  • Our last episode wrapped up the 3-part series on the Human Project Framework – Plan, Act, Reflect. In each of those episodes I shared tools and techniques that I explored and have embraced to support me in my own human projects. In this episode, we explore a tool that has intrigued people on their journeys to self-discovery – Enneagram. Matt Schlegel and I discussed what Enneagram is and how it can fuel your human projects and your relationships. Listen in and let us know what resonates!

Best-selling author Matt Schlegel is committed to developing highly effective, style-diverse teams and giving them the tools and strategies to tackle challenges that are seemingly impossible. Principal of Schlegel Consulting, Matt started his career as an electrical engineer and soon realized that successful project outcomes depend more on leading people than leading electrons. Matt discovered a powerful system called the Enneagram and used it to develop a novel set of tools, strategies, and applications for team effectiveness that he uses in his consulting practice and shares in his book Teamwork 9.0.

  • In this final episode of the 3-part series on the Human Project Framework, I share the “Reflect” phase of the framework. I discuss how reflection is so much more than a replay of things you’ve done, and I outline the benefits of intentional reflection. I then discuss, step by step, a reflection approach I use when looking at the progress of my own human projects. Finally, I walk you through what’s next. Reflection has its greatest impact when it arms us with information to adjust our plans and ignite our continued action. If you’re feeling a little scattered or uninspired, reflection might just be in order. I invite you to get curious!

  • The Human Project Framework consists of three areas – Plan, Act and Reflect. In this episode, part 2 of the 3-part series, I walk you through the “Act” phase of the framework. I share how to establish the big goals that lead to the vision you created in the planning phase. I then walk you through what it means to take conscious, aligned action by building habits. Finally, I share mindset shifts to consider as you create momentum. If you haven’t moved on your vision since you outlined your plan, this is your sign (along with the tools) that you have everything you need to act. Let’s go!

In this episode, I sat down with Dr. Nicole Garneau to talk about the pings she’s followed that have led her to a new career, a clearer purpose and even to better mental health. • This episode is a slightly different groove than what you may be accustomed to from The Encourage Project. While there is definitely a story of someone with a vision to take impactful action, the story hits so close to home (literally), it might shock you. I encourage you to get curious about where you live – and what else might be “living” with you. Listen in!

Kathi McCarty is a mom, activist, and founder of Meth Toxins Awareness Alliance. After experiencing a serious health issue, Kathi could not return to her position leading a large bank branch, so she decided to rent her family home as a means to offset her medical costs. What seemed like a sensible solution turned into her worst nightmare when her beautiful home was rented to a meth head by an irresponsible and unethical property management company. The tenant turned her house into a meth lab, contaminating her home while putting her neighbors and her entire community at risk. Kathi has turned the mess into a mission to raise awareness and educate people about the insidious presence of meth toxicity in our homes and lives.

  • Have you ever felt that something in your body wasn’t quite right? Maybe you went to a doctor and were told you needed to make lifestyle changes, or you would wind up needing medication. If you’re like I am, getting curious about what you could possibly do to help yourself didn’t immediately cross your mind. Join me as I talk with Liz Morgan about how we fill our bodies is so much more than quieting our stomachs. It has the potential to heal us – and the planet.

Liz Morgan is a functional nutritionist on a mission to transform the food culture into one that makes people and ecosystems vibrant and healthy. As an environmental lawyer, Liz realized that policy solutions for healing the planet would be doomed until we learned how to heal ourselves first. Liz is the founder of Liz Morgan Nutrition, a nationwide tele-wellness clinic, and she educates and empowers her clients to understand and honor the true needs of their bodies and brains.

  • So much of how we show up in the world is influenced by how we are raised. Obviously! Many of us arrive at adulthood before we ever realize that what we view as a frustrating flaw in ourselves is really just that we are different from others in some non-mainstream way – not flawed, but perfectly different. Christian Vinceneux and I had an interesting and insightful conversation about how he supports parents and children (and creates new possibilities!) to navigate and thrive with those differences. Listen, like, and share what you think.

As a Parent coach, Christian Vinceneux helps anxious and exhausted neurodivergent families to thrive. From growing up as an anxious kid in a neurodivergent family to working as an occupational therapist for over 30 years, Christian has developed a unique approach to help parents create practical changes, for themselves and for their child.

  • I am a huge proponent of you exploring and learning what is best for YOU! Many folks view the beginning of a new year as the perfect time to refocus on healthier habits, especially weight management. And I’m excited to share this conversation I had with Jenn Trepeck! It’s packed with things that, in my experience with virtually every “diet” or “lifestyle” program on earth, few programs dive into, and nobody ever teaches us. Trust yourself, and evaluate!

Jennifer Trepeck has been described as a “force of nature” in wellness. She is an Optimal Health Coach, Podcaster, Business Consultant. After graduating from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Jenn founded Better Life Now LLC while working full time in hedge funds. After over a decade of coaching clients, Jenn started Salad with a Side of Fries Podcast to help pay it forward and reach a larger audience to teach the nutrition education we are all supposed to know but no one ever taught us.

Everything from dating to breakups to journeying back to yourself. So much goodness she brings! (Yes, I let my inner Yoda out there). Enjoy!

Venus Castleberg is the author of the bestseller Here to Forever: Finally Free to Be Me, a story that explores looking for love in all the wrong places. If the ups and downs and twists and turns of the roller coaster of relationships has left you wondering why you keep bothering to get back on the ride, Here to Forever is for you. Venus delivers the tools and processes that others can apply to create something greater. Written with a beautiful vulnerability, clarity, and a welcoming light-heartedness, Here to Forever gives readers a glimpse into her own journey of joy and destruction, asking them to consider the possibility that love can be filled with ease and fulfillment.
