  • Self Love - the phrase is a bit on the cringe side y’feel? But the concept is where the goods are at! The idea of constantly being on a journey to better understand yourself, your mind, your body and how all those cats play ball together is something that I find intriguing. How do some folk seemingly have it figured out, while I’m out here having to stare at the wall and listen to smooth jazz to attempt to get myself out of my own head. There’s also those classic stories of identity crisis and self consciousness that love to float around in my own brain. So I was keen to chat to two of my favorite folk that I feel at least seem to have sussed a few things out and might be able to offer some pearls of wisdom. So this bad boi is a ‘Self Love’ two - parter!

First up, in this ep I sat down with one of my favourite buds Nico (Nic Huntington). Even while I was in the conversation i was in awe of how intricately the guy thinks. A true existentialist but n the best way possible. I gained some beautiful insights into the guy’s thought process, how he cvercame a few hurdles and how he navigated the journey of self to become a truly content being. Think you’ll enjoy this longer convo!

If you do enjoy those dulcet tones Nico is giving off, would highly recommend having a listen to his podcast (with his co-host megastar Izzy) about marketplace and deep internet gems called Price Negotiable (@price.negotiable // https://anchor.fm/pricenegotiable).  Orrrrr you can check out all of Nico’s creative and other endeavours at @nicospacetm // nicospace.net // @blessupnico

    Be well!

  • In this ep I wrangled two of my favourite sparkles to virtually sit down wit me and tell me all about their beautiful and effortless 8 year long relationship. In my opinion, Pip and Matty were created to be two peas in a pod, two halves of the same magical flower - destined to find each other. They are two completely effortless and genuine rays of sunshine that compliment each other perfectly. When I floated the idea with Matty that I was keen to chat with him and Pip on the pod, he said, "we have a nice relationship but we don't really have that key story that ur other guests have" but I think that is exactly why I wanted to feature these two lovebirds. They're relationship is peaceful and radiates this jovial, sunny and cheeky but caring energy. It's lovely to witness and magical to be a part of their life journey. Throughout the episode they go into how they both got through last year where Pip was stuck in the intense Sydney lockdown and Matty up in Bris and how they were able to grow individually through being forced to live apart. They also chat all beautiful things on what makes their relo work and Matty uses every opportunity to bring up his self-love for his "muscular calves"....

When we recorded this number I was in my BNE abode and the two of them were comin to u LIVE FROM BONDI BEACH! Sometimes the audio in this one is a lil funk bcuz of the way in which we recorded it but hey just focus on the werdzzz dawg!

Love these two bros and loved having this whimsical chat with them. Keen to hear ur thoughts and I hope it gives you beautiful folk listening a few warm fuzzy feelings!

  • Motherhood is said to be one of the most powerful forms of love. In most cases it's wholly unconditional. It's also a kind of love that I've never experienced so for this episode I have wrangled my Mum and my eldest sister, Jenna to talk with me about their experiences as Mothers. This was one of my favourite episodes to record because I feel like we explored a bunch of different questions and topics around motherhood that we hadn't really broached in detail before. I've just turned a whole new age and one year closer to 30. With the ole ticking body clock, I was also keen to get their thoughts on the question that I know many people my age might be naturally starting to discuss, is having children something that is on the cards for me? Throughout the episode we spoke about all things from their pregnancy and birth stories, to that feeling of fear when you're left alone to care for your child for the first time, to finding balance and of course what they've learned about love from being a Mother. I hope you cats enjoy this chat and find it as insightful as I have. Apologies in advance for how many times I've used incredible.... Big luv to yuz xx

  • *cue 'Got To Be Real' by Cheryl Flynn* Yas (one of my greatest friends and housemates) lives with me in my lil BNE abode but her boyfriend Denis lives a quaint 18 hour flight away in Fort Worth, Texas - America. This ep is all about how these two cats maintain an incredibly beautiful, strong and trusting love whilst being separated by the seas.

Like many long distance relationship folk, Covid has been a pretty harsh cat to these two - forcing them to spend a majority of their year long relationship communicating with each other via FaceTime. Throughout the ep they go into how it is they navigate being separated from each other for extended periods of time as well as a bunch of other cute storiezzzz.

At the time of recording it we were seated around our coffee table with a glass of wine ahead of Yas and Denis heading out for D's farewell dinner with their close friends, Soph and Sully. Luckily for us, Soph and Sully (who are also in a distanced relationship) dropped in slightly earlier and agreed to make a surprise drop in to the podcast. So we get to hear a few extra cutie batootie moments, such as the sweetest compliment Soph has received from Sully being that she was a 'brat pig', which is as great as it sounds.

This was genuinely just heaps of fun to be able to record beautiful moments from two very special relationships with four of my lovely friends - hope all you rays of sunshine enjoy:)))

  • From the past few episodes you may have picked up that I hail from a rather large and pretty close-knit family. In this episode, you'll get an in-depth look at what exactly that sounds like because this ones sees me talking shop with all four of my siblings; Jenna (33), Andrew (30), Madeleine (29) and Louis (25). We spoke one rainy Sunday afternoon, over quite a chaotic but fun conference call. It’s an interesting, pretty unique and special dynamic between myself and my siblings. I feel that our relationship resembles more than just a family tie, we're buds. Throughout the ep there's a whole lot of confidence boosting smile-worthy compliments, a sprinkle of sibling jabs and a few notable lessons on what we have learned from our siblings and what they have learned from some of their relationships. Hope you enjoy, starshines:)

  • In this episode we're talking alll about friendship in its purest form, which in this case takes its shape in the companionship between my dad John and his best friend of 55 years, Ferg. Their friendship bond is effortless, understanding and timeless. They've traversed school life together, their differing career paths, raising their own families and now are both doting Grandpas. Throughout the episode they chat about their first impression of each other, what they admire about the other while also sharing a few classssique stories and wrapping up with why the hayyyy they believe their remarkable friendship has worked for all these years. This was such a fun treat to record so I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me putting it together ;)))

  • For my very special first episode of 'Tell Me About Love', I wanted to tell the charming story of my grandparents, Len & Ann. It's a story of an incredible 69 year partnership, flourished with some incredibly sweet one-liners from both of them. In the ep, they both recount their first interaction at a grand dance hall in London called Hammersmith Palais. They chat about their whirlwind romance and decision to elope ~ essentially detailing a localised version of a Nicholas Sparks novel. Finally, they dish out a few admirable pearls of wisdom and sweet admirations for each other. GOSH IT IS JUST LOVELY!

  • Who doesn't LOVE, love?!> We all know that love comes in a bunch of different forms so in this podcast series I'm gonna be a chatting to a selection of good follk about all the lessons they can impart generally on realtionships.
