What really struck me was the one thing that humans can do that no other species can do is humans can materialize the invisible human beings can actually have an idea and translate that idea into reality. And one of the things we talked about at the Summit of Greatness was that humans create futures in the same way that silkworms create silk. And beavers naturally intrinsically create dams and ants create colonies, and bees create beehives and honey, humans create futures. But it's so intrinsic to who we are that we do not realize that's our unique contribution to all the species on the planet.

    [13:05 - 13:46] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem
I'm absolutely convinced that if you want to find proof of God, look at human nature. Human beings were created to dream, and to imagine, and to create. It's one of the things I love telling people is, look, you were born in the imagination of God. God imagined you before you existed. In that sense, God dreamed about you before you ever had your first dream. And but you were, imagined to imagine, and you were created to create. And that every human being is both a work of art and an artist at work. And I just love the fact that the best reflection of the image of God is when a human being creates good in the world.

Topic: The 7 Frequencies of Communication
    [23:07 - 24:01] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem

I'm just gonna lay 'em out real quick. There's a frequency called MOTIVATOR, which inspires and encourages. There's a frequency called CHALLENGER that calls people out and calls people up. There's a frequency called COMMANDER that tells people what to do and takes authority and control. There's a frequency called HEALER that sees everyone as broken and they want to bring healing and care. There's a frequency called the PROFESSOR. They think all that matters is the information and the facts, and all they want to do is create a transference of knowledge. There's a frequency called SEER, and they're vision casters. They're visionaries and they elevate the room by helping people see a different picture of the future, a bigger picture of their life and of the world. And then there's a frequency called the MAVEN, and a maven is a psychological mental disruptor. They change paradigms, they change the way you see reality. Those are the seven frequencies.

    [35:11 - 36:00] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem
I think one of the great challenges people have is that they keep trying to find their purpose in their career or in their job, or in what they do. And actually, your purpose should be rooted in who you are, who you're becoming, not what you're doing. Because, if your purpose is your job and you lose your job, you've lost your purpose. If your purpose is your career and you've lost your career, you've lost your purpose. If your purpose is your success and then you have a downturn and you lose that success, you've lost your purpose. And that's why so many people go through a crisis of purpose is because their purpose was externalized in something that was outside of their control. When your purpose is outside of your control, you're in danger of losing your purpose. The only thing within your control is the person you choose to become.

    [38:27 - 39:10] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem
So I said, all right, you've lost that billion dollars, but you've gained a billion dollars worth of experience. You're not the same person you were. You're like exponentially more powerful, more knowledgeable, and you are bringing so much more to the table now than you did then. So if you could create a billion dollars from the person you were then, how much can you create with the person you are now? And I've watched all of them rise back up, because it's not about having a million dollars or a billion dollars, it's about the person that makes you, the person you must become, to create that kinda wealth and that kind of future.

    [46:30 - 46:57] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem
When you love what you're doing, you have more energy. So what I would say is, instead of saying, get outta bed and stop sleeping and stop being a bum and stop being lazy, I go, Hey, stop doing what you hate and find a way to do what you love and you only have one life. If, even if you spend your life making a hundred million dollars if you spent your whole life working, but you haven't enjoyed a single day, what did you make?

    [52:10 - 53:05] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem
And, so when people say you need to focus, some of it is there are people who have been given this rare gift to have one talent, and that one talent becomes the full expression of their life. I happen to not be that talented, and so my talents are diversified and my talent is in my diversity. My talent is in the uniqueness of my diversification. And I'm able to express that talent in multiple things. I think where it becomes a problem is when you're doing things that you shouldn't be doing. The things that you don't have the talent to do or things that you don't have the passion to do or things you don't have the skill to do. And the way of knowing if you're doing too many things is are you having to cheat the process? If you're cheating the process, you shouldn't be doing it.

