The language you use can affect the outcome.
So what are some of the words we could use differently...or not at all?
In this guest podcast episode of Amplifying Leadership, Tara and Andy Weins, a fourth-generation entrepreneur who supports Veterans, entrepreneurs, community engagement, individual empowerment, and the environment, talk about how language affects how we lead.
How changing just 1 word, such as saying Get (to) instead of How or changing If to When can change the narrative and outcomes. They talk about moving from words like Hope and Wish to Having the Courage To, why apologizing can be unproductive, to aligning to our company values.
One thing to remember though is we all do it...use words that can create a closed mindset over an open one.
