  • Most people know GPS as the technology that allows them to plot driving directions or locate a friend. But the technology is far more sophisticated than that and has many more applications as well. For example, in construction, geospatial technology makes it possible to visualize a building site using sensors that can ‘read’ the ground, alleviating the requirement for project managers to be on site.
