News broke earlier Wednesday that Kodai Senga is being shut down a few days with an arm issue. This sounds all too familiar to what's gone on over the past few years. Should the Mets pivot and try to find a replacement to Senga for 2024? Are we jumping too conclusions? Plus. Evan dives into the first ever Rico Voice messages and more emails.

This episode of Rico Brogna takes you through the first press conference of spring training with David Stearns. Evan reacts to every answer by the new president of baseball operations. How much optimism should fans have going into pitchers and catchers?

MLB came down with a ruling Friday on Billy Eppler's improper use of the injured reserved list. A year suspension for Mr. Eppler, yet as Evan points out, this has been going on in baseball for a long time. So why is Eppler the scapegoat?

Though Carlos Beltran gets most of the negativity after looking at strike three from a nasty Adam Wainwright curveball, Evan points out, there is plenty of blame to go around that caused the Mets to lose in gut wrenching fashion in game 7 of the NLCS.

The deeper game 7 of the NLCS went, the more nail biting it got for the fans. Specifically the 5th inning when Oliver Perez got into a jam, did we think it was time for Willie Randolph to get to the bullpen. Things didn't go as planned, but we did witness one of the most incredible post season plays of all time.

Evan takes us through the beginning of the worst game in the history of the New York Mets. It started out well, but the lead didn't last long.

From 'Baseball Isn't Boring' (subscribe here): A year ago the Mets were the talk of the offseason, with Steve Cohen flexing his financial might to help get the New York fan base feeling pretty good about themselves. But things didn't go as planned, along came David Stearns and now the vibe is certainly ... different. The Athletic's Tim Britton joins Rob Bradford to reflect on how things have changed over the last year and how the Mets should be viewed with spring training right around the corner.

Mets look like they are all but done adding to the 2024 roster, but hot stove may be heating up for the rest of baseball. Orioles make a big splash as they go and bring in Corbin Burnes. Should the Mets have been in on this trade?

Evan has near lost his mind. Justin Turner is no longer available and that means another option is off the board for DH. Will the Mets fill out the roster with one more bat and maybe even one more bullpen arm?
