On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about the inevitable.
Alex and Brandon are back and better than ever and could not be more excited for this episode. Before they get to their main topic of conversation, the boys talk a little bit about what's been going on in their lives and give some spoiler-free thoughts on the first two episodes of the final season of Game of Thrones. Then they break down their thoughts, feelings, hopes, fears, and dreams about the most important cinematic achievement in history - Avengers: Endgame and the MCU (spoilers from 35:50-2:00:50). After completely unburdening themselves of all emotion and coming to terms with the end of the MCU as we know it, they move on to the smallest Fan Fic Fight ever featured on the show. Last but not least, they make some important announcements regarding the future of the podcast, so stay tuned to the end to find out what's coming next!

On this week's not-episode, Alex and Robyn continue chatting about life.
Hey folks. I had given up on recording these Hot Take-filled episodes because the rate at which I watch shows and movies was much faster than I was able to record and upload these ramblings. But I recently watched a weird string of tangentially related cartoons that seemed mildly interesting enough to bust out the mic and put my thoughts out there. Then Robyn and a little surprise guest hop in for a Fan Fic Fight about rad dads.

On this week’s episode, Alex and Brandon’s chat costs them everything.
Only 7 months after it was recorded, Episode 68 is finally here! After catching up on life and talking about some important news, the boys skip the ABC’s of Geekdom segment and get straight into the corrections, including Zapdos’s Ability, Brandon’s Pokémon GO Team, Pokémon movies, Articuno, The Crying of Lot 49, The Boondocks, Greek mythology, Isaiah Amir Mustafa, Hannibal, Bright, Sonequa Martin, Rocko’s Modern Life, Hellboy, Bumblebee, Peter Fonda, Home Alone, Tony Toons, Scooby Doo, A Goofy Movie, Killer Instinct, The Mist, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Deadman Wonderland, Whiplash, The Punisher and Punisher: War Zone, Marvel’s Netflix shows, The Big Sick, Fences, the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy, Luke Evans, and Doctor Fate. Then they run down their pop culture wishlist from 2017 to see if anyone’s wishes came true.
After the break, they give their thoughts on a very controversial news item that had lots of people up in arms. Then they break down a handful of trailers, Nintendo's E3 presentation and deliver some piping Hot Takes on a whole bunch of movies and shows, including the very divisive blockbuster Solo: a Star Wars Story (spoilers from 2:44:51-2:51:50). With all of that taken care of, the boys get into this week’s feature topic and geek out about Avengers: Infinity War (spoilers from 2:55:26-3:41:15). After a very long, very in depth conversation about Marvel’s greatest cinematic achievement, they close out the show with an all-new Fan Fic Fights between two stone-cold witches.

On this week's not-episode, Alex and Robyn chat about even more life.
Hey folks. Again. Sadly, I still havn't been able to record another real episode of the podcast since last June. And as you'll hear right at the beginning of this quick(ish) update, this was recorded in January, but I'm just now getting to editing and uploading it, which is a testament to how busy my life has been. But, I still consue lots of media and still have lots of thoughts about it, and on the off chance somebody might find those thoughts interesting, I thought I would share them. So settle in for an hour of me talking to myself with more Hot Takes than I care to list out. Then at the end of the show, my lovely wife Robyn joins me for a Fan Fic Fight that manages to turn up the heat.

On this week's not-episode, Alex and Robyn chat about life and Life.
Hey folks. Long time, no record. As promised, here is a long overdue, (relatively) quick talk about Alex's plans for the podcast, his life in New York, and a ton of Hot Takes. Too many Hot Takes to list here. Last but not least, Alex couldn't put up an episode without a Fan Fic Fight, this time pitting two mothers against each other.

