In 2009, MTV’s "16 and Pregnant" hit the screens, sparking a cultural moment that resonated deeply with many young moms. For me, this show was more than entertainment—it was a mirror of my own life. At 16, I was navigating pregnancy, high school, and a complicated relationship with the boy who would eventually become my husband. This episode, I’m sharing my journey of becoming a mother, the heartbreak, the struggles, and the glimmer of hope that changed everything.
Join me as I open up about how a series of difficult life events led me down a dark path, and the moment that altered my life forever—the discovery that I was pregnant. I’ll share the challenges of teenage pregnancy, navigating high school as a young mom, the lack of support from my father, and the surprising strength I found within myself and through my faith.
Now, with 16 years of growth, I look back with gratitude and a deep understanding of how God has turned that season of devastation into a testimony of resilience and grace. This episode is an honest reflection on the enemy’s attempt to end two lives, the unwavering love I’ve experienced from family and friends, and the beautiful path to healing and forgiveness I’ve walked ever since. My story is a reminder of Romans 8:28—how God works all things together for good, even when we can't yet see it.
Reflect: Think of a time you felt broken and defeated. How did God show up for you in that season?

In this episode of Mom Keys to Mental Peace Podcast, I share a deeply personal journey as God leads me through a season of purity, revealing impure motives in my heart. I open up about how I started placing too much value on numbers and analytics for my podcast, instead of focusing on obedience to what God has called me to do. We dive into Luke 16:10 and the importance of being faithful in small responsibilities before God entrusts us with more.
I also reflect on my experience of God leading me to a smaller church and the intimacy of the Bible study group God called me to start, where I've been learning the power of simplicity and authentic connection. This season has taught me the importance of keeping our motives pure, as well as the need for proximity to God in order to recognize and correct areas of impurity within us.
We explore Matthew 6:1 and the dangers of doing things for show or to one-up others. I encourage you to allow God to purify your heart, to prune away what no longer serves His purpose, and to trust Him in the process. If He’s asking you to let go, it’s for your good and not your harm. Let's walk this journey of purity together, staying rooted in our "why" and aligning our motives with His will.
Tune in for an honest conversation on purity, obedience, and trusting God's process of transformation.

In this episode of the Mom Keys to Mental Peace Podcast, we dive deep into John 8:3-11, where Jesus forgives a woman caught in adultery. We’ll explore the powerful difference between exegesis and eisegesis, learning how to draw out the true meaning of Scripture without imposing our own biases. Through this story, we see how Jesus responds with grace and conviction, not condemnation, offering hope for redemption.
We'll reflect on how we often find ourselves either as the woman struggling with guilt and shame or as the Pharisees passing judgment. How does Jesus’ approach challenge us to show compassion and forgiveness, both to ourselves and to others? Join me as we unpack these themes, and ask ourselves: Are we living in the freedom of conviction, or are we trapped in condemnation?
Reflect with us on the power of grace, and discover how Jesus' words, "Go and sin no more," bring healing and hope.

In this episode of the Mom Keys to Mental Peace Podcast, we dive into a topic that has been persistent in my life over the last few weeks—Condemnation vs. Conviction. As I read Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer for the third time, I’ve been reflecting on how important it is to discern God’s voice in our daily lives. One of the ways God speaks to us is through persistence, and this topic has been recurring through sermons, podcasts, and personal moments.
Join me as I explore the difference between condemnation and conviction—how the enemy uses condemnation to push us away from God’s presence, while God uses conviction to draw us closer to Him. I’ll share personal stories, such as the weight of a decision I made in 2011 and the recent conviction I felt about my finances this past summer. Through these stories, we’ll unpack how God reveals sin for healing and restoration, not punishment.
This episode is for anyone who feels stuck in a cycle of shame or self-sabotage due to past sins and mistakes. Let’s recognize the enemy’s schemes and learn how to run back to our loving Father, who offers freedom and redemption.
Scriptures Mentioned in This Episode:
Romans 8:1 – "So there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus."Micah 7:19 – "Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!"Isaiah 43:25 – "I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins."Isaiah 43:19 – "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun. Don’t you see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in dry wasteland."Jeremiah 1:5 – "I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."Ephesians 6:17 – "...and take the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God."***YOUTUBE VIDEO LINK***: https://youtu.be/K-8D3pGoRzU

