  • This time Alex and I chat over our thoughts about WWDC and what we are either expecting or excited about - including tApple’s M3 15-inch MacBook Air and of course Apple’s mixed reality headset.

We get back in the YouTube trenches and look at music libraries and the best way to utilise music in your videos, upload timings and strategies and using the Community tab for posts in YouTube Studio.

We chat over the pros and cons of Final Cut on iPad and then have a good look at AI and how it can help a creator.

  • On this episode Alex & I are joined by Pete Matheson and boy, do we get down to business!

We chat about how important it is to be business-minded when setting up a YouTube channel and having a strategy in mind. Then we go through the monetisation process, AdSense, sponsors and the Amazon Affiliate program.

As Pete’s business and channel has grown he has found a huge benefit in outsourcing too. He has a team working with him now and pulls back the curtains to let us know how that helps and the benefits of it to him.

Artificial Intelligence gets our attention and we look at the benefits it can have for a creator. And then we talk about contracts and how important they can be working with sponsors.

  • Alex & I are joined by Daniel Scuteri from the Tech with Benefits channel on this podcast.

For many years Daniel worked with Samsung and only left about a month ago so he is able to give us the inside scoop on what it was really like to work for them and offers up some exclusive scoops. There’s a lot of Samsung chat this time around.

We also cover the benefits of YouTube Shorts to a channel & a creator and what it’s like getting money from sponsors for videos and all that is BEFORE Alex lets rip about what it’s like to have your content stolen by another creator! Explosive, real hands-on stuff.

  • Alex & I are joined by Patrick on this podcast and again, we get down to talking business.

We mull over the benefits of changing out thumbnails, and titles on videos, and the art of the ad read. How do you bring in sponsors seamlessly to your videos without alienating viewers? We also discuss should you make videos that please you, or make them to please the algorithm?

Video files are massive, particularly the 8K ones that Alex has been shooting, so how do we archive and back-up? Oh, and is Twitter still a useful tool for creators?

Last week I posted a video where we took a look at his studio - click on the end card for that. It is the most amazing space!
