Was justice actually served in the Delphi case, or is there more beneath the surface? The latest legal motions in Richard Allen’s conviction have been denied—no surprise there—but what’s raising eyebrows is the latest bombshell: an inmate claims Ron Logan confessed to the murders and implicated others, yet those claims were allegedly buried before Allen’s trial. With accusations that key evidence was ignored and new allegations linking Keegan Klein to the crime, the case is on shaky ground. But is an inmate's word enough to unravel the prosecution’s story? And if he’s lying, what exactly does he stand to gain? #DelphiMurders #TrueCrime #RichardAllen #LegalDrama #HiddenKillers #CrimeInvestigation #JusticeOrNot

Special Judge Fran Gull has rejected efforts by Richard Allen’s attorneys to overturn his murder conviction in the Delphi murders case, denying multiple defense motions aimed at securing a retrial. Despite Allen’s conviction and sentencing to 130 years in prison for the 2017 murders of Liberty "Libby" German and Abigail "Abby" Williams, his attorneys continue to argue that key evidence was withheld and new information has surfaced.
In an order dated Feb. 14, Gull denied the defense’s Verified Motion to Correct Error, a request filed on Jan. 20 seeking to vacate Allen’s conviction. She also denied a second motion filed on Feb. 14 to strike the state’s response, as well as a motion to correct the abstract of judgment. These rulings were entered into the case record on Feb. 18 and were made without a hearing.
The defense’s latest challenge revolves around an Indiana inmate, Ricci Davis, who claims that two men—Ron Logan and Kegan Kline—confessed their involvement in the murders. Logan, who owned the land where the girls were found, allegedly admitted to Davis that he committed the murders and provided details only the killer would know. Davis says Kline, a convicted child pornographer, later corroborated Logan’s statements and expressed relief after Allen’s conviction, believing it would keep him from being a suspect.
Davis claims he sent as many as eight letters to Carroll County Prosecutor Nick McLeland during Allen’s trial, detailing what he was told. He also alleges that he provided a recorded interview to police. However, Allen’s defense team has never seen these letters or the interview, and McLeland has refused to confirm whether they exist or were shared with the defense.
“Ricci Davis was shocked to learn that Baldwin had never received this videotaped interview,” the defense wrote in their motion, referencing a conversation between Davis and Allen’s attorney, Andrew Baldwin, in February 2025.
The defense has accused McLeland of withholding evidence and failing to disclose whether the letters and recorded statements exist. Baldwin said he repeatedly asked for clarification but received no response from the prosecution.
"McLeland’s response was vague, non-responsive to the defense request and did not indicate whether he ever received those letters, nor whether he sent those letters to the defense," the defense motion states.
Prosecutors have countered that Allen’s attorneys had the opportunity to present evidence at trial and that Davis’ claims are unreliable. The state revealed that Davis “miserably” failed a polygraph test when pressed about Logan’s alleged confession.
Davis, who is serving a 50-year prison sentence for meth distribution, admitted that he initially withheld some details in 2024 because he was unsure whether Allen was one of the men involved. However, in their February 2025 conversation, Davis told Baldwin that he later realized Allen was not the third person involved and tried to alert prosecutors.
Now, Allen’s defense team is pushing for the letters, interview recording, and any related communications to be preserved and turned over. They argue that the information could impact Allen’s conviction and support their claims that he is innocent.
Meanwhile, various media outlets have filed motions requesting the public release of certain case records, adding further pressure to the already contentious legal battle.
With Judge Gull’s latest rulings, Allen’s conviction remains intact, but his defense team continues to challenge the state’s handling of evidence. The case remains active as both sides await further court rulings.

More Shocking Evidence IGNORED In Delphi That Could Lead To Real Killer
In this episode of Hidden Killers with Tony Brueski, we uncover a shocking twist in the Delphi murders case. Inmate Ricci Davis claims that Ron Logan—the man who owned the property where Abby Williams and Libby German were found—confessed to the murders back in 2017. But here’s the bombshell: Davis says he sent seven letters to Prosecutor Nicholas McLeland before Richard Allen’s conviction, detailing Logan’s alleged confession, and they were completely ignored.
Even more disturbing? Davis says he offered to wear a wire to capture Logan admitting to the crime, and investigators shut him down. Now, with new forensic details matching Logan’s alleged confession, could this mean prosecutors knowingly suppressed key evidence? Was Richard Allen convicted while the real killers walked free?
Join Tony Brueski as he unpacks the latest revelations, the alleged cover-up, and what this means for the Delphi case moving forward. Could this be the break that turns everything upside down?

