You're about to watch or listen to me coaching Scott and Kate. Kate has an extraordinary track record of success behind her. She is known by and trusted by several world leaders. And she is in her head about how she can get them as coaching clients, so I snap her out of it. And I tell her 2 things:
One, your need to have fear and doubt is a sign you are working with the caliber of people you need to work with. And two, it's a sign that you're in your head.
Scott has a background in the corporate world and a track record of success. I have to snap him out of one thing in particular, referring to himself as a new coach, and I slow him down to the power of a single conversation which will change everything for him.
I'll see both of them at the intensive that's coming up. And if you're interested, come and join us, too, because it's where we get to do the energetic work around creating clients that you can't always capture in the nuance of a recording or a piece of writing. I'll see you soon.
Enjoy!

In this episode, I coach two clients on how to achieve their goals. Mary Grant is a successful fashion entrepreneur looking to transition into coaching. The other client, David Watson, is a successful consultant who wants to grow and make a bigger impact.
The one thing we have in common is that we all want to find our ideal clients. I believe the key to do that is to understand their psychographics, not just demographics.
Psychographics are the client's values, beliefs, and motivations. So the conversation develops around this concept.

Today I'm coaching Dave and Michelle. Both of them are coming to the live, in person Intensive in Santa Fe, and they're already signed up for the virtual intensive, too. They didn't know each other, and I didn't know Dave. Michelle I've worked with in the past. She's been at previous intensives.
And today, it turns out (we didn't know this) that the very tool that would support Michelle the most is also a powerful tool for Dave. It's a really powerful tool for long-term client creation called Research Project, and you'll hear 2 different ways it can be applied in this particular conversation.
I had fun, and it was powerful in its simplicity. Within about 17 min we were complete.
Enjoy!

This time around, I did something different with the podcast.
I brought 2 people to talk with: Linley who had worked with me in the past, and Sarah who's never worked with me. They don't know each other and the 3 of us never spent time together, but I thought this would be fun.
One of the reasons I'm doing this is that both of them are signed up to come to the next Intensive in a few weeks.
I love doing this kind of stuff. I love working with coaches on how to build their business.
So naturally, we played around one simple question: how can I help you create your next client?
Enjoy!

Today's episode features the Master Coaching with Ajit podcast. On this episode Ajit Nawalkha and I have a conversation about entrepreneurship, coaching skills, and building a successful coaching business. In order to thrive in the coaching industry, you must put in effort for a long period of time before feeling like it is working. Wishing for instant recognition without putting in work first is not how things are done, but the ones who persist are the ones who become masters.
Enjoy.

Anu is a consultant to high-level organizations and their leadership teams. She's an incredible woman who has literally been a leader since the age of 6. But right now she is holding back from telling these leaders what they REALLY need to hear.
So, I have to step into leadership myself.
I need to model for her the power of saying, "Here's what I require of you..." By the end of the conversation we are both fully energized.Sometimes being on mission is scary. But you've got this. Not everyone needs to like you. But you need to speak truth to power. That's how we change the world.
In today's episode you'll also learn about Transition Excellence—a past program for high-level leaders who want to be high-level coaches and consultants.