On this week's episode, Alex and Armando chat about going on holiday.
Brandon is back in the throes of back to school craziness, so Alex managed to rope on a couple of suckers to take his place, namely Vincent and Armando. After some banter about work, apartments, and Pokémon GO, they finish off their second cycle of the ABC's of Geekdom by taking about a big yellow bird that doesn't live on Sesame Street. Then they move on the corrections segment, including the DC/Looney Tunes crossover comics, Loonatics Unleashed, Digimon, the six degrees of Kevin Bacon to Ron Howard, the definition of anime, Parks and Rec, Al's Toy Barn, James Bond 25, Holes, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, SDCC exclusive Pop! vinyls, and commercials.
After the break with an extra special musical choice, they cover some trailers, including The Darkest Hour, Bright, The Tick, Star Trek Discovery, The Gifted, Krypton, and the new Rocko's Modern Life TV movie. Then they cover a little bit of news, including the casting of Raven in the new live action Teen Titans show, the passing of Robert Hardy, the announcement of Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters coming to Netflix, Millarworld being purchased by Netflix, an update on the Shazam movie, Ian McShane cast in the Hellboy reboot, and John Cena cast in the upcoming Bumblebee spinoff movie. After that, they move on to this week's Hot Takes, including War for the Planet of the Apes and Thomas and the Magic Railroad (and no Game of Thrones. Sorry!). With all of that covered, they move on to this week's feature topic, and since summer is rapidly coming to an end, they decide to take about the best vacations in movies and tv shows and why real life vacations pale in comparison. Then they wrap things up with an all new Fan Fic Fights that is positively shocking.
Last but not least, Alex makes an announcement about the future of the podcast; long story short, he and Brandon will be taking a bit of a hiatus while Alex moves up north and gets settled in to law school. Make sure to subscribe and follow the guys on social media to find out when the next episode will be!

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about the wrath of Cons.
Alex is back from his honeymoon with plenty of stories and new enthusiasm for the podcast. After reading tales about what's been going on and Alex's thoughts on the podcast without him, Brandon chooses this week's subject subject for the ABC's of Geekdom segment, this time focusing on a rootin' tootin' sharpshootin' cowboy. After that, they cover a ton of corrections across three different episodes, including Groundskeeper Willie's doctorate, Hades' Japanese voice actor, the demonym for New Zealand, six degrees of separation, Vince Vaughn, underwater sonic booms, Jim Sturgess, La La Land, best indie movies, Attack on Titan, Dexter's Lab, Madam Web, Aurelio, Albert Wesker, Alex's most seen movie, Locklyn Munro, Wet Hot American Summer, Rent, the Red Wedding, Gilmore Girls, Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob, Lilo and Stitch, Kim Possible, the Walking Dead and the Pokémon GO Fest.
After the break, the boys discuss a bunch of trailers, mostly from SDCC and D23 Expo, including Ready Player One, Bladerunner 2049, Kingsman: the Golden Circle, Pacific Rim: Uprising, It, Wrinkle in Time, Inhumans, the Starfire DLC for Injustice 2, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, and Kingdom Hearts III. Then they talk about news, including the casting announcements for New Warriors, a trilogy reboot of the Terminator franchise, Daniel Craig returning for the 25th James Bond movie, details about the Captain Marvel movie, casting announcements for Ant-Man and the Wasp, Tom Welling cast in season 3 of Lucifer, the title of the new Flash movie, the passing of John Heard, George Romero, and June Foray, a new character in the DuckTales reboot, details about a planned Doctor Doom movie, more details on the Shazam movie, the announcement of the next Doctor on Doctor Who, Lucy Liu directing the season premiere of Luke Cage, Erica Durance joining the cast of Supergirl, and a breakdown of all the SDCC Pop!s this year. With all of that covered, they're still not done as they truck on with their feature topic, this week talking about what makes commercials good and bad, and reminiscing about some of their favorite commercials. After that, they go over some Hot Takes, including A Cure for Wellness, Good Burger, Seinfeld, Glow, and the episode Stormborn on Game of Thrones. Finally, they end the show with an all-new Fan Fic Fights, this time pitting two shield-wielding warriors against each other.

