In this episode, we discussed why highlighting women in STEM through fiction is important with author Melanie Ho. She is a multi-media creator and organizational consultant who has been described by Film Daily as “one of the most empowering authors and visual artists right now.” As a visual artist, Melanie has also drawn dozens of comics based on scenes in her book. Her latest book is called "Beyond Leaning In Gender Equity and What Organizations are Up Against". We also discussed male allyship and how to bounce back from rejections in one's career.

In this episode we discussed tech entrepreneurship, with my guest host speaker Saleema sharing her journey to becoming a tech entrepreneur including the many different skill sets she's developed as a lawyer and inventor. She also talks about what the experience of being a woman in STEM is like and offers some of her best tips to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Saleema Khimji is the Chief Innovation Officer for MCI Onehealth Technologies Inc. With a background in partnerships in the public and private sectors, as well as her legal background and IP expertise, Saleema has worked globally to promote innovation, including as a co-founder of an AI-based sensor technology for pharma and medical applications through the University of Oxford. Outside of work, Saleema is passionate about mentoring young women in STEM, and empowering them to excel in their careers.
