Joe was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and since childhood he has loved the Philadelphia Phillies. According to him, “I live and die with the Phillies, no matter where they are in the standings. They have been playing great of late and that makes me happy!”
Now a Nashvillian for almost five decades, Joe is also a Tennessee Titans football fan. He has had season tickets since they arrived in Nashville in 1998.
Joe is an avid writer and songwriter and became a published children’s book author in 1997 with The Molly Books, a four-book series published by Ideal’s Children’s Books.
In 2003, New Leaf Press published G. I. Joe and Lillie: Remembering a Life of Love and Loyalty, an inspirational biography Joe penned about his parents. His song by the same name was included on the Oaks’ Colors album, released the same year. A music video of the song reemerged in the summer of 2009 and became a YouTube phenomenon with almost six million views.
Joe also wrote the title song for the Oaks’ The Journey album, as well as the text for The Oak Ridge Boys’ coffee table book, An American Journey, published in 2004. In 2014, New Leaf published Joe’s Christmas short story, An Inconvenient Christmas, which was inspired by an Oak Ridge Boys’ song from an album by the same name.
In September 2010, Journey Press, a division of Sheaf House, released From My Perspective, a collection of Joe’s commentaries, stories, and other writings. His book Christmas Miracles, a collection of Christmas short stories and commentaries, originally published in 2008, was updated in 2012.
His most recent book, On the Road with The Oak Ridge Boys, was published by Harvest House Publishers in May 2015. For relaxation, Joe retreats to his farm on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line, where he can often be found on his John Deere tractor mowing part of his 350-acres—or sitting on his front porch and playing banjo, an instrument he has played for more than a decade.
He plays a step-out lead on the Oaks’ Rock of Ages CD. Joe has been singing since he was about four years old and in his mid-teens fell in love with Southern Gospel music harmony. A born-again Christian, he is always quick to give God the credit for everything he has accomplished.
He joined the Oaks in 1973, just prior to the group’s emergence on the Country music scene. As with the other group members, much of Joe’s time has been spent on the road performing, but he found his own way to get the maximum possible enjoyment out of touring. “My life has been simple,” says the Oak who was the principal spokesman on stage for five decades. “I go out there and try to sing the best I can and give them physically and mentally everything I’ve got. When it’s done, I go back to my room or the bus, eat some pizza or sushi, call my Mary, get on my Apple laptop, do a little writing, and say to myself, ‘Hey, I’ve done what I’m supposed to be doing and I feel great about it.’” Joe and his wife, Mary, have two daughters, Jennifer, and Sabrina; two grandchildren, Breanne and Luke, who recently served in the U.S. Navy; and one great grandson, Noah Chance.
They also have four cats, Mitty, Crockett, Barney, and Maggie Mae. In early 2024, Joe announced his retirement from touring due to the onset of a neuromuscular disorder. He passed on to Glory on July 9, 2024, due to complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He leaves behind his precious wife, Mary Ann, daughters Jennifer and Sabrina, granddaughter Breanne, grandson Luke, two great grandsons, Chance and Grey, and a sister, Nancy. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph S. Bonsall Sr. and Lillie Bonsall.
A memoir written by Joe in early 2024, entitled I See Myself, will be released in November.

Our guests today are Audra Dunleavy, Vice President and Partner of Natural Path Silver Wings. and Dr. Chris Terrell, a Naturopathic Doctor, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
When it comes to colloidal silver, the term “parts per million” (PPM) refers to its strength. A higher PPM is your advantage with atomic silver, whereas lower PPM limitations are ionic silver.
This blog will accurately clarify the ENTIRE colloidal silver PPM breakdown which include; 1) what PPM means, 2) how it relates to colloidal silver, 3) the two types of colloidal silver, 4) higher PPM and lower PPM difference, 5) small particle size, 6) why PPM matters in colloidal silver, 7) usage guideline and 8) why PPM matters.
Understanding PPM: The Role of Parts Per Million in Colloidal Silver
When searching PPM, many articles neglect one foremost major factor- the important distinction that there are two types of colloidal silver on the market: atomic and ionic. Understanding PPM related to each of these two specific silver types is paramount because PPM is essential for anyone pursuing colloidal silver for immune support or topical skin applications.*
What is PPM?
Parts per million is a unit of measurement that expresses the concentration of one substance in a million parts of another. In simpler terms, it’s a way to quantify how much of a particular substance is present in a solution. For example, a solution with a concentration of 1 PPM means that there is one part of the solute (in this case, silver) for every million parts of the solvent (purified water).
Colloidal Silver: What You Need to Know
Colloidal silver, in atomic form, is a natural elemental mineral consisting of tiny silver particles suspended in liquid. It’s been used globally for many generations as an effective immune support. Colloidal silver is safe to use as long as it’s from a reputable manufacturer that is independent lab certified and made in an FDA registered facility. Colloidal silver can be taken direct orally via dropper or spray bottles because it has virtually no taste. Others prefer mixing it in a favorite beverage. Whichever is your preference, colloidal silver liquid is generally recommended for ages 4 years and older.
Silver also has a long history of amazing topical skin usage. There is numerous worldwide literature about a variety of silver supporting skin health. Silver is also used for purification purposes.
Two Types of Colloidal Silver- Atomic & Ionic
Ionic colloidal silver is electrically processed and has a clear liquid appearance because it has only between 10 PPM to 30 PPM silver which is much weaker and thus requires many more doses leading to “dosing fatigue” and becomes more costly. Ionic formulas typically can NOT increase their PPM strength beyond 10 PPM to 20 PPM because particles would then clump together more quickly due to missing an electron and rendering it unstable and unsafe.
Atomic colloidal silver (recommended) is unadulterated and NOT electrically processed. It consists of full silver atoms and has an amber liquid color as nature intended. Due to its stability at higher concentrations, it’s safe to dose at higher parts per million (PPM) which gives you strong immune support. If you prefer lower PPM doses, atomic colloidal silver gives you the flexibility to simply take fewer doses which makes it much more economical on your wallet since the bottle will last you longer.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have friends who lost sons and daughters to Fentanyl. The powerful and compelling film documentary, Fentanyl: Death Incorporated provides an
in-depth exploration of the Fentanyl crisis, the most dangerous drug ever created, which has become the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45.
Through interviews with international intelligence operatives, law enforcement officials, medical professionals, policymakers, and affected families, the film uncovers the unprecedented potency of Fentanyl, which is 100 times more powerful than morphine. It examines the swift escalation in overdose deaths—the fastest in U.S. history—and highlights the global and domestic supply chains contributing to the epidemic.
The documentary also addresses the failures of current harm reduction strategies, the need for robust treatment solutions, and the profound impact on families and communities. Fentanyl: Death Incorporated is a crucial viewing experience that seeks to raise awareness and drive action against one of the most pressing public health crises of our time.
When you see this film, you will see that America has the largest number of drug users, a lax court system and no system to encourage recovery or to protect our kids.
Every parent should be able to see their kids grow up, but many are left with a granite headstone, a name and two dates, because we are losing a war that goes beyond, “Just Say No to Drugs”.