On this week's episode, Brandon chats without Alex.
While Alex was sailing the high seas with his new bride, Brandon took it upon himself to record an episode of the podcast with a couple of friends. Alex hasn't listened to the show yet and he writes the descriptions for the show, so there's nothing else to say, unless he decides to update it after listening (but don't count on it), Enjoy.

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about mawwiage.
Alex was busy getting ready for his upcoming nuptials last weekend, so he got a crew together to record a special episode so as not to leave you without something to listen to. In addition to old regulars Catherine and Robyn, the boys are joined by Alex's little brother, John Paul. For the first half of the show, they have a fun discussion about the best weddings in tv and movies. After the break, John Paul leaves and the other three play round four of Back of the Box Trivia: Movie Edition. Will Brandon take back the title, will newcomer Catherine steal the victory, or will Robyn blow everyone away with a surprise win? The only way to find out is to listen! Last but not least, they end the show with an awesome new Fan Fic Fight between four elite computer experts.

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about the most meta 3DS game of all time.
Your exhausted podcast duo have dragged themselves out of bed to bring you some quality entertainment for your earholes. After an extra lengthy talk about what they've been up to, Brandon makes his choice for the ABC's of Geekdom segment and decides on a very angry Scotsman. After that, Alex lists off some corrections, including Fruitopia, his sister's other appearance on the show, Minnesota, Greedo, video game world records, Kingdom Hearts III, Lythos, Star Wars Battlefront, video game trade shows, Rayman, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Nocturnal Animals, Julian Dennison, Jesse Kane, Joan Rivers, 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, Jackie Chan, Jumanji, Inhumans, Ronan the Accuser, American Dragon Jake Long, the Saw franchise, Carnage and Antivenom, Fantastic Four, Rodan, Sense8, 30 Rock, Aquaman, the speed of sound, and underwater sonic booms.
After the break, the boys cover a few trailers, including Game of Thrones season 7, Geostorm, A Ghost Story, a Godzilla anime, and Hidden my Game by Mom. Then they cover bit of news, including season 3 of Attack on Titan coming next year, the passing of Joan Lee, Nick Fury returning in Captain Marvel, and the announcement of an animated Assassin's Creed show coming to Netflix. Brandon also has one quick Hot Take on some scenes from Transformers: the Last Knight. After all that, the boys have a lengthy discussion about John Wick: Chapter 2 (spoilers from around 1:48:00-2:15:26). Spoilers: this movie is rad. Last but not least, Alex and Brandon square off in a new Fan Fic Fight between 2 dudes who wear their sunglasses at night.

On this week's episode, Alex and Catherine chat about test tube babies.
Brandon took a rare vacation this week, so Alex was forced to find a replacement in his stead. Fortunately, his sister, Catherine, was in town and picked up the slack. After discussing the weather, moving, and birthdays, Catherine chooses this week's subject for the ABC's of Geekdom segment, and chooses a prisoner you don't want to mess with. After that, they move on to the corrections segment, including Legion of Collectors, Game of Thrones, Lou Ferrigno, Sub Zero, Christopher Sabat, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Cuphead, Kingdom Hearts III, Clonetroopers, Detroit: Become Human, Kirby, Metroid, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and the Nemesis. Then, since it's still early in the show, they cover a bit of news, including some Dark Phoenix movie announcements, Julian Dennison cast in Deadpool 2, Michael Beach cast in Aquaman, a title and release date for the Jurassic World sequel, and Ron Howard replacing Chris Miller and Phil Lord as the director of the Han Solo movie.
After the break, they give their thoughts on some trailers, including Atomic Blonde, The Foreigner, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Pitch Perfect 3, A Bad Moms Christmas, Death Note, Inhumans, Forces of Destiny, Netflix interactive shows, and the LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game. Then they hop back to the news, including a reboot of the Saw franchise, Carnage confirmed for the Venom movie, a new Watchmen series coming to HBO, a reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise, enemies confirmed for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, future release dates for Fox Marvel movies, the passing of Michael Nyqvist, and Jake Busey's role in The Predator. After that, they give some Hot Takes, including You Get Me, Schindler's List, Sense8, Flaked, the Arrowverse crossover, Orange is the New Black, Moana, 30 Rock, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Then, because Catherine is a baby, they skip a feature topic this week and go straight into the Fan Fic Fight, this time waging war between two masters of the sea.
Last but not least, this is your final reminder to watch John Wick: Chapter 2 and tell us what you thought before we discuss it next week. Get those emails in!

