This week we're taking a moment to pause and reflect on the journey that is Girl Awakening.
We are but a micro moment of all that is going on in the world - the stories that have been shared, the love, the laughter and the tears, the diversity and the unity that has flowed through every episode. We are all so very unique and yet, we are essentially all the same.
Most of all, we want to acknowledge the bravery of each of our guests in stepping into our podcast space and sitting in the red seat as they shared their AWAKENING/s with us all.
Some beautiful souls sharing intimate experiences they had never ever shared before.
Every one of our guests having some kind of activation, epiphany or pivot after being on Girl Awakening. We are not so bold as to say, it was us. We know in our hearts the magic and the alchemy that happens when souls connect, hearts are open, space is held with respect and graceful integrity.
We, Jo & Amanda, have had a multitude of activations, epiphany's and pivots through out the seasons that Girl Awakening has been rippling out through the ethers. Our cells have transmuted quantumly !

Well we know the times they are quite "interesting" at the moment with a lot hanging in the air, ethers, fire, water...
WTF happened to Jo connects in to that opportunity we hear often that arises with many of our GA guests, whereby their body lets them know when it's time for a change. Something in life isn't serving them anymore, the program has got out of control, a STOP what you're doing moment. AKA a crisis or illness and the body gets sick, presenting an opportunity where we have a moment to consider electively or not, to make considerable changes in our life.
All divinely Self created!
Jo went somewhere in a big way with many elements to consider about the opportunity that presented as she shares in this episode.
It has been a while since we sat together and shared a reflection or two. It felt good. Hopefully for you too :)

We have been deeply honoured with the gift of sitting this week with Anjali Woodford, founder of Gold Coast Women's Health Networking Page.
Anjali lives on the Gold Coast, Australia with her beautiful family and has a mission to empower women in different ways involving health and wellness. This includes giving a voice to women in developing countries such as Nepal. Her home country of birth.
Indignant at age 10 being verbally abused by an older man in the village and told she was worthless as a girl to her family, Anjali has had a fire deep within that has simmered, rising to the surface at different stages of her life, giving her strength and the courage to find a way out of that life. The fire has continued to be brewing away and now is rising to the surface as a very BIG DREAM!
Bringing amazing things to women in community is a part of the flame in her heart. Empowering women locally and in undeveloped countries to be able to utilise the resources, support, uplift and collaborate to learn from our strength and weaknesses.
In Anjali's words; "As you are aware, I am from Nepal and I am passionate to see some changes that impacted me growing up. In Nepal lots of girls suffers from sexual abuse, sex trafficking, domestic violence and early marriage. Once a woman is in the situation of being touched by a man inappropriately, they are seen as dirty and abandoned by family and the community."
Gold Coast Women's Health Network Page is bringing the women’s health and wellbeing community together in a networking space for all health care professionals and a learning space for everyone.
GCWNP is the first step in Anjali's BIG DREAM. The second step is a practitioner / fund raising event being held in September, link below.

Our guest this week is a free spirit, viewing the world differently to those around her as a young girl, but not sure why. A healthy rebellious streak kept testing boundaries and stretching the "requirements" of the status quo. Leah's natural curiosity leading her to try new things and in finding her own lane to flow to.

Our guest this week is Astara Leon, a co-founder of Aurora School of Natural Healing and their new modality birthed called Manasomatics. Based on 18 years of embodied research when Astara'a life was turned upside down and she came out the other side of one of the ‘dark nights of the soul’.

Jumping on a plane to a distant land and no time limits on the adventures ahead sounds like the dream for a 19 year old.
The dream very quickly became an initiation into discovering the true identity of the adventurous Soul leaving Australia. Leaving home and friends as one person and coming back as not quite the same girl and a completely different Woman.
With some bonus skills in the handcraft department...and quite a few others in the HR department you will find out what they are as we journey with the BeYOUtiful Soul that is Jaali Hendy, a guest we had the divine pleasure of sitting with over a year ago on Girl Awakening.

In saying that, we'd like to offer that many 19year olds today have that something else in their psyche and soul purpose that is going to shake up the limiting paradigms of this planet in very meaningful ways.
And we are grateful to be learning from them as much as we are so proud to be their parents, family and friends.

A journey that began at 14years old over a cuppa with a favourite cousin and a not very ordinary conversation about Angels all the things in between, brought Monica to choose at a very young age the lane she wanted to operate in.
