This week, we have two great architects and entrepreneurs from South Africa who work with bamboo in community adversment to talk to us. They are the directors of a company called Renewable Houses South Africa that focuses on working with bamboo. They are learning more about how bamboo can be used in many different ways in South Africa.
We talked about the different kinds of plants that grow in South Africa, as well as the most important things that need to be done to develop bamboo. This meant that we looked at planting, bamboo itself, and product development. We also talked about how the industry is doing financially and what we can learn from their success stories and what they've learned since they started.

Today, we are joined by Njeri Kimani, the Executive Director of Arts for Rights, as she examines the effect, situation on the ground, and potential solutions regarding the surge in the creation of gangs in Kenya. During this time, she will also present her organization. Her primary concern is with gangs in the Nakuru area, and the organization she heads, which is led by women, is looking into the possibility of utilizing art as a means of advocacy and of assisting both those whose lives have been negatively impacted by the activities of gangs and those who want to disengage from the identified gangs.
Our conversation focuses on the emergence, influence, and durability of these gangs in their different communities, as well as the power they wield over those communities, as well as the role that each sector plays in the formation and dispersal of these gangs.
We hope you will learn from this.

As Africans, the majority of the work lies on our shoulders, and it's about time that we start looking inside at the continent itself as we strive toward building a better society.
Come listen as our presenter, Mr. Morris Andati, describes what he sees as Africa's current state and where he believes it should be headed in the future.
