  • There is a largely unknown U.S. territory that Chinese citizens can enter legally without a visa.

China expert Cleo Paskal argues it’s an “open backdoor into the United States” that the Chinese communist regime can exploit. The area has seen problems with drug trafficking, birth tourism, controversial Chinese casinos, and allegations of corruption.

Ms. Paskal is a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and an expert on the Indo-Pacific region.

In this episode, we dive into the Chinese communist regime’s tactics in the Pacific and its strategies to subvert America.

  • In 1997, in a small town in East Texas, Bishop W.C. Martin and his wife Donna felt moved to adopt two children from the foster care system.

They went on to inspire other families in their church to do the same. In total, 22 families in the community adopted 77 children.

This moving true story is depicted in the new Angel Studios film “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot.”

In this episode, I sit down with award-winning actor Demetrius Grosse, who depicts Bishop Martin in the film, and Angel Studios CEO and co-founder, Neal Harmon.

In America today, there are more than 400,000 children in the foster care system.

One study found that about 70 percent of those who age out of the system are arrested at least once by the time they’re 26. Seven out of 10 girls who grow up in the system will become pregnant by the time they turn 21.

The film “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot,” will be released in theaters on July 4, with some early screenings on July 3.

“Within the law, rule of law, and in a robust competitive model, you want to maximize freedom ... Economic freedom, in the context of the rule of law, is the best formula for success and prosperity.”

Mark Skousen is said to be one of the top 20 most influential living economists in the world. He’s written over 25 books on personal finance and investing, including two of America’s definitive textbooks on economics.

“We have to make the right decisions to encourage, to increase our standard of living. That is the ultimate purpose of economics—to tell us how to do that,” says Mr. Skousen.

He’s also the producer of the annual libertarian FreedomFest conference. In anticipation of the event next month, we sat down to discuss some of the major myths and misconceptions about our economy today.

“Even the stock market, by the way, is at an all-time high. But in real terms, after inflation, it’s the same [as] it was in 2021,” says Mr. Skousen.

He says that since World War II, America has been in a state of permanent inflation, and that returning to the Adam Smith model of economics is the only way to get back to what he calls “enlightened capitalism.”

“I judge every economist on whether they are defending and improving upon the Adam Smith model of economic liberty, or are trying to tear it down and build their own system of socialism, Keynesianism, totalitarianism, and so forth,” says Mr. Skousen.

  • When Ronald Reagan was a presidential candidate, he was asked about his strategy for the Cold War. He had a simple answer: “We win, and they lose.”

Former President Reagan was crystal clear about the Soviet Union and its intentions, but today, few seem to understand the Chinese Communist Party’s true intentions towards America.

“We Win, They Lose” is the title of a new book by Matthew Kroenig and Dan Negrea, both working with the Atlantic Council. They outline what a Reaganesque foreign policy—updated for today—would look like.

Mr. Kroenig is vice president and senior director of the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, and Mr. Negrea is senior director of the Freedom and Prosperity Center.

“America used to be the shining city on the hill, and now it’s declining rather rapidly. I was in Europe last year talking to a number of people, and I said, ‘What do you think about America?’ And the answer I got was, ’We think you’ve lost your minds.' And that was very concerning to them, because if America goes, what happens to everybody else?”

Dr. Ben Carson is a renowned neurosurgeon, former U.S. presidential candidate, and author of, most recently, “The Perilous Fight: Overcoming Our Culture’s War on the American Family.”

“The family is where you derive your identity. And we’ve already had the example with the breakup of the black family, and you see the violence that has ensued. The murder rates in our inner cities are so high. People don’t respect other people’s lives. A lot of that has to do with the missing father, and now, that’s spread to the rest of our society as well,” says Dr. Carson.

  • “The fact that America’s foremost geopolitical adversary controls an app that about 170 million Americans use regularly means that the CCP can leverage the app to influence the political debate of Americans, and ultimately … degrade the integrity of our democracy,” says Michael Sobolik, senior fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council and the author of “Countering China’s Great Game: A Strategy for American Dominance.”