Delphi Murders FULL Breakdown of Richard Allen’s BOMBSHELL Legal Motion!
In this explosive episode of Hidden Killers with Tony Brueski, we break down a shocking new motion filed by Richard Allen’s defense team—one that could turn the entire Delphi murders case on its head.
An inmate, Ricci Davis, says he has critical evidence that was ignored by prosecutors. According to Davis, Ron Logan, the former property owner where Abby Williams and Libby German were found, confessed to the murders and implicated two other people. Even more disturbing? Davis says he sent eight letters to Prosecutor Nicholas McLeland detailing this information before Allen’s trial—letters that were never turned over to the defense.
And it doesn’t stop there. Davis claims Kegan Kline—already a controversial figure in this case—privately admitted details only the killers would know and even expressed relief when Allen was convicted, allegedly believing it took him off the radar.
So why were these letters never disclosed? Why has the prosecution failed to answer direct questions about them? And what does this mean for Richard Allen’s conviction?
Join Tony Brueski as he dissects this legal bombshell, the alleged cover-up, and the chilling new allegations that could expose the real killers of Abby and Libby.

For the first time since the 2017 Delphi murders, the state of Indiana has released crime scene photos, shedding new light on the evidence used to convict Richard Allen in the deaths of 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German.
The photos, included in a legal response by Carroll County Prosecutor Nicholas McLeland, show different angles of Libby German’s cellphone before it was collected as evidence. The same phone recorded the infamous "bridge guy" video, which played a crucial role in the case. Prosecutors argue the images reinforce their claim that environmental factors, such as water or dirt, could have impacted the phone’s functionality. However, Allen’s defense team disputes this, insisting the phone was manually activated even after it had reportedly stopped moving.
Allen, 52, was convicted in November and sentenced to 130 years in prison for the killings. His attorneys have since filed a Motion to Correct Errors, arguing that multiple issues— including forensic concerns, Allen’s treatment while in custody, allegedly false evidence, and an alleged confession from another man— warrant a new trial or the overturning of his conviction.
Defense attorney claims safekeeping order was illegal
Allen’s lawyers have long argued that his pretrial detention at the Westville Correctional Facility, where he spent significant time in solitary confinement, severely impacted his mental health and ultimately influenced the trial’s outcome. They describe the safekeeping order that placed him in the facility as “plainly illegal from start to finish.”
In response, McLeland dismissed these concerns, stating, “The motion for safekeeping does not touch on matters of guilt or impact the ability to have a fair trial, it is a mechanism for housing the Defendant in a penal facility pending trial that will keep him and others safe.”
Surveillance footage and allegations of false evidence
The defense has also pointed to newly surfaced surveillance footage from near the crime scene that they claim contradicts the prosecution’s timeline of events. According to Allen’s attorneys, jurors were presented with false evidence during the trial.
McLeland, however, has pushed back, stating that the video is “unverified by legitimate means” and lacks an Indiana State Police identification number. As a result, he argues, it is “an improper submission for consideration by the Court.”
Alleged 2017 confession by another suspect
Another major argument in the defense’s motion revolves around an alleged confession by Ron Logan, the late owner of the property where Abby and Libby were found. According to Indiana State Police records from 2017, Logan allegedly gave a detailed account of how he killed the girls.
Allen’s attorneys argue that excluding Logan as a third-party suspect was a critical mistake by the court. However, McLeland downplayed the confession, stating that the person who reported it to police “failed the polygraph miserably” and that “many of those details are directly contradicted by the evidence.”
Prosecutors push back against new trial request
McLeland has urged the judge to deny the defense’s motion outright, arguing, “The Defense is not permitted to request a new trial to change strategy when their chosen path fails.”
Former prosecutor and current defense attorney Brad Banks echoed this sentiment, predicting that Allen’s request will be swiftly denied. “I won’t be surprised if this was denied pretty readily,” Banks said. “I think there’s somewhere close to 0% chance any of this gets granted.”
NBCUniversal fights for public access to evidence
In a separate legal development, NBCUniversal has filed a motion requesting that all trial evidence and exhibits be made public. The media company had previously submitted a public records request seeking access to materials in the case, but the state denied that request.

Why would a judge seemingly ignore mountains of evidence pointing toward another suspect? That’s the question at the heart of this bizarre turn in the Delphi case, where FBI agents built a compelling case against Ron Logan—only for local authorities to seemingly shrug it off and move on. Despite 13 tips, forensic comparisons, and even his own former housemate saying, "That sure looks like him," the case pivoted in a completely different direction.
Did small-town politics and judicial bias derail the investigation? Was the judge simply taking the prosecution’s word at face value? And why did it take an ex-girlfriend multiple attempts to even get authorities to listen to her? With Logan now deceased, could this complicate Richard Allen’s appeal, or is this case already too far down a questionable path to be salvaged?

