Macy Young is no stranger to the top 15 and she's back for her second NFBR in the #10 position! Macy was one of the first ladies to grace the stage of the NFBR, back in 2020 when the very first NFBR was held in Texas. She's had a name change and started a family since then, but she's just as fierce as she ever was when she backs in the corner! In 82 rodeos Macy earned $89,530, with $24,000 of that being from her clean sweep of her set in Houston. We hope to see Macy's great bay horse, Boomer, make his rodeo comeback in time for the NFBR!

Coming in hot to her second NFBR at #11 is Canadian cowgirl Kendal Pierson! Kendal is 2x Canadian Finals Breakaway Roping Champion and she has been hot on the rodeo trail this year bouncing back and forth between the Canadian and American rodeos. Kendal won her set in Houston and grabbed a round win in Sioux Falls at the governor's cup to help her clench another NFBR qualification. Kendal will be riding her great horse Smoke all ten rounds. Las Vegas better watch out, the Smoke show is coming to town!

Hali Williams is headed to her second NFBR in the #12 position with a heart full of faith and a fire in her eyes! After battling an injury during the 2023 rodeo season and into the 2024 season Hali kept her nose on the grindstone and placed at big rodeos like Houston, Gooding and Reno to earn her 2024 NFBR qualification. Her comeback was stronger than her setback and her game plan is the same headed to Las Vegas in the #12 position as it was in the #2 position. Hali will be packing a trailer full of talented horses including Red Light, Chester and Lippy!

The future of breakaway roping is so bright on the horizon with all of the little girls around the world dreaming of becoming the next World Champion Breakaway Roper!Emmry and Lilly Edwards talk about all of the special things that they love about breakaway roping, horses, practice sessions, competitions, and so much more.
This event is truly something special, and the heart of the production comes from Jill and Travis Edwards. In 2022 the Edwards grew their breakaway roping event by 125%. There were over 100+ little girls that competed in the Something Special Breakaway Roping this year! There are so many people who have jumped on board and that have been involved as sponsors and supporters of growing this event! Paden Bray said, “This is like the NFR of little girls breakaway roping.”I loved visiting with these two girls because it reignites the fire inside of me, and reminds me of when I was a little girl and the love for the sport of rodeo that I had! The perspective of roping through their eyes is something very special!

The tradition of the Pendleton Round-Up is something that is recognized worldwide in the western industry! Tiah DeGrofft and her family have deep roots within the Pendleton community and a true love and passion for the Round-Up! Tiah is the first ever woman to be president of the Pendleton Roundup, as well as the first ever woman to be president of any major rodeo in the nation! She is paving the way for women around the world in the western industry, and sharing her insight of ambition, leadership, community, marketing, and her love for serving others!
This episode is not only about becoming the first ever female president of Pendleton Round-Up, but about the cowboys and cowgirls that have helped her along the way. Not only inside of the rodeo arena but out as well. Tiah talks about her marketing job with the PGA Golf Tour, and the many lessons that she learned and has tried to apply back into the western industry. Her many years serving as a volunteer for the Pendleton Roundup, her family ties to the PRU and being on the Round-Up board for 8 years prior to her presidency!

Shelli Scrivner fits the bill, because she does it all. Not because she has to, but because she wants to, and she just loves to rope.
Shelli Scrivner is a wife, mom, nurse administrator, and full time breakaway roper! Shelli is from a small town in Oregon, and loved breakaway roping from the start!
Family is huge for Shelli, her husband, kids, sister, mom and dad, and so many family and friends make it possible for Shelli to do what she loves! So many great people, and companies have been a part of Shelli’s journey;Vale Vet Clinic - Dr. Angie Allum, P3 Peak Performance, Caldwell Night Rodeo, are a huge part of Shelli’s team to keep her and her horses going strong down the rodeo road!
Shelli and I talk about the process of making breakaway roping work with a full time job, a family, a home, and living this crazy life. She truly loves to rope, and is a competitor through and through. She talks about the reality of making her way work, that her way to compete looks a little different with the commitments that she has on her plate.
Shelli talks about her goals, and all of the things that she wants to accomplish, with kids, a job, and a full packed life that is scheduled to the top!
