  • On today's episode, Ruth speaks with Dominic Thompson and Levi Sanderson, about the advisory board, 2024 rule changes, and more!

Dominic Thompson started shooting NRL22 in 2018 when a friend of his introduced him to the sport. He was an active duty Army medic who wanted to find the same camaraderie the military has but within the shooting community. He loved that folks were willing to coach you and help you as a new competitor. Since actively competing, he became a Match Director for NRL22-Ft. Campbell and serves as the NRL22 National Coordinator. As a match director, he gets real enjoyment out of seeing new competitors enjoying themselves and seasoned competitors getting better. His goal is to continue to coach, guide and mentor competitors and continue to grow this sport.

Levi Sanderson has enjoyed plinking and shooting since he was a kid. Growing up in South Dakota he spent a lot of time hunting, but 10 years ago he jumped into the competitive shooting sports. In 2018 he discovered NRL22 and fell in love with the discipline and community. Now he is actively involved in growing the sport ranging from helping new shooters to managing national NRL22 leaderboards. Along with hosting a monthly match at Strategic Edge just outside of Nashville, he also competes almost every weekend. He loves working with and learning from competitors of all skill levels, but especially enjoys seeing new competitors grasp previously unknown concepts and get hooked on the sport.

They usually shoot as a squad with their 2 (soon to be 3) of 5 Young Guns. They are very active in the Rocky Mountain NRL22/NRL22X community and are always encouraging shooters to teach a young gun, de-Fudd a buddy, or bring new shooters to a match. Their home range is in ever windy Northern Colorado, where the wind can teach you that you don’t know how to read the wind. After introducing many to NRL22, they were inclined to empower the sport further by launching the YouTube channel: 22 Lima Romeo in March of 2021. • On today's episode, Theresa Jurisch and Michelle Schroeder join Ruth Soucie to talk about all things rimfire, how to get more ladies involved in the sport, and much more!

Michelle Schroeder is an NRL22 competitor and match director who has been participating in NRL22 matches since 2018. She has several first place Ladies Class wins from local and NRL22X matches. Michelle has especially enjoyed seeing the number of female and youth competitors increase over the years and looks forward to watching the sport continue to grow.

Theresa Jurisch has been competing in precision rimfire matches for around 1.5 years. She started shooting after taking a class from Ruth through Midwest Precision Shooting for ladies interested in getting into NRL22 competition. Figuring it was time to see what her husband had been out doing many weekends over the previous three years. It turned out this was something not only they could do together, but she would break out on her own, become independent, and sometimes go to matches without him.