Despite the nasty Texas weather, your resourceful podcast duo has gotten back together to bring you some more pop culture goodness. After a particularly somber recap of the past week, Alex picks things up with the long-awaited return of the unboxing segment, this time opening the Star Wars: A New Hope box from Smuggler's Bounty. Then they wrap things up with an all-new Fan Fic Fights between two undead brutes.

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat in the fires of Mount Doom.
Your intrepid podcast duo has returned once more, but are joined by a Fellowship of two lovely ladies; Kenzie makes her glorious return to offer some in-depth knowledge on J. R. R. Tolkien, and Robyn tags along just because. After a brief recap of their relatively quiet weeks, Alex makes his pick for the ABC's of Geekdom segment, this week deciding on one very hyperactive stuffed animal. After a short but sweet discussion on that, they move right into the corrections segment, including Caity Lotz, the Forbes Fictional 15 list, firedrakes, Trogdor the Burninator, the Berenstain Bears, Andrew Clements, James Wolk, Facepunch Studios, Sprint vs. Verizon, Jennifer Connelly, Ghost in the Shell, Chris Evans, Gilmore Girls, Injustice 2, Ronald McDonald, the Simpsons, the Nibblonains, Falling Skies, and Star Wars. Then, since it's such a light news week, they jump straight into reporting on the Bumblebee spinoff movie being set in the 80's, character appearance confirmations for Justice League and Infinity War, and plans for a new Spider-Man trilogy.
After the break, the gang breaks down a few trailers, including Rough Night, Flatliners, and Olaf's Frozen Adventure. With all of that out of the way, they have an in-depth discussion of The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring (spoilers from around 1:19:24-2:17:28). Brandon and Kenzie have been waiting for this day for a long time, so humor them and listen to them nerd out for a bit. Then, out of order, they give a few hot takes, including Spartacus, House of Cards, Million Dollar Baby, London has Fallen, Thor: the Dark World, Orange is the New Black, and Wonder Woman. Finally, they finish the show with an all-new Fan Fic Fights, this time engaging in a magical duel of epic proportions.

The weather is heating up for summer, and so is Alex and Brandon's podcast game, which was already straight fire. They take things to the next level by bringing on another surprise guest this week, the often-referenced Armando. Then they discuss a few Hot Takes, including The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Irreversible, The Heartbreak Kid, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, CinemaSins, Buzzfeed Unsolved, Wonder Woman, and Glee. With all of that covered, the boys look towards the future to contemplate the summer convention season and some of their favorite things about cons. Then they finish the show string with an all-new episode of Fan Fic Fights, this time in a three-way battle of four-armed foes.
Last but not least, Brandon announced his choice for the next community discussion movie and landed on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. We'll be discussing that in extremely lengthy detail in just 2 weeks, so make sure you watch it and let us know what you thought!