In this episode, he breaks down why TikTok is a major national security threat and how America can outmaneuver the Chinese Communist Party in the new U.S.–China Cold War.

For years, America has been playing defense, he says.

“To win cold wars, you have to go on the offensive to figure out: What is my adversary’s strategy? Where am I strong? Where are they weak? And how do I move the competition to that terrain?”

“People don’t know where to go to cultivate wisdom. I will ask my students: ‘Where do you go for information?’ They‘ll hold up their cell phones right away. ‘Where do you go for knowledge?’ And they’re ... a little bit more suspicious. They’ll say, ‘Well, the university, science …’ and then I'll say, ‘And where do you go for wisdom?’ And they don’t have an answer.”

John Vervaeke is a professor of cognitive science and Buddhist psychology at the University of Toronto. He is the creator of the internationally acclaimed lecture series “Awakening from the Meaning Crisis.”

“There’s no possibility of truth without trust,” he says.

Mr. Vervaeke’s work merges science and spirituality, and reaches into the past to understand the history of ideas. He has developed a set of practices to cultivate insight in the quest to regain meaning.

“On social media, you have connections, but you don’t have actual social relationships with people. So people pile up the number of connections they have, but they’re not actually connected,” says Mr. Vervaeke. “The deepest truths are not accessed by us. They don’t get disclosed by us unless we’re willing to go through transformation, and unless we’re willing to grow our personhood.”

  • “I would suggest that, actually, we’ve been living in the transhumanist era for 50 years or more. We’re half a century into the transhumanist age, and really, it began with the contraceptive pill.”

Mary Harrington is a self-described “reactionary feminist,” contributing editor at UnHerd, and author of “Feminism Against Progress.” We sat down together at the Dissident Dialogues Festival to discuss the intersection of progress, individual freedom, technology, and, ultimately, transhumanism.

“What that opens up is a whole theoretically infinite spectrum of engineering of ourselves—if you like—of seeing human nature itself as a set of problems to be solved,” says Ms. Harrington.

She believes that believing a “progress narrative” leads to the misguided attempt to create heaven on earth.

“It just won’t matter how often we set out trying to wage war on our own nature. It will just find a way of coming back,” she says.

  • In this episode, I sit down with Sen. Dr. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), an obstetrician and gynecologist, to get his take on gain of function research, the origins of the virus, and Dr. Anthony Fauci’s recent testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Dr. Marshall shares what he believes are the “smoking guns” that link the origins of the coronavirus to a lab leak in Wuhan, China.

“If we’re funding this type of research in a place like Wuhan, China, where we know that the CCP military is working hand in glove with all those scientists, I mean ... this whole thing is a national security issue,” says Dr. Marshall. He argues all grants moving forward must be assessed for national security risks.

  • “At the age of 10, I formed a question in my mind, which was: how can you hate me when you don’t even know me? And now, for the next 56 years, I’ve been looking for the answer to that question.”

The son of American Foreign Service members, Daryl Davis grew up in many different countries and was exposed to a variety of cultures, religions, and ideologies. He became an internationally renowned musician, touring and performing with the likes of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, and B.B. King. But a personal experience with bigotry at a young age made him curious about why people hate.

“When I met this guy, he was a Grand Dragon. And he rose through the ranks to Imperial Wizard. And when he dropped out, because of this perception change and hanging out with me, he gave me his Klan robe and his hood,” says Mr. Davis.

Today, Mr. Davis has made a second career out of befriending white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and members of the Ku Klux Klan, helping over 200 of them to renounce their racist ideology.

“People ask me: Daryl, why don’t you burn that stuff? No, I’m not going to burn it,” says Mr. Davis, referring to his Klan paraphernalia. “Yes, it is despicable. But it’s also a part of our history. And you don’t burn our history: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the shameful. You expose it, so it doesn’t happen again.”

