Nazi regime under Hitler. Now Europe is seeing a new wave of far-right political parties. Can the Neo-Nazi policy of yellow badges be far behind?

1)President Biden Announces "Israeli Proposed Gaza Peace Plan"?: Last week, at the White House, President Biden held a formal press briefing and outlined a three part "Israeli Peace Plan" for ending the war in Gaza. He said it was Israel's offer, and urged Hamas to immediately accept it to bring peace and relief to hostages and Palestine civilians. But oddly, it seems Israel's Prime Minister wasn't aware of this plan, and now says his conditions for any permanent cease fire are unchanged. What is going on?2)Ukraine to Use US Supplied Weapons To Strike Inside Russia?: Last week, Biden administration officials announced they would allow Ukraine armed forces to hit targets inside Russia with US supplied artillery and rockets. This is seen as increasing the risk of Russian escalation of war to include their hitting targets beyond Ukraine, perhaps even Romania or Poland. Was this a good idea?
3)Elections in India and Mexico: This week, India completed it's long 'rolling election' for Prime Minister, and the current occupant Mr. Narendra Modi of the BJP just won a third term of office. In Mexico, a woman candidate---one of two running--won. Both these countries are large and democratic, and important partners to America in both economic and security affairs. How do you see things going forward?

1)Lafayette Escadrille --- The American 'Volunteer' Fighter Pilot?: In WW1, American 'volunteers' traveled to France to join the fight against Germany, training and flying French owned bi-planes. This was before the US had officially declared war on Germany. Can American 'retired' jet fighter pilots in 2024 'volunteer' to fly Ukraine's new F-16 jets without violating neutrality laws?2)Israel Attacked Humanitarian Zone Refugee Camp: Over the weekend, on May 26th, IDF dropped bombs on the Tel al Sultan refugee camp, a plastic tent city of displaced Gaza Palestinians. Apparently, this attack set fire to the plastic tents, causing 45 deaths, including many woman and children burned alive, and 250 more were wounded. Is this a war crime?
3)Video of Israeli Female IDF Soldiers Held Hostage by Hamas: Last week, the IDF released film from Hamas bodycams showing young Israeli female soldiers who had been captured on October 7th at Nahal Oz military base. Israel claims it was offered to the families of the hostages, who are now using it to demand immediate release of their family members. But why did IDF only declassify and release this video now, seven months after the attack?
4)International Criminal Court Seeks Arrest Warrant for Prime Minister Netanyahu: Netanyahu claims the ICC is anti-Semitic, biased, and Israel therefore refuses to accept it's conclusion that he is complicit in international war crimes in Gaza. US President Biden says the ICC prosecutor's charges on Netanyahu are 'outrageous'. What do you think?
5)Should US Cut It's Funding of The United Nations?: The UN-linked International Court of Justice (ICJ) has opened investigations of Israel for genocide. And the UN general assembly has supported making Palestine a full member state. Israel's Prime Minister openly accuses the entire UN of anti-Antisemitism. Should US taxpayers continue to fund UN activities?

1)US Floating Pier In Gaza Completed: A $350 million floating pier, named Trident, has been finally deployed by US military into the Gaza Strip, after over three months of work. It is supposed to start delivering 90 truckloads per day into besieged Gaza. Will that be enough aid to prevent mass starvation? Or does Egypt's Rafah crossing need to be re-opened?2)Israeli Far-Right Zionist Independence Day Rally: On May 14th, approximately 50 thousand Israeli settlers and their supporters---including senior minister of Netanyahu's government---held rally in Sderot. They called for Israel to build Jewish settlements on the ruins of Gaza's destroyed cities and encouraged Palestinians to 'voluntarily emigrate' to other countries. Is this advocating for ethnic cleansing?
3)Netanyahu Arrest Warrant By International Criminal Court: The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, the ICC, has announced plans to issue arrest warrants of Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant. He accuses Israel's leaders of engaging in a systematic policy of starvation of civilians as act of warfare, which is criminal behavior under international law. What will Israel do? Should the US accept the ICC's decision on Israel?
4)Putin In China on Official State Visit: Last week, Russian President Putin visited China on an official state visit. He joined various meetings with Pres. Xi, and reaffirmed their 'unlimited partnership'. What is the significance of this trip?