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat out of chronological order.
Your favorite podcasting duo were forced to take a break because of an exceptionally hectic week, but they're back and have brought Robyn along with them for her expert opinions on all things nerdy. They start things off with a live unboxing of the latest DC Legion of Collectors box from Funko, themed after the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. Then Brandon chooses this week's subject for the ABC's of Geekdom segment and goes with a guy who thinks he's some kind of Jedi. Then they launch into some corrections, including Dragon Ball Z, tesseract, the human brain, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Spongebob Squarepants, Young Justice, Magik, Contra, Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo, James Bond, and Slurms Mackenzie.
After the break and picking up yet another special guest, they come back to talk about some trailers, including Valerian and the City of 1,000 Planets, The Mummy, War for the Planet of Apes, Cars 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Batman and Harley Quinn, Game of Thrones season 7, and Black Lightning. Then they discuss some news, including a musical based on King of Kong, a musical based on King Kong, the announcement of Top Gun 2, Doug Liman no longer directing Justice League Dark, Tom Holland cast as Young Nathan Drake for the upcoming Uncharted movie, a reboot of the Resident Evil movie franchise, Arrested Development season 5, the passing of Powers Boothe and Sir Roger Moore, Joss Whedon to direct the rest of the Justice League movie, and Tom Hardy playing Venom in Sony's Spider-Man universe. Then they go around the table and talk about some Hot Takes, including Love and Other Drugs, Split, Pokemon Sun and Moon, the Arms Global Test Punch, Alien Covenant, The Great British Bake Off, and Master of None. With all of that out of the way, the group has a lengthy discussion about the film Memento (spoilers from around (1:46:06-2:11:12), which is hopefully slightly less confusing than the movie itself. Last but not least, they square off in an all-new Fan Fic Fights, this time arguing over who is the most proficient pedagogue.

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about Earth's Mightiest Heroines.
Despite finals and moving plans, Alex and Brandon are back to bring you some mildly entertaining and possibly witty banter. Alex kicks things off with his choice for the ABC's of Geekdom segment, this week focusing on a grumpy green alien. Then they go over some corrections, including A Wrinkle in Time, Math Blasters, astronomy, Super Friends, anatomy, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Alien vs. Predator, our friend Jasmine, Christopher Nolan, Defenders, Grand Theft Auto, Better Call Saul, King of Kong, Beast Boy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Wookiees.
After the break, they break down a couple of trailers, including Wonder Woman, Blade Runner 2049, It, and the upcoming Candy Crush game show. Then they discuss some news, including the cancellation of Powerless, casting for the New Mutants movie, future Alien sequels, a live-action Contra movie, a Psych movie, a Hellboy reboot, and Once Upon a Time cast members leaving the show. With all of that covered, the boys play a fun little game with a gender swapped recasting of the Avengers. Then they close out the show with an all new Fan Fic Fights between a couple of ordinary demiguys.
Also, don't forget that next week we'll be talking about the movie Memento, so make sure to watch it so that it doesn't get spoiled for you, and send in an email to let us know what you thought!

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about who is Groot.
Alex and Brandon actually managed to record two episodes two weeks in a row, somehow. After a bad nickname and a rocky start, things pick up when Brandon chooses this week's subject for the ABC's of Geekdom segment, this week focusing on ye olde educational computer game. Next, they cover some corrections, including Syracuse, Garrus, Funko, Naboo, the Force Unleashed, West World, Wonder Twins, Iron Fist, Jurassic Park, Prometheus, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Alien vs. Predator, and the difference between watching and listening.
Upon returning from the break, the boys discuss some trailers from the past week, including Dunkirk, The Dark Tower, Defenders, and Injustice 2 DLC character reveals. Then they cover some news, including the cancellation of Alien 5 and the new inductees to the National Video Game Hall of Fame. After that, Alex and Brandon both give some hot takes about what they've been watching, including Archer, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Lucifer, Legion, X-Men: Apocalypse, King of Kong: a Fistful of Quarters, Justice League Dark, How to be a Latin Lover, and a full-on review of Teen Titans: the Judas Contract (spoilers from around 1:50:36-1:58:43). Then comes the main event; Alex and Brandon give their thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (spoilers from around 1:58:43-2:57:45). The first one was good, but did they like the sequel better? The only way to find out is to listen! Then, as is custom, they wrap up the show with a 2 v. 2 round of Fan Fic Fights between two pairs of loveable space criminals.
Last but not least, Alex announces his choice for the next community movie discussion and decided on Memento. This movie is trippy, so strap in for a crazy ride and then let us know what you thought before we talk about it in two weeks.