Ladies and gentlemen, with honesty, tenderness and, yes, sometimes humor, the film Facing the Wind invites viewers into the lives of people with Lewy body dementia and their caregivers…real people in real time. FACING THE WIND, a sixty-minute documentary film, reveals how a mutual support community can be an antidote to despair, letting people know they are not alone. You will follow their journey, laughing and crying with them, while taking an unflinching look at dementia care with its overwhelming and isolating aspects. The struggle is real, but so is the love.
Ladies and gentlemen, Lewy body dementia is not a rare disease. It affects more than 1.4 million people in America. It is the second most common form of dementia, but it still being misdiagnosed.
Alzheimer’s disease is the gradual decline of memory as Lewy body dementia is the roller coaster ride with ups and downs. One moment the patient can be fully present and lucid and the next be completely lost or deal with hallucinations from mild to severe.
There is no cure, but this very powerful film documentary is not for those suffering with Lewy body dementia, but for the people who care for them. Many spouses and family members are thrust into being a caregiver and navigating the vast ocean of the unknown.
FACING THE WIND is a starting place for caregivers and to know that it’s ok to not be ok. Head over to LewyBodyResourceCenter.org for more information. If your loved one was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia, you are not alone and there are resources right now that can help you.

My guest today is the founder and executive director of the Lewy body Resource Center.
Norma’s knowledge and experience with Lewy body dementia began with the personal care of her mother, Lillian, who had LBD for many years.
Norma has been facilitating the only New York Metro area LBD caregivers support groups since 2008. She also leads a national group for people living with LBD which has been lauded.
She served on the board of directors of the Lewy Body Dementia Association for three years before launching the LBD Resource Center in 2016 to provide much needed support and resources on more personal and connective levels.
Norma worked as executive assistant to the CFO at The New York Times Company for over 20 years. While there, she served as chairperson of the work/life committee of The New York Times’ women’s affinity group and initiated and ran their eldercare support group.
Her expertise working with the top executives at The Times, as well as her managerial experience as executive director and a co-founder of What BETTER Looks Like, a nonprofit organization which partners with communities to help individuals imagine, articulate, and create visions for a better world, has prepared her to lead the LBD Resource Center which is very dear to her heart.
Ladies and gentlemen, Lewy body dementia (LBD) is the second most common form of progressive dementia, affecting more than 1.4 million Americans. Because LBD comes with a host of physical, cognitive and behavioral symptoms, it often mimics Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease or a psychiatric disorder.
As a result, it is widely misdiagnosed. Even as diagnoses increase, resources for people with LBD and their families still remain extremely limited. Citing this lack of resources and assistance, the Lewy Body Dementia Resource Center was founded to provide much needed services and support for people with LBD and their loved ones.
Go to LewybodyResourceCenter.org or LDBNY.org for more information.

My guests today are southern rock icons Van Zant who have reunited and returned to the studio for what will be their first new album in nearly two decades. The new album ALWAYS LOOK UP will also mark the duo’s first foray into Christian music, while holding firm to their southern rock roots.

But throughout their four decades of climbing the southern rock and country charts together and separately, faith has stayed just as important of a factor in the equation, so much so that the guys decided to finally share their inspirational side with the upcoming new album.
So from southern rock to standing on the rock, let’s welcome southern rock royalty Donnie and Johnny Van Zant of VAN ZANT and their new album ALWAYS LOOK UP to the show!

Michael Wolff, a renowned jazz pianist, composer and bandleader known for his virtuoso performances and innovative style. After leaving music school early to join the Latin-jazz great Cal Yader’s band in the early ’70s, he spent the next two decades gigging and recording extensively. Michael can be heard on over 21 recordings with a veritable hall of fame ranging from Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, Nancy Wilson (he was her musical director), Sheila E, Christian McBride, Tony Williams, and more.
He has performed with and conducted over 25 symphony orchestras worldwide and also had a five-year tenure as the musical director of the high energy house band on Arsenio Hall’s groundbreaking late-night talk show. His newest album, MEMOIR is a stunning collection of 11 tracks, a mixture of moods, beautifully and elegantly played with his frequent trio partners, stellar musicians Alan Mednard, and Ben Allison.
His newest album release is especially noteworthy because it is miraculous he is alive after a brutal battle with a misdiagnosed form of cancer that had him at death's door. But he’s back making incredible music!
