AUTUMN CAROLYNNAutumn shares her story of a cancer scare at a young age which led to a realization of how her life should ever move forward.Traveling in Wonder: A Travel Photographer's Tales of Wanderlust is an author’s extended letter to the many countries she's visited, first as a student traveling abroad, then as a flight attendant, a travel agent, and more recently, a travel photographer. Traveling in Wonder is a former flight attendant’s reflections on the 30 countries she traveled to or lived in within 30 years. Traveling in Wonder is also a love letter to self, and the courage it takes to get on a plane and go, but also in choosing not to run away from your problems in the present, and equally, letting ordinary days teach you more about yourself. Traveling in Wonder is going to be released on February 24th, 2024.Autumn Carolynn received her bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing from Illinois State University and Canterbury Christ Church University. She is a published author with Spoon River Poetry Review and has worked as an on-air DJ for two radio stations. Autumn produced a creative writing segment aired on WGLT, an NPR station, which introduced writers from all over the Midwest and allowed them to share their work on air. She is an award-winning travel photographer who owns her business, Autumn Carolynn Photography. One can find her work across multiple galleries, including the Northrup King Building, one of the largest art complexes in the United States. We're looking for people to publicly bare their souls … and you seem like just the person we need! 🙂Hi, my name is Rick Higgins … did I get your attention? LOL! I run a YouTube channel called The Pirate Wanderer. We have a podcast within the channel (and also on Spotify, Apple, all the usual places) called "Reflections". Similar to The Moth from NPR, each episode showcases three storytellers who share personal tales from their own lives. Successes, failures, lessons learned. Travel, humor, and real life. Whatever story the teller wants to share.And I'd like to feature YOU as a storyteller!Here are the details … I need a 5-10 minute personal story about something that happened in your life that led to a change. Something that inspired you or helped you to grow. You can either film yourself (don't worry, I'll tell you how) or we can hop on a video call and I'll step you through it. Yes, it's a podcast but it's also a video. Spotify and YouTube allow for video podcasts. And if you have a personal brand or a charity that you wish to tag with your story, that will be included in both the description and in the introduction. The idea is to both entertain and inspire others with stories from our own lives. It's the basis for The Pirate Wanderer and we're also extending that to allow others to be inspirational as well.