In this second part of our series, we continue to uncover the enemy’s tactics designed to keep you from reaching your God-given potential. Satan’s plan is subtle, yet strategic, as he manipulates emotions, insecurities, and societal pressures to distance you from God’s truth. In this episode, we explore five additional ways the enemy tries to derail your spiritual growth:
6. Fostering Emotional Instability– Learn how Satan amplifies feelings of anxiety and depression, making it difficult to rely on faith rather than emotions.
7. Making Modesty Unappealing– Discover how the enemy distorts God’s call for modesty, pushing the pursuit of external beauty over spiritual character.
8. Turning Pain into Bitterness – Understand the danger of holding onto hurt and resentment, and how it hardens the heart against forgiveness and healing.
9. Attacking Faith in God’s Timing– Explore how impatience with God’s timing can lead to poor decisions, as Satan encourages you to rush ahead of God’s plan.
10.Encouraging Superficiality in Faith – Unpack the difference between religious activity and deep, personal connection with God, and how the enemy can use this to stifle spiritual growth.
Join me as we expose these deceptions and discuss practical steps to protect your heart, mind, and faith from Satan’s subtle attacks.

In this eye-opening episode, we begin a powerful two-part series diving into the subtle yet strategic ways the enemy seeks to derail women from reaching their God-given potential. We explore five specific tactics Satan uses to keep you distracted, discouraged, and disconnected from God’s plan for your life:
1. Undermining Your Identity– Discover how the enemy distorts your self-worth and identity, leading you to seek validation from the world rather than from Christ.
2. Exploiting Comparison– Learn the damaging effects of constant comparison and how it robs you of peace and contentment.
3. Instilling Fear of Rejection– Unpack how fear of being left out or unloved can tempt you to compromise your values in exchange for approval.
4. Creating Relationship Distractions– Understand how toxic relationships can divert you from God’s purpose and cloud your spiritual clarity.
5. Encouraging Busyness and Perfectionism– See how the pursuit of perfection can leave you drained and disconnected from God, as you rely on your own strength instead of His.
Join me as we uncover these deceptions and discuss how to reclaim your spiritual focus, break free from these traps, and align with God’s truth for your life.

In this episode of the "Mom Keys to Mental Peace Podcast," we continue our journey into what it means to parent from a healed place. Healing isn’t about being perfect; it’s about embracing growth, self-awareness, and creating a healthy environment for your children. Part two focuses on the unique parenting styles we develop, how they differ from our own childhood experiences, and the importance of practicing self-care while nurturing our families.
We explore how every family dynamic is different, and that we have the freedom to parent in ways that suit our children’s individual needs rather than simply replicating the methods we grew up with. We’ll also discuss the value of practicing self-care and seeking support, reminding moms that it’s okay to prioritize themselves alongside family care. Building a village, forming mom friendships, and making time for what brings you joy are key steps in maintaining a balanced, healthy mindset.
Another vital element of healed parenting is modeling healthy relationships and communication. Our children watch and learn from how we treat others—whether it’s showing respect, practicing empathy, or resolving conflicts constructively. This episode also sheds light on the difference between overreacting and balanced parenting, and how to stay calm and intentional even in challenging situations.
As we continue this series, remember that parenting from a healed place is an ongoing journey. It’s okay to learn and grow alongside your children, creating new, healthier generational patterns that they can carry into their future families.
Tune in for practical insights, inspiration, and encouragement on your journey toward intentional and healed parenting.

In this episode of the "Mom Keys to Mental Peace Podcast," we begin a two-part series exploring what it means to parent from a healed place. Healing doesn’t mean perfection; instead, it’s about acknowledging past wounds, understanding the impact of generational patterns, and making intentional choices to create healthier experiences for our children. Just as a scar represents the journey of healing, our parenting can reflect growth and resilience, even if it's not flawless.
Many millennial parents are on this journey, equipped with more resources, therapy, and open conversations about the unhealthy parenting styles we may have experienced ourselves. We’re learning to see our parents as individuals with their own stories and challenges, which helps us better navigate our own roles as mothers and fathers. In this episode, we dive into the importance of recognizing and breaking free from generational cycles, understanding our emotional needs, and shifting from parenting out of lack or fear to a mindset of abundance and trust.
As we explore these themes, we reflect on how our emotional well-being directly impacts our children and how we can avoid projecting our unfulfilled desires onto them. By choosing to parent from a healed place, we not only transform our own lives but also set the stage for healthier generational patterns for our children and future generations. This episode is a call to reflect on your own journey and to take the first steps toward parenting with intention, love, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Join us as we unpack these layers and learn together how to create a nurturing and abundant environment for our families. Your path to healing and mental peace starts here.

