WOMAN KEEPS AN EYE ON CHUMMY IN CAR SLEEPING WHILST REED VISITS A BANK. Reed does a bank requisition and realises how short they are on that month. No one will extend their credit. Seeing the training manual, he decides to rob a bank the next day, carrying a motorcycle crash helmet, a disguise and his 45mm. At work Reed writes a note to hand the teller. Stay Calm, we are not joking… Leaves during his lunch break to another bank and changes clothes in his car. Cashier complies after reading note. Security guard. Reed gets to his car as three police cars come. James can’t process what has happened. Reed feels some reprieve for a month by using some of the cash. Bank employees anonymity. Patrice thinks something is up. DYE PACK EXPLODES ON ANOTHER ROBBERY AND HE GETS CAYENNE PEPPER IN HIS EYE. Police patrol cars drive past him. Reed pulls in to hardware store and picks up some dye removal. He analyses the dye pack mechanism. Concocts story about paying with pink bank notes. FBI now on the case.

REED IS CHASED AFTER A ROBBERY. Patrice is very ill recovering from all the medication. Fibromyalgia. The financial pressure gets to Reed and he comes close to taking his own life. Patrice feels something is up. Toby comes and takes guns away. Reed takes an accelerated computer programmer course and quickly gets a job at a local bank. James can’t believe what he hears in the news about the motorcycle bandit. Reed promoted to full programmer. Unpaid bills. Bank training session on what to do in the case of a robbery. Comply comply comply. James realises Reed couldn’t talk about the robberies. TWO PATROL CARS TAIL REED AS HE READIES HIMSELF TO GET OUT OF HIS CAR WITH HIS GUN AND SHOOT IT OUT.

Med costs spiralling so Reed sells motorbikes and Patrice’s jewellery. He decides to try growing and selling marijuana in the loft. He sets up a hydroponic grow room above the car garage. Debts rising and Rashid lends $20,000 with clear caveat of repayment when he sells apartment. They see a new LA specialist. Reed learns to be a day trader and shows potential whilst learning. Sells apartment to use for the trades. Reed’s over confidence causes a big Memorial Day loss and he has to liquidate and loses it all. Reed tells Rashid that he sold apartment and didn’t repay loan. CREDIT LIMIT REACHED. Meet Patrice’s father Sergeant Carl Lorenzo, high ranking martial arts instructor and police officer. Patrice tells Reed she loves him. They go from strength to strength even though they are so different. They go motorcycling together. Reed is devastated that his parents divorce. Reed and Patrice move into Patrice’s previous marital home and discuss their future. Reed crashes Patrice’s pink racing bike on the track and breaks his leg. Reed surprises Patrice by proposing at the gym, after asking Sergeant Carl for his blessing. A Las Vegas wedding. Rashid puts the company up for sale. Patrice and Reed start Gourmet Express. Patrice sells to local restaurants. Reed crashes during a delivery. The business grows exponentially into corporate and they move into the yellow house. But sell the database to a much larger firm. PRAYING FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION TO HELP HIM ESCAPE THE POLICE. KEEP THE PROMISE.

DYE PACK EYE. DON’T EVER DO THAT AGAIN. Dinner with Patrice and a first kiss. More on Patrice’s background and how she started working at the gym and meeting Reed. Patrice explains how different they were but they had lots of fun. Reed gets US residency and starts studying at night achieving straight A’s and on to the Dean’s Honor roll. Rashid pays for Reed to focus on studying for his degree, with a proviso he comes back to the UK afterwards. Reed and James get into motorbike riding and Reed shows his metal on the road. 'Check me out bro' story. Patrice and Reed’s relationship deepens. Rumour circulates that Reed is a prince. Reed meets Patrice's parents and bonds with Sergeant Carl Lorenzo over a video game. Patrice and Reed move in together. Reed graduates and tells Rashid he’s not coming back to the UK going down badly. ROBBERY NOT GOING THE WAY IT SHOULD, GOES FOR 45MM GUN THAT HE FORGOT. Reed loves the warm Californian life style and sets up the database. He’s offered a full time sales job. Reed starts weight training and body building at Family Fitness Gym. Meets James Gee and they become close friends. James graduates from police academy with Toby. They introduce him to his first handgun and bullet proof vests. The guys have a joke on Reed with mace. So begins the Three Musketeers and their ensuing fun. Cultural differences with beach wear. Wrestling at the beach. Reed is introduced to Trish at the gym. They have a wild weekend in Tijuana on Tequila and she becomes his girlfriend. Reed buys his first car, a Corvette. Rashid makes him take it back and buy something sensible. But also buys a motorbike. Rashid and Moree give ultimatum on Trish. Reed tries to prove them wrong and they move in together but they split. Reed invites Patrice out on a motorbike ride as friends. They have dinner. THREE POLICE CARS HEAD TOWARDS HIM.

Reed’s father starts his biochemical career. The family leave South Africa and move to the UK. Rashid is offered a government subsidy to move his business to Abergavenny, Wales. The company grows and the family move to a larger house. Reed is sent to boarding school. Rashid isn’t happy with Reed’s academic levels as he struggles with the boarding school regime. Patrice recollects Reed’s dreams of being in prison. Reed becomes a house prefect. He dyes his hair for the ball, which has disastrous repercussions with the headmaster and Rashid. Reed flips and wrecks his Mum’s new car. Reed becomes fascinated by computer technology. Rashid sends Reed to set up the computer database in San Diego. BANK ROBBERY NOTE.

Early morning: bang bang bang. Reed’s perfect life at home with his wife Patrice, toddler Chummy and step son is rudely awakened by the FBI at 5am at his Californian home. Armed agents search the house for the 45 and 9mm guns. Reed shows them where they are whilst handcuffed. Evidence is being bagged and tagged calmly. Reed is read the Miranda rights. Patrice is stunned and Reed whispers a confession to her only, as she takes off his wedding ring. Reed is taken away by the FBI as Patrice is left in shock and in complete denial. She’s urged to flee the house by their police friend to avoid the press.
