Do you love deadlines? Let’s be honest. We don’t love them most of the time. We tend to feel like they are too much pressure on us, but I believe they are essential in our lives. They help us get things done. For instance, if you have a goal and book, it on a particular date, you will always do everything you can to ensure you hit the goal. Right? The date becomes your deadline, and more often than not, we meet the deadlines.
Not long ago, we moved to Truro. Before we moved, we had deadlines on everything we needed to do to both our houses. True to it, we managed to hit the deadlines.
That’s why people say that goals without deadlines are just dreams. Let’s master the art of giving life to our plans by assigning them deadlines. Chloe and I love travelling and going on holidays. To achieve that, we always set deadlines for everything we need to do personally or in our business.
I would love to hear from you. What deadlines have you set for yourself? I wouldn’t mind being your accountability partner. Feel free to send me a message, and I will be keen to keep you in check.

Did you know that batching can help you become more productive and help you save time? Batching up on repetitive tasks creates room for you to concentrate on other things peacefully. For instance, today has been a podcast day for me. I am recording all the episodes for September and handing them in for postproduction. Batching works like a charm for me because I will concentrate on other aspects of the business over the next three weeks and have some fun at the beach.
How can you start batching?
To start batching, you need to have a pen and paper. List down all the repetitive tasks you have to handle in a week or a month. Next, look at the tasks you can comfortably work on in one sitting. For instance, if you are a podcaster, you can decide to dedicate one day to recording, editing, making your show notes, and scheduling your podcasts. What this does is that it allows your brain to be in the flow and get on autopilot.
If you've got any questions about batching, I'm glad to answer them. Feel free to send me an email at: [email protected]
Which tasks do you think you can batch? Let me know in the comments.

Do goals come true? I believe deep inside me that goals do come true. I ticked a bunch of goals off my goals list. Not because I gave up on them, but because I achieved them. Dr. Doug Bennett wrote a fantastic book called Goals Do Come True. This book has been such an inspiration to me, and I highly recommend it. It is such an easy read that I’m sure you can benefit from it too.
I’ve been looking back at all my goals, and now they are achieved. I must say I’m amazed and more motivated to set even more. Here are some of the goals that I have achieved so far:
Ran a marathonWe moved to Cornwall. This was essential for our family because we wanted the children to go to Truro schools, which are 15 minutes away from where we live. Also, we wanted to have a chance to go to the sea at least four times a week. Last week I managed to be at the beach four times a week. Hooray! I achieved!Laughing on stage with at least 2000 people. This is one goal that excites me the most. I did it!Today I am here to motivate you to keep setting goals because goals come true. Today take a few minutes off your schedule and set your goals. Don’t forget to write them down because the more you write them down, the more they become a reality, and the more you want to work towards them.
Do you need help setting the goals? Please feel free to reach out to me.

How often do you say No to things, no matter how good they appear? As human beings, we tend to avoid saying “No,” yet it could save us from much pain later. When you say no, it gives you room to concentrate on other important things.
The other day, Scott, a plumber, was fixing a few things in our house. He was working on a Saturday and kept saying it wasn’t sitting well with him. The problem is that he takes a lot of jobs that make him work on Saturdays and keep him away from his son. Scott says yes to everything, and he ends up missing out on important things like family time.
I talked him into accepting that he can say no, which is okay. I have had to say no to a number of jobs because they do not sit well with my boundaries or vision. You can do the same too. Learn to say no to good things that will lead to you having time for great things. The thing is you have to find a good way of saying no.
For instance, if you amicably turn down a job because the pay is low, if the company is dedicated to having you take up the job, they will do everything in their power to ensure they get to a level where you can agree.

How do you stay motivated?
I know there are days when motivation decides to escape through the window, yet there is a lot to be done. When such days come, you do not have to fret. I have some tips that will help you get back on track.
Set your goals: When you have a goal, it helps you remain motivated and focused. Nothing beats seeing yourself get closer to your goals.
Break down your goals: As humans, we tend to put off tasks that are too big. We feel like they're going to take a lot of time. The secret lies in breaking them down. There is an old saying, how do you eat an elephant? You eat it one bite at a time.
Ask for reviews: Nothing can get you all fired up than a good review from a customer. It gives you the confidence to keep moving. Don't shy away from asking for reviews.
Feel gratitude: Being grateful opens doors in our lives, and it keeps us going and looking forward to better days. Do you have a gratitude routine?
Key Talking Points of the Episode:
[01:10] Goal setting
[01:45] Break down your goals
[02:46] Ask your customers for reviews and feedback
[04:08] Feel gratitude
Standout Quotes from the Episode:
"The more grateful we are, the more we attract goodness to ourselves, which ultimately then keeps us motivated."
"If you've got a vision to aim for, you're going to be motivated to achieve that goal. There's nothing better than being able to tick off that to do list."

Did you know that FOCUS is an acronym that stands for follow one course until success? It is such a great tool when it comes to productivity. Do you ever get up in the morning, look at everything you have to achieve, and wonder where to begin? At the end of the day, you find that you went round in circles and achieved almost nothing. Don’t fret, you are not alone. I was there a while ago, but not anymore. I have learnt how to embrace the power of focusing on one thing.
Chloe and I own a Chef agency here in the UK. Pre-Covid was doing very well, but when Covid happened, it went down. Post-Covid, things are looking up again, and we are becoming busy by the day. I have to balance The Chef Tree and being the Laughter man.
I have a whiteboard in my office that helps me remain organized. A while back, I used to find that I had a lot to do, but at the end of the day, I could find that I had not accomplished much. I reached out to a coach, my friend, and they told me to try focusing on one thing at a time. True to it, things started moving when I started focusing on one thing at a time. Looking back, I have checked off many items from my list.

