  • Some might say our qualifications don’t matter, our degrees don’t matter, but our stories do. I invite you to join me in circleness today as we sit in conversation with Clarinda Tivoli, a Pasifika Dancer, Sailor & Decolonizing Business Educator, to share and to talk story.

Are you ready to take a toe tip with us today to start to tend to YOUR story?

    I’m exploring:

Why there’s been a pause in the podcast and what’s to come from this circle What your biosphere involves The misconception about cultural exchanges What access does and doesn’t mean Having exchanges with people outside of our own circles and what it actually means to have a “good” exchange The wound of value and how it shows up Why I use the term “slow medicine” and “agenda” in my circles The importance and richness of having cultural exchanges Why those from the West come to indigenous circles What happens when we don’t recognize cultural exchanges

  • How can you be the medicine? How can you reject what the modern world has taught you and, instead, find what you need within yourself? Are you struggling to understand what this phrase even means or where to start? Then join me today for an exploration of this concept of medicine. Together, we’ll consider how our modern society is attempting to extract it without acknowledgement and how you can start taking steps to be your own medicine as you begin your journey to radical self-love, acceptance, and healing. I invite you to pause, reconnect, and do the work to find your truth. Let’s get started.

    I’m exploring:

How the modern world’s approach to finding medicine is missing the point and can lead to greater harm The perspective of an Indigenous woman with a special reading Colonization as a part of the human condition: Why must one conquer? Can there be another way? How to let go of martyrdom as a form of generosity and goodness and, instead, be true to who you are, as you are Reciprocity with Mother Nature: Are you taking without giving back? Breath work to detach from trying to fix yourself or others, but instead learning about self as you begin your healing journey And more

Today we welcome Vesna Vavladellis back to the circle to have a conversation around what it means to be trained in an indigenous way, what it means to be in a circle and to learn and have access to that, and to explore grief and how it can go hand in hand with love.

    I’m exploring:

Why some groups believe in the power of each single breath How humans and societies have devolved away from the 1 breath A historical context for how the meaning of the soul has evolved (and why its separation was KEY for colonization) Why I teach The 3 Breaths (and why other practitioners love it, too!) • As we change, grow and evolve, as we walk our medicine path we often encounter the waters of our trauma and grief. Some of these wounds run deep and need more time to heal but we sometimes cannot see the layers necessary for healing. Sometimes we speak from what we think is a fixed wound but what is underneath is still building up. The lesson here is that life is truly a journey of stages and therefore things take time. Recovering from a wound takes time.

Today's plática is one that had been brewing for over six months. The energía that we invite to sit with us in the circle today has many names: awakening, trauma, grief but today we will simply call it a wound.

Join me as we revisit this conversation where we talk about the work necessary to identify and heal our wounds. Tune in as I share a technique woven together in indigenous practice to help you: peel back the layers necessary for healing, stop taking on other people's waters and find a path to YOUR healing.

    I'm sharing:

Why it's important to accept the stages of trauma and grief The importance of recognizing that others may be on a different path in their healing journey An indigenous diagnostic tool to help you look at your trauma and grief (even when it is overwhelming) How to use this tool to identify the layers of your wound (and how this can help you focus on your own healing first) Ways that we can learn to approach ourselves and others with mercy, compassion and grace as we walk our healing paths. A grounding meditation to help you stop carrying other people's wounds and find the path to your OWN healing

As we enter into Circle today, I invite you to join me in this conversation with a phenomenal astrologer and dreamwalker, Ananda Sykes. Ananda is a mystic, metaphysician, astrologer, dreamwalker, folk witch, guide, and mentor with a unique comedic warmth. • Today I’m bringing you an intimate conversation with HeatherAsh Amara, host of The Warrior Goddess Revolution Podcast, where we share our creation stories and experiences of displacement, negotiation, holiness, destruction, collaboration, and creation. Come into this conversation with the elements, working with warrior energy, and how to deepen in your relationship with the dynamic world we all live in that often goes by unnoticed.

    We’re exploring:

Cultural shock living in the US The experience HeatherAsh had as a child that began her love of the dark and the underworld How our varied childhood exposures shaped who we have become and the work we do in the world Having conversations with the elements THIS main thing that keeps western culture from beginning to contemplate an indigenous way of being What warriorship means to us Being a bridge between western and indigenous cultures