1)State Department Says It 'Appears' Israel Committed War Crimes Violations: In interview on "Face the Nation" last Sunday, Secretary of State Blinken said that while at least some conduct by Israel in Gaza appears to violate international human rights, it is not possible to confirm this while the war is ongoing. What exactly does he mean?2)Are American Doctors Trapped In Gaza?: Up to 20 American doctors are trapped inside Gaza since Israel closed the Rafah border crossing last week. That crossing was previously used to move aid workers into and out of the Gaza Strip. Apparently just this Monday a UN security convoy was heading to the European Hospital to rescue one sick American doctor, but the UN convoy was attacked by IDF troops and one UN member was killed. What should be done now?

1)Why Is Israel Banning Al Jazerra News?: Just this week, the Israeli government announced that it was banning the well known Qatar-based international news bureau, Al Jazerra. Israel is calling it a 'mouthpiece for Hamas' because it presents on-the-ground reporting from inside Gaza. Is this move evidence that Israel is trying to block viewers from knowing what is really happening in Gaza?2)Should Palestinians in Gaza Be Moved to Sinai?: If Israel decides to invade Rafah, the last standing city in Gaza, should the 1.5 million Palestinian refugees living there be moved to the Sinai desert in Egypt for safety? If so, why hasn't Egypt agreed to this temporary move? By not doing so, does it allow Hamas to keep its 'human shield' as a defense strategy?
3)Are Nuclear Weapons Likely to Be Used In Next Few Years?: The US and USSR were the original possessors of nuclear weapons. During the 'Cold War', such weapons were a threat, but never used. More recently, new states like North Korea, India and Pakistan have obtained nuclear weapons. Are we at greater risk of their being used?
4)If Netanyahu Invades Rafah, What Will Biden Administration Do?: The Biden Administration has set a 'red line' that before Israel invades Rafah, it must first move 1.5 million civilians out of harms way. But yesterday, Israel Defense Force issued 'warnings' for immediate evacuation of parts of Eastern Rafah, suggesting it's invasion is about to begin. What could Biden do in response?

1)US Senator Graham's Grand Bargain for Middle East Peace?: Last week, Sen. Graham announced a 'grand plan' he has been discussing with the government of Saudi Arabia. It involves having US make an official 'defense agreement' with the Saudi Kingdom, and in return for that big US favor, Saudi Arabia will recognize the State of Israel. He adds that, as part of the grand bargain, Israel must move quickly to solve the Palestine crisis. Will Graham's plan work?2)Will Netanyahu Invade Rafah if Hostage Talks Fail?: The Israeli Prime Minister is threatening that if a Peace Deal with Hamas is not reached imminently, he will invade Rafa. This is in direct contradiction to the Biden Administration, who wishes that at minimum, all Rafa's 1.5 million civilians be evacuated safely and given humane conditions after evacuation. And Biden worries a full scale invasion will trigger regional conflicts. So can Netanyahu just ignore US demands and invade?
3)How Many US Arms Firms Are Selling Weapons or Military Technology to Israel?: Given the demand of tens of thousands of US students protesting at US Universities demanding they cut ties to US Arms Companies supplying Israel's war machine, how many and which companies are doing this? Is the US military complex contributing in a major way to Israel's Gaza war slaughter?
4)Are Nuclear Weapons Still Useful As A Deterrent?: In the Cold War, the US and USSR both had massive amounts of nuclear weapons and could destroy each other. That led to what was called the doctrine of 'Mutual Assured Destruction' or MAD. But with smaller nations now getting nuclear weapons, does MAD still work? If not, why have them?

1)Ukraine Arms Bill Passes House of Representatives: The US House passed on Saturday three major defense funding bills, for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. The Ukraine bill if passed by US Senate on Tuesday will provide $61 billion, for much needed military equipment and ammunition for its defense against Russian aggression. What do you think about all this?2)US Big Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence Firm Palantir Aiding Israel War Effort: Palantir, a US based high tech data mining and AI firm, is helping Israel develop targeting 'kill lists' of Hamas linked operatives. Is that a good thing to be happening?
3)US Sanctions on Israel's Military?: The US just announced plans to restrict sales of US military equipment and training to part of Israel's army. The sanctions apply under the Leahy Law, that prohibits military sales to foreign military units that violate international human rights. The Netzah Yehud battalion of IDF has been found to have committed human rights violations by US Department of State, but Israeli PM Netanyahu vows he will 'fight the charges'. What is going on?
4)Israel and Iran Exchanged Attacks On Each Other's Soil: Last week, both Iran and Israel exchanged direct attacks on each other's territory. Iran launched 350 drones and missiles into Israel, and Israel responded w/ a small drone attack near Nataz nuclear reactor in Iran. US and G7 Nations urged restraint. Have things cooled down?