The Covid pandemic made us realize that laughter yoga online is as good as in person. People adopted online laughing yoga when the pandemic hit, and we got locked down. We basically started doing it four times a day to get ourselves through what was happening at the moment in the world. It soon made me realize that we don't need to be in-person to laugh with each other.
After being a laughter yogi for years, I can tell there is a slight difference at the end. The in-person laughter tends to have a more powerful ending. There's the bit where you do the free flow and laughter and close your eyes. However, I feel that that is still achievable online if it's set up in the right way. One of the things we need to know about online laughter is that you have to get your concentration there to reap the maximum benefits. If you are on an online session, make sure you are not doing other things like checking your emails or social media. They will distract you.
Are your camera shy? You don't have to join the session with your camera. You only need to have your microphone on and laugh along with other people. Thanks to Clubhouse, we now have an audible app where we all can show up not caring about getting dressed.
Would you like to join an online laughter club? My advice is to go to Facebook and search for laughter yoga groups on Facebook, and there's even a zoom laughter yoga group as well, where people post all their clubs. Join the group you will find worthwhile. Soon I will have a laughter yoga club when we move to Cornwall. If you would like to be part of the club, please message me on any social channel at #thelaughterman

The world needs more laughter, and I am making it my goal to spread as much laughter as possible. Soon, we are moving to different parts of the UK, to a lovely county called Cornwall, so we're leaving Bristol, the city. However, I still want to do my laughter yoga training in Bristol, which will be running twice a year.
I have also been thinking of doing laughter yoga training across the UK. Very soon I will be in a town near you. We need more laughter yoga leaders to help us spread laughter. Laughter yoga is so accessible to everybody, and it's such a simple but effective well-being tool. I know we have buddies for different things. Do you have somebody you can pick up the phone to and laugh with? What a great idea to have like a sponsor, a buddy that when you're feeling a little bit blue, down, or low and you need that lift?
How cool would it be able to have a phone, pass phone, somebody who's in the same frame of mind, as you understand the benefits of laughter understands. You get a release of endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, all of these beautiful chemicals flowing around the brain, and the body feels more energized, feels lighter, feels amazing.
Let's face it, laugh yoga is easy, but sometimes it is hard to laugh alone. It would be best if you had someone to laugh with. If you need a laughter buddy, I'm there for you. You can join me for a giggle on Clun House Monday to Friday at 8:15 for 10 minutes.
Also, if you're listening to this podcast and you've not reached out to me before to say hi, just do it. Feel free to reach out. I'm just laughing over in the corner, and I'd love to have a chat with you about how you could buddy up. I could help you find some other people that laugh in your area. I know a lot of laughter Yogis, laughter clubs, and people running clubs across the world. I can connect you with other laughter professionals across the world.

Have you ever attended a laughter session where most of the exercises are gibberish? It is fun, and it comes with a load of benefits for the mind, body, and soul. According to Alex Sternick, life is illogical, and we need to laugh about it because we cannot control it.

Is there a difference between laughter yoga and laughing yoga? Honestly, this is where we say the difference is the same. The two words mean the same thing. If you are listening to today's episode, you must be curious to know what laughter yoga is.
Laughter yoga is all about laughing for no reason at all. We don't need jokes. We don't need humour when we laugh. When we do laughter yoga or laughter yoga, the premise is that the body doesn't know the difference between fake and real laughter. We do these different laughing exercises and various breathing exercises to trick the brain into thinking that we are genuinely laughing. Before you know it, you are genuinely laughing, especially when you're in our group of people. It's highly contagious.
Last week I was on stage with about 250 people. When we started, some people didn't want to laugh. By the end of the session, the whole auditorium was laughing, and the energy had been lifted. With laughter yoga, we incorporate yogic breathing. We don't necessarily use yoga poses.
A study shows that, when we breathe, normally, 20% of oxygen sits in the bottom of our lungs, and like this residue of, of stale oxygen that we hardly ever breathe out. But, when we do laughing yoga or laughter yoga, we exhale it.

Time is the most valuable resource that we have. How we spend it determines how much we can achieve. Unfortunately, most entrepreneurs are caught up in the cycle of work after work, and they have little or no room to be present for themselves and their families. Taking time to relax creates space for our creative juices to work. “Disco” Dave Wynn, tells us all about it in this episode.
Dave helps successful people who feel unfulfilled become joyfully successful through the power of music and deep coaching. He’s a father, husband, coach, DJ, mentor, smiler, and co-founder of heart-centered Leaders, a coaching & leadership transformation business empowering generation of heart-centred humans to make the world a happier, better place for all. He loves feeling invested in his clients and enthusiastically sitting in the “tough stuff” with them.
In this episode, Dave shares some nuggets of wisdom on how we can be intentional with our time. For instance, how much time do you spend on your phone doing nothing?
Listen to this episode and get challenged by “Disco” Dave Wynn.

“We all remember the term walk before you can run. What we miss is that babies first learn to fall. They become experts at falling so that it’s not going to hurt as much when they start moving.”
“Purpose is an ability to channel an energy that is completely abundant, completely sustainable.”
“Learning to let go and learning to be in space just be where creative creativity emerges from.”
