(Note: This episode went live with the wrong audio file, and was a duplicate of episode 121. If you are seeing this message, it should be fixed. The responsible party has been stoned) New map is released, news to Cass apparently who couldn't find time to even take a look over in Japan. Too much sake. Join us as we discuss our first takes on Abyss, along with a possibly broken Iso buff and underwhelming Neon.

The three hosts represent Pacific, Eastern, and whatever timezone Japan is in as Cass patches in from vacation. Shanghai has birthed some very cool storylines, but the patch preview from Riot steals the show. Neon stonks are sliding precipitously upwards, Iso is also looking like less of a total throw to pick, Reyna gets a strange sidegrade, and Raze and Clove get knocked down a peg.

Trouble is brewing at Rito HQ as they attempt to placate the masses who are fuming at the current map pool, lack of a replay system (coming soon since 2020), and the current agent meta. Desperate to curry favor with the playerbase, Riot mixes up the map pool, shows a WIP replay system, and bribes Chase, Cass, and guest Blate45 to shill for their anti-fun Raze satchel nerf (details TBD). After Hunter 1v3 clutches against the rest of the gang, we move on to giving some of the least informed Shanghai takes available, and sprinkle in a healthy dose of bemoaning Riot's pro play structure.

The Riot devs finally took a cue from this podcast and implemented pretty much exactly what we said to nerf Viper. Too bad they didnt listen to the whole episode and they fucked up Cypher at the same time. The moral of the story: listen to DVP.

We craft a compelling case for Riot to hire us as we fix the current agent meta. Dissecting the current kits of all agents who need some love or have had way too much of it, we concoct ways to keep us ranked demons happy while also helping the pro meta. Chase also returns in this episode to defend his honor as a primary smoker, trying to keep a certain upstart Clove main from stealing his primary function on Brim. In my unprofessional opinion, I think we really cooked with some of these ideas.

The legendary Duby returns for the first time since episode 4 to help us look at each of the under-performing agents with an "I can fix her" mentality, leading to the same outcome as when that saying is normally used, which is an "I am making her worse" result. It gets heated in the kitchen as we debate whether we are cooking up some delicious Truffle-based recipes or disgusting Surstomming (the fermented Scandinavian fish).

Turns out, all you duelist mains now playing clove to fill, you still need to play SMOKES. Cass also explains his smoothest brain take on how to use the Bulldog... as someone who never uses the bulldog... nice.

No more being bloinded by your teammates because the verdict is in: flashes are bad. You heard it here second folks, turns out you can still shoot when you can't see anything. Tune in as we discuss how flashless comps work in the pro league, and how they definitely DONT work in your ranked games.

Cass comes back from Australia with his head still upside down, claiming some people should never buy a rifle.... not cause your aim is dogshit (which it is) but for econ? Plus a recap of a very wild Kick Off tournament for VCT, and some SEN fanboys are in the chat.

Hunter wasn't able to find a time to record with Cass and Chase this week, but he wasn't going to let that stop him from thoroughly glazing Loud for their impressive takedown of Leviatan. Loud have pushed the meta before, and Hunter is here on the bleeding edge to tell you about the changes that are coming to pro Valorant in the wake of this game. Tune in to hear him struggle to maintain his sanity while talking to himself for 1.5 hours, barely able to even drink due to the awkward pauses it creates in a solo podcast.

Our man Blate45 is back this week to talk about the first few matches coming out of NA VCT. SEN city is poppin with a huge loss to Loud, 100T + Boostio are kinda cracked, and we finally see the superteams of NRG and Lev on stage for the first time. A lot has happened, we saw some of it, so lets goooo.

This podcast was honestly so all over the place I have no idea what to call it. We talked about skins, and icebox, and Altered Carbon? Fuck, did we even have topics for this week? Cass? Plus a short intro to the upcoming pro season, before we really dive in next week!

Of all the topics in all the world, how is it we keep talking about this one? Because fuck breeze. Fuck halls being open, but also fuck it being closed. Why does this map exist? We're gonna talk about it. And some other things sprinkled amongst the rage.

Or should I say WAS the limit... Seems like Riot is taking their hate for Oceania even further with the recent patch. Everything already wants to kill you down there, no need to kill their agents too. Join us as we discuss all things Skye nerf. Who benefits? Who is mad? Who can finally pop their birds without letting them expire?
Also a bit too much NFL talk.

Literally how useless I feel on that fucking map, it's disgusting. But Riot has apparently completed their renovations on halls and will be reopening shortly. Also more of the never-ending talk of light shields, and how the Outlaw has affected the meta, and wrapping up with the lack of pro games in the upcoming season. We want more Val.

With some time under their belts to evaluate the Outlaw, will Cass and Hunter fall victim to its propaganda or push back against the hype train? Cass also initiates a session of cathartic yelling at the sky about Rito's greedy and soulless battlepass.
Oh, and where is Chase? Turns out he subscribed to light shields meta IRL, and didn't hear about the Outlaw being added while on vacation. He stepped off the plane to go home and immediately got one-tapped in the chest through his light shields. Rip :(

Should Riot "outlaw" the players who only ever buy a single gun in a comp game? Well they certainly aren't going to, and everyone is going to be rocking this shorty/marshall/op hybrid at the beginning of this act. Tune in to hear Blate45 join Cass and Hunter as we discuss just how strong the new gun will be, and stick around for yet another round of speculation on how the new map changes will make your ranked games worse.

Valorant looking like Venezuela with the prices of these Ults nowadays. But could it be good for the game? Or is Riot truly just anti-fun? Plus, wrapping up this season of Premier, and our current thoughts on Gekko and Iso.