Why did investigators seemingly sideline the FBI's findings in the Delphi murders? Ron Logan's property was the crime scene, his alibi was a lie, and even an inmate claimed he confessed. Yet, years later, the focus abruptly shifted to Richard Allen. Was evidence ignored? Were local law enforcement determined to pin the case on someone else? Former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins to untangle the baffling legal decisions and the eerie gaps in the investigation. If the FBI believed Logan was the guy, why didn’t the case follow that lead? And most importantly—where did all the blood go?

Delphi’s Biggest Blind Spot: How Investigators Ignored Ron Logan
What happens when justice isn't blind but just looking the other way? The Delphi murders case has taken some bizarre turns, but the way investigators seemingly ignored glaring evidence in favor of their own narrative is enough to make anyone suspicious. Why was Ron Logan handed to them on a silver platter only to be brushed aside? Why did a judge act like due process was optional? And why does it feel like every step of this case has been choreographed to ensure Richard Allen takes the fall, whether he’s guilty or not? From potential small-town cover-ups to wild Odinism theories, the tangled mess of this investigation makes it seem like the truth is the last thing anyone really wants to find. But with so many roadblocks and a justice system that looks more like a rigged game, what’s the real endgame here?

The Art of Looking Away- Delphi Investigators vs. Basic Evidence
Why does it feel like the deeper we dig into the Delphi case, the less it makes sense? Richard Allen is locked up based on shaky evidence, while glaringly obvious red flags about Ron Logan were seemingly ignored. The FBI had Logan lined up as the primary suspect—right up until local investigators told them, "Nah, we got this," and tossed the federal findings aside like an unwanted Christmas gift.
Seriously, what happened here? How do you go from a suspect with an alibi hole so big you could drive a semi through it to someone with no known connection to the victims? Was it tunnel vision? Incompetence? Or something far more sinister hiding just out of sight? Former FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke breaks down the baffling missteps, investigative biases, and why this case reeks of "all the elements of stupid."
And the million-dollar question: what did they find in Ron Logan’s house that made local authorities turn the other way?

Why did investigators overlook Ron Logan when so much seemed to point in his direction? His property was the crime scene, his alibi was a lie, and even the FBI thought they had enough to make an arrest. Yet, years later, law enforcement pivoted to Richard Allen instead. Was it tunnel vision? Was crucial evidence ignored? Or was it simply more convenient to look elsewhere?
Former felony prosecutor and defense attorney Eric Faddis joins us to unravel the baffling decisions in the Delphi case. From Logan’s suspicious alibi to the eerie lack of blood at the crime scene, we examine what was missed, what was misinterpreted, and whether justice took a wrong turn.
Did investigators turn a blind eye to the most obvious suspect? Or was Ron Logan hiding in plain sight?

What Was Delphi PD Thinking? Ignoring Ron Logan Defies Logic
What happens when a case seems open and shut… but maybe it isn't? The Delphi murders of Abby Williams and Liberty German took a bizarre turn when local investigators dismissed the FBI’s strong suspicions about Ron Logan—the man on whose property the bodies were found. Despite a fake alibi set up before the girls were even discovered and a history of violence that included brutal assaults, Logan was somehow overlooked in favor of another suspect with far weaker connections. Was this a case of incompetence, a cover-up, or something even more sinister? And how do the families of the victims process a conviction that might not have been based on the full truth? If Logan wasn’t the killer, why did he act like he had something to hide?

What Evidence Is There in Delphi PD’s Stunning Ron Logan Oversight?
Why do some investigations seem to defy all logic? The Delphi murders have captivated and frustrated the public for years, but the deeper you dig, the more you start to wonder—how did things go so off track? Richard Allen sits behind bars, convicted on evidence that raises more questions than answers, while glaring red flags about Ron Logan were seemingly ignored. Why?
Retired FBI Special Agent and behavioral analysis expert Robin Dreeke joins the discussion, pulling back the curtain on investigative tunnel vision, biases, and the maddening reality of how crucial behavioral patterns were dismissed. The FBI had a clear suspect in Ron Logan, with compelling evidence placing him at the scene—but local authorities shut it all down. So, what really happened behind closed doors? And if law enforcement knowingly overlooked key evidence, was this just incompetence, or something worse?
