It's the end of an era at Otterbein UMC as we say good-bye to our loving pastor Jonette. Happy New Year! We start the new year in the midst of winter and we feel it's chills to the bone. Sitting near the hearth of a fireplace or simply the furness vent in the kitchen we can warm the flesh. There is a fire that warms the heart and spirit. Christmas time is here . . . and we would like to share with you some Christmas cheer. The winter is cold. Thankfully many of the meals served by Lancaster Community Meals are hot and available everyday for at least breakfast and dinner. Providing, a sustainable nutrition for some of the most food-insecure individuals in our Lancaster community. Many of them are without a home or the means to provide for themselves, those who are able find that a good meal is there as they build their own self-sustainability. In this Episode Jason talks with Theresa Rettig from First Reformed Church in downtown Lancaster about their part in providing these meals for the people and we visit the people serving and receiving these meals during a Saturday Breakfast at First Reformed Church. Listen as we hear the stories and learn how you might be able to help be part of this gracious offering to those most in need.

Jason shares with Jonette about a mission to a children's home Hogar de Ninos Renacer meaning children's home of the reborn, located in a small village out side the capitol city of Hounduras. On his trip Jason captured a series of interviews with, not only the people responsible for this important mission but, with one of the participants and former resident of the children's home, Ernesto Cortez. In this episode we discover how the help, of scholarships and the loving support for these children over the past 22 years, has made and impact, on not only their own lives but, to betterment of the lives of their fellow Hondurans.
