Have you found yourself irrationally pushing your child to play organized sports? We operate by the rule "if you agree, and we pay, then you play". But perhaps the lessons to be found in organized sports are more nuanced than that. Maybe children are more nuanced than that. Commitment is very important to be taught young, so lets wrestle with what that means for children.

We bought our two girls, Charlie and Alta - Fire HDs before their brother, Lincoln was born. Our justification was that their father was going to be gone for work more than we would like, and a respite from constant need of... well everything would be welcome in a time of transition. But it's a slippery slope. How do you handle the slope?
