  • EP 15 - Ross Perlmutter worked in the music business for years as a band manager and at one time ran a band that was on the brink of being signed by Prince's Paisley Park label. Ross had the privilege and honour of meeting Prince and spoke with him in Paisley Park in the late 80s. Ross also happens to have extensive knowledge and experience concerning the music business and happens to be a huge Prince fan!

    In this episode Ross talks about all things Prince with Melissa & Jasia. From meeting Sheila E., BrownMark and being set up on a date with Apollonia (by Prince), this episode is filled with wonderful memories and reflections on Prince.

  • EP 014 w/ Sebastian La Cause is a multi-faceted artist, who has been expressing through the performing arts since childhood. His first articulation was as a professional dancer, working on Broadway, then as an actor in television and film. In 2011 Sebastian began to expand his artistry into storytelling with his provocative digital series Hustling, where he served as writer, director, producer and editor.


    Currently La Cause is known for his podcast Chasing Happy an autobiographical, non-fiction Queer tale of truth and transformation.

    He's also an award winning indie-filmmaker who's recent short "Disciple" is making waves in the film festival stream.


    In the 90s Sebastian was a backup dancer for Prince.
    He started his journey w/ Prince dancing the GlamSlam club show Ulysses as "Victor".

    In this episode Sebastian reflects on his career with Prince, Mayte Garcia, Jamie King & Melissa Williams.

    He shares his favourite memories and remembers how he felt when the Purple One ascended from this earth.

  • EP 013- Kevin Stea is an American dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, director and model. He has worked as a dancer and choreographer with a number of high-profile artists, including Madonna (he was in 'Truth or Dare' as the Dance Captain for the Blonde Ambition Tour), Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson, and has appeared in several movies and television shows.

    Once upon a time Kevin worked as a dancer for Prince. He was an original cast member in Prince's Glam Slam LA club shows "Ulysses" and "Erotic City".
    Before dancing for Prince, Kevin was a HUGE fan. In this episode he recalls watching Purple Rain for the first time(s) in theatre, his time working with Prince and Carmen Electra and many other memories, recollections and reflections.

  • EP 012 - Kamilah's life changed at a Prince concert when she was dancing with friends in the 2nd row. She caught the Purple One's attention and he invited her to dance on stage with him. The rest is history.

    In this episode the triple threat (actress, singer and dancer) Kamilah Barrett Forster tells Melissa and Jasia her captivating story of how she was discovered by Prince and the friendship they carried throughout his life. She also shares the story of the connect that brought her a Prince so close together, her mother Vinnie Barrett. Vinnie Barrett is an awarded songwriter who has worked with R&B icons Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff (founders of Philadelphia International) and penned such hits as “Sideshow” and “Love Won’t Let Me Wait.” Prince was a fan of Vinnie's to say the least.

  • Christian Vincent is a native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and holds a B.F.A from Butler University where he graduated with highest honors, cum laude and a MFA in dance from University of California, Irvine.

    Christian has worked with such artists as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Chayanne, Mandy Moore, Geri Halliwell, Macy Gray, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Ashanti, Prince, Gloria Estefan, Britney Spears, Stevie Wonder and Madonna (where he was dance captain for her Drowned World Tour). Christian has also danced in various films.

    His talents as a choreographer and artistic director can be seen in various projects. Most recently he choreographed the Salt N' Pepa biopic on Lifetime.

    Christian enjoys sharing and inspiring the next generation of dancers and currently teaches on the dance conventions LA Dance Magic and Triple Threat dance Convention.

    ONCE UPON A TIME... at the beginning of his career Christian was a dancer in the New Power Generation Dance Company (alongside his hometown-homegirl Melissa Williams!)

  • Daniel Sidorowicz aka STEEP Daniels, is an artist, director, fashion collaborator, and filmmaker whose work and life have crossed the border and can be found in several collections throughout North America and other countries. He is a graduate of the New York Film Academy Cinematography program. He has produced and directed international film projects in NYC for cultural icons such as The Wu Tang’s Method Man, and Zombie Boy.

    STEEP is also best known for his paintings of Prince.

    In this episode STEEP talks to Melissa and Jasia about how he began he founded 777 Overcoming and launched a children’s initiative through a fundraiser for Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto using 7 original paintings from his “Purple Frames”, a collection directly inspired by the spirit of Prince. On April 21st, 2016 when the American Icon passed away, Daniels’ came up with this project, deciding to name it 777 while listening to Prince’s Purple Rain. As the launch of June 7th, 2018, National Prince Day approached, Daniel’s realized this date fell the 777th day of the project unknown to him when the number first inspired him.