In this episode, we dive into Mr. Davis’s childhood, his passion for music, his encounters with the Klan, and the methodology he uses for helping them to renounce their racism.

“The greatest weapon to combat racism, anti-Semitism, [and] all types of discrimination is the least expensive weapon known to man. It’s free, yet it is the most underused. It’s called conversation,” says Mr. Davis.

  • “This catastrophic response that we faced during this pandemic will happen again in our lifetimes. The new normal is lockdown until vaccine. That is how we’re going to manage pandemics until there’s an explicit repudiation of the doctrine by public health,” says Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor of health policy at Stanford University and one of the co-authors of the Great Barrington Declaration.

In this episode, Dr. Bhattacharya shares his theory on what happened these last four years and the link between seemingly disparate events.

Dr. Bhattacharya is one of the plaintiffs in a landmark free speech case against the Biden administration, Murthy v. Missouri, and the co-host of the Illusion of Consensus podcast.

“The International Health Regulations and the WHO treaty are a way to essentially institutionalize this paradigm of how to manage pandemics going forward. You can’t have a Sweden next time that bucks the agenda,” he says.

  • “In this complex machinery, there are these things called ratings agencies ... and they put a number on how trustworthy individual publications are,” says Freddie Sayers. “If they give you a zero or they put you on the naughty list, you don’t get any advertising. Your business model is pretty much turned off overnight.”

Mr. Sayers is the editor-in-chief of UnHerd, and he recently started looking into the systems of programmatic advertising after he discovered UnHerd had been given a zero rating for trustworthiness and placed on a “dynamic exclusion list” by the Global Disinformation Index.

In this episode, he breaks down what he’s uncovered about the workings of what he calls “the disinformation industry.”

“This is taxpayer dollars flowing into completely unaccountable, self-created organizations,” Mr. Sayers says.

  • “When someone asks me where are you from, I say I’m from America, because I’m from so many different places, growing up in a motorhome, but also in houses, in sheds,” says Carrie Sheffield. “There were parts of my experience as a child that I really treasure that taught me to love America. But there unfortunately was a lot of abuse as well.”

Now a columnist, broadcaster, and senior policy analyst for Independent Women’s Voice with a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University, Ms. Sheffield grew up with seven siblings and an abusive, mentally ill father who thought he was a modern-day Mormon prophet. Always on the move, Ms. Sheffield rotated between 17 public schools—as well as homeschooling—over the course of her childhood. The glue in the family was her mother.

She is the author of the new memoir, “Motorhome Prophecies: A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness.”

In this episode, drawing from her own life circumstances, she offers some profound insights into the cultural malaise she sees afflicting America—from the rise in suicide and depression to the epidemic of addiction and isolation—and a path forward.

“We put human intellect in the place of God. And so even though we are materially better off, and even though we have economic wealth, it has come at a price, and that price is the humility and the recognition of the giver of our gifts. We’ve substituted worship for the giver of our gifts, with worship of the gifts. And any society that is ordered in this way is disordered,” Ms. Sheffield says.

I noticed that my miscarriage rate from year to year had gone up by 100 percent.”

Dr. Kimberly Biss is a board-certified OBGYN who has grown her Florida private practice to a five-provider group that delivers roughly 300 babies a year. Having been involved in more than a thousand pregnancies herself, Dr. Biss observed some disturbing trends in her patients once the COVID-19 genetic vaccines rolled out in 2021.

“Now that people are getting the documents from the trials, there were bad outcomes in there. The miscarriage rate was 80 percent in the Pfizer trials. They knew that,” she says.

“This information was first reported by my colleagues Naomi Wolf and her team at Daily Clout, and extensively reviewed by Dr. James Thorpe. Of the 270 women who got pregnant, only 32 were followed up on, and 26 miscarried. 81%.”

Dr. Biss began tracking and comparing her data in real time, the bulk of which was published in 2022 on Dr. Jessica Rose’s Substack.