    [1:03:20 - 1:04:17] Erwin McManus ⭐Gold Gem
And what is amazing is, what the study showed was that creativity and genius isn't something you learn, it's something you have to hold onto, and that actually human beings are created intrinsically creative. That every human being has a unique genius to them.

    But the ones we i...

  • Episode 132: Understand Your Past Triggers And Heal Your Future Self (w/ Dr. Nima Rahmany)

Today on the show, we have Dr. Nima Rahmany. Dr. Nima is a retired chiropractor that went into working with healing, based on cognitive and somatic-based tools. Basically what Dr. Nima does is, he helps people break trauma bonds and heal trauma bonds, which we will talk about on the show.

And he's talking about the connection between our fantasies of love, sex, and money and how we can heal those kinds of traumas and cure our past in order to create a better future. It was an amazing conversation, full value, and I would love for you guys to hear this. Before we do, I just want to ask you, if you love the show, please share it with someone that can benefit from this show. So thank you again and enjoy.

    Gold Gems

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem

Number one, I could make sure I can figure out, how did I get here? Number two, how do I make sure this never happens again? And if I can, and then if I can do number one and number two, can I potentially have a healthy relationship? The answer is yes. And if I can do these three, then number four, which is how do I teach other people how to not go through the exact same pathway that I did? So that's really the backstory of why I'm teaching it.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
Most of the time relationships are fantasies. They're in a fantasy, and what I discovered, is that's why every relationship I was having, I was divorced back in 2011, every relationship was failed, a failed relationship because I was entering them thinking that the other person is there to heal me from my insecurities and make me happy and all of our unresolved woundings from childhood are going to be saved by the other person. And that fails miserably when we enter that with the covert agreement that that's what's gonna happen, the relationship is doomed to fail.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
Now there's an option here, you either project that past wounding onto the other person and say, “Why are you doing this to me”? Which, you both are gonna be doing this to one another.Or you learn the skills of understanding your wounding, your attachment distress responses, fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. This is what happens when you get into conflict. You fight, (poke), you flight (run), “I'm getting the hell outta here”. You freeze, which is you hide or you just shut down or you fawn, which means just fixing. Let's just fix, abandon yourself and fix.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
Trauma is stuck, stored energy in our system. If you take on the work of shifting that stored traumatic energy through the system, your partner that used to trigger all of those past stuff, all of a sudden they'll say the thing that won't evoke the same response in you. Option number one, the dynamic shifts and arising tide lift all boats and the relationship transforms.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
What I do is I work with people and get 'em to a place where they have an open heart and they can move on. What's the most loving thing for both parties to do? And sometimes the most loving thing is to move on. That's the question. The work is to get the person to a place where they can have a deep love for themselves. When you have a deep love for yourself, you won't tolerate being treated less than that. So a lot of people do move on and a lot of people, the relationship dynamic completely changes. And it's a work in progress.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
Why do we step over these red flags when it comes to love? When it comes to sex, and it comes to money? And the answer to that is "FANTASY". We have fantasies from childhood when it comes to love. When it comes to sexuality, we have sexual trauma. There is your first sexual experience. Oftentimes, there's incest with family members. This is gonna be very triggering to a lot of people, but we talk about it very openly. Our sexual identity, our love identity, and our money identity comes from past experiences, our culture

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
If you don't experience that level of feeling seen and attuned emotionally by a conscious parent, a fantasy gets implanted with love. I'm gonna have somebody make, totally adore and worship me with money. Oh, I'm gonna be rich and famous. So now you have this fantasy of I wanna be famous,

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
So what happens is when you get into a relationship with somebody, two people have these uncovered fantasies that they project onto one another called a shared fantasy. And this is what fuels the trauma bond, it's the shared fantasy. And so part of healing from a trauma bond is dismantling that fantasy and really finding appreciation in reality. Changing your relationship to dopamine and getting the reward of the fame or the likes and the whatever, and to really give, learn how to give that to self.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
It's like you've been born into a fishbowl with dirty water. You're saying, how do you heal from that? You gotta get out of that fishbowl. You gotta be planted into an aquarium that's clean or a garden where the soil has been toxic and deficient. You gotta remove yourself from that and put yourself in healthy soil and learn how to create a boundary around that soil that says, this is who I am. So now when you go in different places and other people have opinions about you that are different than you, you're able to say, no, this is what I feel about me regardless, and that is a spiritual journey.

