Memory Tapela Banda is a young social entrepreneur from the southern African nation of Zambia. Growing up in her local community, Tapela became friends with two girls who were living with Albinism, and in the course of their friendship, Tapela witnessed first-hand, the intense discrimination and exclusion these girls suffered from their community. This encounter was one that would change Tapela's entire life as she could not understand why people would be treated differently because of a condition they were born with and couldn't control. In 2017, Tapela launched the Zambian Albinism Matter Organization, a group dedicated to safeguarding the rights and wellbeing of people living with Albinism. From a young age, Mustapha Abubakar Gajibo developed a deep passion for technology and entrepreneurship. As a secondary school student, his passion for technology led him to conduct research which enabled him build innovative products he deployed to earn money in his local community in Northern Nigeria. By the time he got to the University, Mustapha was already blazing the technological trail and felt University education had very little to offer him so he dropped out of school and launched fully into the world of tech and entrepreneurship. Today, Mustapha's company, phoenix renewables, is one of the first and only companies building electric vehicles in Nigeria, and he is prime to break further grounds. At the age of 14, James Okina encountered the problem of out-of-school street children in his home city of Calabar, southern Nigeria. Refusing to accept the grim reality that children as young as 10 were living on the streets of Calabar and fending for themselves, James begins to speak with people in hopes to galvanize help for these forgotten children, but his efforts yields little results. But rather than giving up, James took the bold step of establishing an organization known as Street Priests which has impacted the lives of over 16,000 children till date.