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about Xenomorphs vs. Yautja.
After a long and unexpected break, Alex and Brandon have found time to get back to doing what they do best; talk for a long time about meaningless stuff. The start by recapping their lives over the past few weeks, then move on to unboxing the most recent Marvel and Star Wars boxes from Funko. Then Alex chooses the subject for the ABC's of Geekdom segment, and the boys take a deep dove into the history of a planet in a galaxy far away. After that, they cover corrections from the previous show, including the Zelda escape room game, Mycroft Holmes in the 22nd century, Finn the Human's last name, Harry Potter release dates (again), Ermac's origin, Land Before Time, Call of Duty, tv show spin offs of movies, Russell Crowe, Cara Delevigne, the Wonder Twins, Iron Fist, Perfect Blue, and Johnny Cage. But they don't stop there as they dive right into news, including release dates for the Avatar sequels, characters for the upcoming New Warriors show, a new King Kong tv show, James Gunn writing and directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Carrie Fisher not appearing in Episode IX, Josh Brolin cast as Cable, the passing of Charlie Murphy, Jude Law cast as young Dumbledore for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel, a release date for a new He-Man movie, Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic World 2, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen and Timon and Pumba in the live action Lion King remake, a slew of Disney movie release dates, and an update on Young Justice season 3.
After the break, they go over some trailers, including the Last Jedi, Thor: Ragnarok, a new prologue movie for Alien Covenant, Atomic Blonde, Kingsman: the Golden Circle, Cloak and Dagger, the Mist, Injustice 2, and Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. Then Alex runs down some hot takes, including Rick and Morty, Skylanders Academy, Death Note, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Preacher, Hell or High Water, and Mulholland Drive. Then, finally, Alex and Brandon have their long-awaited discussion about the controversial movie Alien vs. Predator (spoilers from around 2:30:54-2:55:44). You know they love it, but the only way to find out how much they love it is to listen to their nerd-fueled dissection of it. Last but not least, they close things out with an all-new Fan Fic Fights between masters of teleportation.

On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about an abundance of trailers.
Alex and Brandon took an unexpected break last week, but have come back with a renewed vigor for entertainment. After talking about being sick, going on retreat, and Alex's adventure at the Zelda Escape Room, Brandon makes his choice for this week's ABC's of Geekdom segment, this time settling on the mysterious brother of a well-known detective. Then Alex lays out some corrections, including the Deadpool 2 teaser, Adventure Time, the Imperial Crest, Harry Potter, Twilight, Divergent, Mortal Kombat, Doctor Dolittle, My Neighbor Totoro, The Land Before Time, and another honorable mention for favorite non-Disney animated movies. Then they launch straight into covering some news, including the passing of Don Rickles, Carrie Fisher potentially appearing in Star Wars Episode IX, plans for a Call of Duty cinematic universe, a potential 14 more Transformers movies coming in the future, the cast of the Power Rangers calling for a female Green Ranger in the sequel, a New Warriors show featuring Squirrel Girl coming to Freeform, a Purge tv show coming to SyFy and USA, Russell Crowe potentially playing Cable in Deadpool 2, Joss Whedon directing the solo Batgirl movie, the title and release date announcement for the Wreck-It Ralph sequel, and O'Shea Jackson, Jr. cast in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
After the break, the boys break down a bunch of trailers, including I Am Heath Ledger, Your Name, Ferdinand, Spark, The Mummy, War for the Planet of the Apes, It, Valerian and the City of 1,000 Planets, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Justice League, The Defenders, and Injustice 2. With all of the covered, Alex continues with the new Hot Takes segment with some rapid fire thoughts on Veep, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Perfect Blue, and Akira. Then, because they're pressed for time, they jump right to the email segment and finish things up with an all new Fan Fic Fights that take the term Cage fight to a new level.
This is your final reminder that we will be talking about Alien vs. Predator on our next episode. Make sure to watch it and send in your thoughts before then so you can take part in our uber nerdy discussion.
