On the 29th of July 1966 Bob Dylan was speeding through the backroads of Woodstock, New York on his T100 Triumph motorbike. In an instant he lost control, seconds later he crashed and found himself thrown onto the hard tarmac injuring himself badly.

This is how an icon retreated from the spotlight and delivered an album that set him free….

On the 8th of January 2016, David Bowie released his 25 studio album, 2 days later he was dead.
The album acts partly as a diary and partly as a goodbye letter, just like his life David Bowie’s death was a work of art. We're on twitter: @longplayerpod // @benburrell.
