I had a good weekend at the movies so decided to do an impromptu solo episode sharing my thoughts on "The Long Game" starring Jay Hernandez, Dennis Quaid, and Cheech Marin as well as Alex Garland's "Civil War". I break the seal on some Garrison Bros Balmorhea Bourbon for this one.

For the next few weeks Matt and I are going to watch and discuss Jordan Peeles films. Starting with 2017's "Get Out". We pair this movie with a new limited release whiskey, Bulliets 12 year old rye.

This week Matt, Chris, and I discuss 1987's Predator. We try a flight of whiskies once again starting with Jefferson's Tropics aged in Humidity. Then we compare a single barrel store pick of Frey Ranch rye from Hi_times wine cellars and a Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel Proof rye store pick from Everson ROyce.

This week Chris and I blind taste 6 Sierra Norte Mexican Whiskey's, White Corn, Yellow Corn, Black Corn, Purple Corn, Red Corn, and Rainbow Corn. We also try out a new Old Forester Single Barrel Barrel Strength Pick from Canyon CIty Liquour in Azusa CA as well as my rye infinity bottle which I've named "The Water of Life". All while discussing Dune. We dive into David Lynch's 1984 film as well as Denis Villeneauve's 2 parter. Cheers!

This week both Matt and Chris join me to discuss one of my favorite John Carpenter films, "Assault on Precinct 13". Fantastic film that these guys just watched for the first time. We try out a flight of whiskies for this one starting with a Single Malt from a local distillery in Culver City, CA. Then we move on to Little Book Chapter 6 "To The Finish", and then end on Elijah Craig 18. (As a bonus we pour some Knob Creek 18 for comparison)

Last episode of 2023 is here! Mando joins the show once again to discuss the original 1954 Godzilla and the latest film in the franchise Godzilla Minus one. Is this one of the best movies of the year? As we discuss the films we try out Kikori Japanese rice whisky and break the seal on a Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof rye.

This week Matt and I discuss one of the greatest films of all time. The sci-fi horror classic that is John Carpenter's "The Thing". We pair this with Macready's drink of choice, the J&B blended scotch whiskey. Since I'm not a big scotch fan, I decide to bring out a bourbon to try as well. We finally break the seal on the Nelson Bros Cognac Cask Finished bourbon.

This week Matt and I discuss my favorite documentary, American Movie. Since we recorded on Thanksgiving week I decided to break out the Wild Turkey 101 12 year old. We compare it with regular 101 and a Stearns Store pick of Kentucky Spirit that is 10 years old.
