Thank you so much for Joining us in the first season of Fashion Utopia - where we discuss the world of fashion; how people can discover and explore their fashion culture with cutting edge professionals in the industry. This episode focuses on the Art of Fashion - how fashion is an art in everyday life; today, I have the honor of interviewing an eclectic, artistic fashion entrepreneur, Anne Temmick!Annie Temmink is a sculptor and costume designer with international accolades for her work. Her costumes, headwear and constructed accessories have been featured in the World of Wearable Art (Wellington, New Zealand), at the Video Music Awards (Los Angeles, Ca), on stage for the Crucible (Oakland, Ca), on the cover of Whurk magazine (Richmond, Va), and in numerous fashion shows along the east coast. The recipient of a prestigious Watson Fellowship, Annie has worked with master craftsmen in Indonesia, Japan, India, Uganda, and Ghana. Annie has a BA in sculpture and math from Davidson College and loves to dance. Her research has spanned topics of Kudzu and Kente weaving to house building and Boolean logic. Her eclectic interests strive to find a balance of form and function, seeking to transform humble materials into emotive experiences.
