Jeanette was Chair of the Board of Trustees at New Adventures from 2015-2021, having previously worked with the Company on various reports and funding applications. Her wealth of experience in dance leadership roles includes as Director of Dance for Arts Council England and Director of Dance UK. Her consultancy work has also included Executive Consultant for Dance Consortium the network of large scale theatres that tours international contemporary dance; assessor for Clore Leadership, Arts Council England, the Scottish Government, and The Australian Ballet; Interim Director for DanceEast and co-facilitator for several Rural Retreats and the European DanceHouse Network atelier on leadership. In 2013, Jeanette was awarded the Jane Attenborough Dance UK Industry Award, and a CBE for services to dance in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Arthur Pita first worked for the company in the West End transfer of Swan Lake. During his seven years dancing for New Adventures, he performed in many shows, including Cinderella in which he played the Angel, Car Man in which he played Rocco and Angelo, and finally Nutcracker! in which he played Knickerbocker Glory.
For the past 15 years, dancer and choreographer, Arthur Pita, has run his own company, Ballo Arthur Pita. Arthur Pita has a distinctive, inclusive and pioneering choreographic approach, driven by the Creative Case for Diversity. Arthur’s work demonstrates his commitment to working with diversity. Arthur’s work is informed by experience and curiosity about the wider human experience of being ‘other’.
Ballo Arthur Pita's work is distinguished by its accessible, dance-theatre aesthetic and high production values. The quality and range of Ballo Arthur Pita’s work has attracted audiences from children, young people and families to first-time dance attenders as well as regular theatre- goers. Kerry trained at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and is Resident Artist for New Adventures. Kerry has created and performed in many roles for New Adventures, most notably the title role in Cinderella, Kim Boggs in the original cast of Edward Scissorhands and Clara in Nutcracker!
As Resident Artist, Kerry leads on creating and delivering a wide variety of projects for New Adventures and teaches in dance establishments across the UK and internationally. She has assisted in staging various works for the company and has been Resident Tour Director on Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty, Edward Scissorhands and Nutcracker!; as well as Rehearsal Director for Cinderella, Swan Lake and previous NACA winner James Cousins Company.

In this week's episode of Bourne to Dance, host, Paul Smethurst is joined by Helen Linsell. Since completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Community Dance at Laban in 2001, Helen has worked extensively as a Community Dance Practitioner. Her roles have included Youth Dance Practitioner for South East National Dance Agency, Dance Development Officer for Crawley Borough Council and Education and Community Dance Practitioner for Laban. In 2007, Helen joined Dance United, working at The Academy in Bradford with young offenders and women in prison. She became Academy Director in 2008 and went on to become Artistic Director of Dance United Yorkshire in 2011, continuing to specialise in social inclusion. Helen has directed independent projects in South Africa, Namibia and Jamaica as well as teaching for organisations in Yorkshire including Yorkshire Dance, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Phoenix Dance Theatre.

In the first episode of the new series, Paul is joined by Brett Morris, Music Director and Principal Conductor of New Adventures. Brett was born in New Zealand. He initially studied conducting with Juan Mattuecci in Auckland, before travelling to London to study with Norman del Mar. He subsequently completed his studies in orchestral conducting and piano accompaniment at the Royal College of Music, in addition to undertaking a MA at Roehampton. Since 2000 he has been Musical Director and Principal Conductor of New Adventures and has conducted all of the company’s repertoire in London, on tour throughout the UK, and internationally throughout Europe, the United States and the Far East. In 2013 Brett was made an Associate Artist of New Adventures in recognition of his artistic contribution to the company.

Paul is joined by theatre maker, movement director and "professional joy maker" Kane Husbands in episode 5.
Kane has been artistic director of his company The PappyShow since 2013, a playful, physical ensemble theatre company creating distinctive and critically acclaimed productions and lead inclusive workshops rooted in kindness. We first met and welcomed Kane into the New Adventures family through our Overture programme; a professional development opportunity for emerging dance artists and dance teachers working in communities.
Tune in to hear Paul and Kane discuss access and representation in theatre and dance, and how joy can be a radical act both on stage and off stage.

In episode 4, Paul is joined by triple threat West End star Layton Williams, who also has danced for New Adventures (Lord Of The Flies 2014-15, The Car Man 2015-16).
In the episode, Layton talks about landing the role of Billy Elliot out of thousands of boys auditioning, and how it changed his life - from the vigorous dance training that prepared him for jobs beyond Billy Elliot, to getting a taste of living in London at a young age, as well as his plans and dreams for the future.

Join Paul Smethurst in episode 3 as he is joined by Arts & Culture broadcasting legend and New Adventures trustee Brenda Emmanus OBE.
Brenda talks about her dance and acting aspirations at a young age, how she ended up in journalism and carving a career in broadcasting.
