Low self-esteem isn't a mental health problem in itself, but they are closely linked. When many things start affecting your self-esteem for a long time, this might lead o mental health problems. Confidence is a strength because it means you accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control in your life. You know your strengths and weakness well and have a positive view of yourself.