In this heartfelt episode, I share a deeply personal journey of navigating a challenging season with my mother. I express immense gratitude for the outpouring of support and encouragement I received, reflecting on how God’s principle of sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7) goes beyond material blessings—it’s about the kindness and compassion we extend to others.
Through this experience, I have been blessed with comforting words, scriptures, and prayers from friends and family who felt led to reach out. I felt seen by God, not through tangible gifts, but through the love and encouragement of those around me.
This episode dives into the difficult decisions made for my mother’s care, including our decision to take her back to the gentleman she had been living with, as we struggled to provide the right resources for her mental health and living situation. I walk you through the ups and downs of seeking help—from mental health evaluations to navigating complex family dynamics—all while trusting God’s timing and guidance.
As I grappled with these tough choices, I found peace in realizing that stepping away doesn’t mean giving up; it means recognizing my limitations and trusting God to fill the gaps. Sometimes, making the right decision for your own well-being is the bravest and most faithful thing you can do.
In this episode, I also share key principles for making peaceful exits and stepping away from difficult situations, supported by scripture:
- Pray for wisdom and guidance** (James 1:5)
- Set healthy boundaries** (Proverbs 22:3)
- Recognize when a situation is toxic or harmful** (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
- Trust in God’s sovereignty and control** (Romans 8:28)
- Prioritize your own well-being** (Matthew 10:31)
We explore the importance of trusting God with your life and understanding that prioritizing your well-being is not selfish—it’s a way to honor God and live a healthy, joyful life. Feeling sad after making a tough decision doesn’t mean you made the wrong choice. Sometimes, stepping away is an act of faith, entrusting your burdens and loved ones to God’s care.
Join me as we navigate the complexities of knowing when to let go and embrace God’s peace in the process.

In this deeply personal audio journal entry, I open up about a challenging weekend spent caring for my mother during a mental health crisis. This episode is a raw and honest reflection on the emotional toll of confronting my mother wounds, the struggle to stay grounded in faith, and the weight of my responsibilities. I share the strategies I leaned on to cope with the overwhelming emotions, including a vulnerable post on Facebook that led to an outpouring of support from friends and family.
In this episode, I discuss the importance of asking others to genuinely intercede on my behalf rather than just saying "I'll pray for you" without actually doing it. I also delve into my study of Genesis 18, where God promises a child to Abraham and Sarah, reminding us that nothing is too hard for Him.
This season feels like a test of faith, and I'm doing my best to navigate it with grace, acknowledging both my feelings and the reality of my situation. Join me as I process this experience and explore how to maintain faith and resilience during life's most challenging moments.

But there's hope! Through Jesus Christ, we have the power to lay aside these weights and run our race with endurance. We'll explore practical steps to repent and turn away from sin, aligning our lives with God's truth. Whether it's reading Scripture, seeking accountability, or simply asking God to make us willing to change, there are ways to break free from strongholds and live a life marked by spiritual victory.

In this weeks episode of Mom Keys to Mental Peace, we dive deep into the concept of consequences and how our decisions, both big and small, can lead to significant outcomes. Whether positive or negative, the choices we make today shape our future in ways we may not always foresee. Through real-life examples and powerful biblical stories, like those of Adam and Eve, Moses, and Esau, we explore how impulsive decisions can have lasting impacts.
We take a closer look at the story of Esau, a man who, driven by immediate desires, traded his birthright for a mere bowl of stew. This decision, made without consideration for the long-term consequences, serves as a poignant lesson for us all. What are we willing to trade for temporary satisfaction? How often do we prioritize short-term gains over long-term blessings?
Join us as we reflect on the importance of slowing down, considering the long-term effects of our decisions, and understanding that while God’s grace is abundant, we are still accountable for our actions. Are you making decisions that align with your long-term goals, or are you caught in the trap of immediate gratification? Tune in to explore these questions and more.
Listen now to learn how to make more intentional, thoughtful decisions that align with your values and your future.
