Another life hack episode coming at you! We always appreciate getting the dirty deets of how you get stuff done with littles in tow and this episode didn’t disappoint! I think my favorite new hack is having a 3 step car makeup routine. Thanks for your submissions and thank you for listening!

Today's episode is a chattier conversation talking through the ways we recognize and accept the duality in motherhood. Motherhood is so hard and so good; it is often lonely yet hard to find time for yourself; you can feel out of control and also be the one making all the decisions... it is paradoxical in it's nature. We hope you find this episode as therapeutic as it was for us to talk through!

We previously read and reviewed Jay Shetty’s Think Like a Monk for the pod. We loved it so much that we decided to read and review his new book, 8 Rules of Love, for our valentines themed episode! This episode isn’t a summary but more a discussion of what we liked and will takeaway. Hope you love it!

Surviving winter is a challenge for all of us- especially when you are simultaneously charged with caring for young kids who have seemingly endless amounts of energy and a great need for the open outdoors. So, we created this episode as a guide to surviving winter with little kids. We talk about winter clothing, activities, mindsets, and outings all with the central purpose of keeping both you and your young ones sane and happy through the cold months.

There are often phases through these early childhood years that, although wonderful, can also be defined as surviving. These periods of survival are not phases of achieving all of your lofty goals... they are phases of slowing and growing. In today's episode we talk about our priorities and how we measure our successes when we are in these seasons of survival.

Fall naturally brings with it a pause, a reminder to slow down and pair down and simplify. I always love a reminder to lean into each season but was left this year pondering what role simplification has to play in my life. A day to day with three young kids can feel far from simple or slow. In this episode we discuss the role of simplifying this fall season as well as this season of life.

It's been a minute since we've done a book review! This book came highly recommended from a friend and I'm so glad we read it for the podcast. The tips and practical application in this book were plentiful and super effective. From playful games to tactics to help your child feel more validated and heard, this book provides a number of tools to help you and your child work together for smoother cooperation. HTTSLKWL (the book in the Title) is geared towards kids ages 2-7.

Have you ever found yourself feeling overwhelmed by the simple day to day tasks of being a parent? Or unintentionally zoning out during the majority of your day? Seasons of burnout can be normal, especially if you aren’t intentional about how you manage the stress! This episode is all about how we are finding time to be engaged vs disengaged with our children, and some of the tools we use to avoid hitting a wall.
