  • Everyone is talking about sex...except for Christians. And if they do, it's some version of "sex is for marriage", sex creates "soul ties" or... the progressive church who talks about sex for married people, pretty much has some underlying version of "sex is for your husband." ...Which is not only problematic, but doesn't help you actually wait or know what to do when you are married. So it's time to flip the script. Because who created sex? God. And it's time we take it back for the kingdom.

  • This is my contribution to gender equality in sport.

My research into the conditions for women working in the Australian sporting sector began in 2017 out of curiosity to go beyond my experiences and observations and understand the reality of women working there. With my corporate executive and sporting director background and experience as a gender diversity expert, I thought I would not be surprised by the data. On the contrary, I was staggered—the statistics relating to gender inequality in the Australian sporting sector were much worse than anticipated. Compared with other industries, sport and recreation scores higher than average in gender inequality.

I was astounded by the gaps in sheer numbers and lack of parity, especially in pay. And so, I decided to go beyond the existing data and conduct my research. My research shed light on the endemic issues, barriers and systematic discrimination faced by women in the sporting sector.

This research has morphed into a podcast, with each season featuring interviews with people changing the game for women in sport, on and off the playing field.

Find out more about my research HERE, including how to download my easy-to-read reports on the status quo and what to do about it.

  • Can everyone really lead? What does that look like?

We’re coming from the Kansas Leadership Center, an organization that is publishing a book called When Everyone Leads.

Leadership is something you do. Not something you are. Leadership is about putting the challenge at the center and working with other people, not just taking charge.

We’ve been sent on a quest. This book inspires us, but how do people actually put it into practice? How does this apply to civic issues? What is clear? What is messy and complicated?
