  • What would the world look like if all businesses were committed to having a net positive impact? If purpose, people and the planet were as important as profit?

What would be possible for individuals if they were encouraged to flourish in their full self-expression, and allowed to structure their days to suit their energies, (dis)abilities and needs? If the workplace was truly inclusive and accessible?

How would our experience be different if we stopped trying to force square, triangle or octagonal pegs into round holes, and instead celebrated our differences? If no one was left behind and diversity was the obvious approach to creating flourishing, successful teams? If we listened to the needs of the whole and took a systemic approach to business growth? If organisations were treated as ecosystems, with every part valued equally?

This is the truth of the matter: the world can only truly work when it works for everyone. The individual and the collective are inextricably entwined. Businesses and their practices are the answer to a world in crisis.

In the Movers, Shakers & Change-Makers podcast Alice Reeves and Sophie Turton – co-hosts and co-founders of The Joyful – will dig into the biggest issues affecting workplaces, workforces and the planet, asking: “How can we create a more Joyful future for us all?”