“A lot of medical schools—over 50 to 60 percent of their money probably comes from Big Pharma,” says Dr. Biss.

We dive into the data Dr. Biss compiled, and discuss how pressure campaigns from federal health agencies and Big Pharma influenced the vaccine roll-out in pregnant and breastfeeding women.

“In the beginning, they locked us down, we’re all eating Uber Eats, all processed junk, can’t go to the gym, can’t exercise, don’t go outside, don’t get in the sun, which is your vitamin D. So, we were all deficient in D. I mean, everything that doesn’t promote any sort of health they told us to do,” says Dr. Biss.

“They have young teenage patients showing up at the hospital with vaginal atrophy, uterine atrophy, bleeding pain,” says Canadian journalist Mia Hughes, the author of a 70-page report that scrutinizes a series of leaked internal files from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).

“This is brand new territory. We’ve never done this to teenage girls before. They’re just making it up as they go along. They’re layering other drugs on top of the testosterone to try to cope with the very side effects that the testosterone has caused, never at any point questioning: is it a good idea to give these girls testosterone?” Ms. Hughes says.

In this episode, she breaks down what was revealed in these leaked files.

“Health care is supposed to improve health, not destroy it,” Ms. Hughes says.

“I think we now have to make sure that we understand what an adversary China is, and make sure that we’re not playing into our own demise,” says Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.

She has taken a strong stance on the communist China threat, and she has also been going against the grain in Canada with her policies on energy, COVID mandates, the drug crisis, and “gender-affirming care.”

In this episode, I had a chance to do a deep dive with her about her thinking around these policies.

“I want Alberta to just be this bastion of freedom and liberty,” Ms. Smith says. “I want to make sure we preserve it.”

“They actually believe that all children are intrinsically queer, and that what’s happening is that normal society is ’socializing‘ them, which is a fancy word for ’brainwashing' them, to be normal, which means—for them—not queer, where queer is a political stance.”

In this episode, I sit down with James Lindsay and Logan Lansing to discuss their new book, “The Queering of the American Child: How a New School Religious Cult Poisons the Minds and Bodies of Normal Kids.”

“It took me less than one minute to find a whole suite of furry literature about children adopting ‘fursonas,’ or furry personas, and identifying not as human, explicitly underwritten by queer theory in the doctrine,” says Mr. Lancing.

What is queer theory? Who are its biggest proponents? And what practical impact has it had on America’s youth, our institutions, and society at large?

“What they define for a pedagogy right from the beginning in 1993, was a radical form of educative activism, implemented deliberately to interfere with, to intervene in the production of normalcy in school subjects, which is just technical gobbledygook from queer theory. That means we are going to use critical pedagogy as a method and we’re going to make sure kids do not turn out normal,” says Mr. Lancing. “They’re going to turn out deviant, abnormal, perverse—whatever it is that is positioned against the norm, that is the goal. And they laid that out. Right at the very beginning. They also added that their goal was to make it explicitly activist in nature, so there is no room for interpretation.”

“There are no brakes on the train. Yesterday’s radical is today’s conservative. It has to keep moving towards the direction of completely dissolving normalcy, boundaries, and legitimacy. So, don’t be surprised if it gets a bit crazier than even children biting other children while they’re dressed as dogs and cats and wearing tails,” says Mr. Lancing.

“And it was meant to bring about what Paulo Freire’s vision was: a next generation, non-Soviet, Marxist revolution in the children, based off of an education system he derived from Mao Zedong, in his own words. What Mao had done in the 1950s successfully with children, he imported into his method,” says Mr. Lindsay. “But, of course, we know that Mao used that in the mid-1960s as the basis to create his Red Guard that then went and did exactly what we see schoolchildren in America doing today. Can they read? Not really. Can they write? Not so much. How are they at math? Failing. However, they know to show up on the statehouse steps when there’s some policy they don’t like or when something happens, so that they can do a die-in or they can do some kind of show of activism.”
