施月霞女士一世人坎坎坷坷。頭一个翁是才情滿滿的中學教師，煞予人掠去處刑。伊去酒家唱歌，飼兩个囡仔，熟似第二个翁，是佇大學教冊的228受難者。這集用施月霞的故事來𤆬逐家看政治迫害按怎影響一个家庭、幾若代人。

Ms. Shih Goa̍t-hâ led a life filled withhardship and adversity. Her first husband was a highly talented secondaryschool teacher who was arrested and executed. To support her two children, sheworked as a singer in a hostess club, where she met her second husband—a universityprofessor and a 228 survivor. This episode uses Shih Yueh-hsia’s story to showhow political persecution impacts a family across several generations.

林阿琴老師，較濟人知影伊是郭雪湖的牽手，較少人知影伊是一个誠有才情的畫家。伊17歲頭一擺參加台展就入選，相連紲三冬攏有。後來結婚，晟養6个囡仔，歇睏15冬。這幅圖就是伊後來畫的兩的囡仔。這集節目佮逐家分享這幅圖佮林阿琴老師按怎照顧家庭koh繼續創作，嘛會講鹿港頂番婆庄攑鼓仔燈的傳統。

Lin A-khîm is widely known as the wife of Guo Xuehu, but few realize she was a highly talented painter herself. She was selected for the Taiwan Art Exhibition for three consecutive years starting at age 17. After getting married and raising six children, she took a 15-year break from her art. This painting depicts her two children after she resumed her work. This episode shares the story of this painting, how Lin A-khîm balanced family life with her creativity, and the lantern-carrying tradition of Téng-hoan-pô Village in Lukang.

Thai cuisine in Taiwan has its own unique history. It began with dishes brought over by immigrants from Yunnan and Burma; even the name " Wa-cheng/Mandalay " has its own origin story! Later, with the arrival of Burmese Overseas Chinese and new Thai residents bringing culinary cultures from various regions, these influences merged to evolve into what we now know as Taiwanese-style Thai cuisine. This book tells the story of Teacher Lah-jit’s family—his ancestors, parents, and elder siblings—as well as his own life growing up. It records the history, geography, and folk songs of Kham-teng Village in Tianzhong, Changhua. If you want to know more about how people used to live and work, or if you want to learn some rare Taiwanese words, I highly recommend this collection of essays.