    Dr. Nima ⭐Gold Gem
The first place to begin starts to learn how to the different parts of the nervous system and learn what they feel like when they get activated and how to operate the machinery.Because without that, business doesn't work. Your relationship with money wouldn't work. Your intimate partnerships, they're always, you're always activating one another. Yep. So this was critical information that I really needed to learn and so I teach what I most need to learn now.

  • Episode 131: How to get Productive & Generate Monetary Success Even When You're a Creative (w/Didi Medina)

Today on the show we have Didi Medina. Didi is a product design and leadership consultant. He's been in the game for over 10 years in the tech industry, working with companies in New York, San Francisco, here in Israel, and all over the world. He's very much like me, in the way that we both come from the tech world with over 10 years of experience in product design. He managed to get to a very high income while also being that creative, that guy that starts many projects, just like a lot of us.

Didi is here to talk about that, not specifically the figures, but how do you get productive? How do you manage to start a project? Finish your project. How do you become resilient? How do we not stop in the face of adversity? What is the right mindset to have about these things? Didi has such an amazing, tremendous concept about all these things from his experience and his unique philosophy, which you will see. Guys, enjoy this episode, the Commit First podcast with Didi Medina. Let's begin!

You'll think like most artists would define themselves as successful as an artist if it makes over a certain dollar or not. Which kind of brings us to a very simple point. It's like, you have to have the humility to accept that certain things are better than, “I'm making money than others”. And you cannot make certain things become the vehicle to the billion-dollar baby if it's not optimized for that.

    [9:40 - 10:52] Didi Medina ⭐Gold Gem

Everything that has a bigger reward tends to take longer and requires relatively more pain and adversity to overcome. You're not gonna get through that, to see the other side of your work unless you can keep yourself lonely-headed, and whatever works for you in that process is a blessing.

Some people find the gym to be a way to keep themselves grounded and patient and calm the process. And other people find affirmations to be, in some people, do a hybrid in both, and some people do yoga. I think whatever it is you choose to do, there's a bunch of different tools.

I think it's fair to assume that anything you pursue to do that has delayed returns, right? It's like I start work, I break ground today, I'm probably going, gonna see the fruits of my labor in a year plus from now. In any sort of meaningful way and probably like in a substantial way, like even further down the line.

You're gonna have to stomach a lot of like, patience and there are all these tools are very useful in calling yourself fuck down. Yeah. And just taking it, step by step

    [15:37 - 15:56] Didi Medina ⭐Gold Gem

There's a whole like psychological paradox that explains that one with the Dunning-Kruger effect. It explains our confidence towards things, right? Like it's on a, it's an inverse belt curve. It's like when you know very little about something, you're very confident about it. As you learn more about it, you get very petrified about it, and as you become an expert and you're very confident and comfortable

    [16:43 - 17:58] Didi Medina ⭐Gold Gem

The way I usually like to reference it is like, people have to be both methodical and disciplined, right? It's if you're all disciplined, you can work really hard in the wrong direction. If you're all methodical, with no discipline, you can be a complete philosopher, right?

And you need to have enough methodology to put your hard work to good use, which is not given. Working hard does not mean it's being applied in the right way. You can learn really fast and hard in the wrong direction. That is absolutely possible. Yeah. So you need to know how to cycle through that sometimes if you find yourself working really hard, Not getting to the results you want.

Having the humility to step back and being like, maybe it's not about me, not trying hard enough. It's about me applying that effort to the wrong place and really trying to reflect. Other times you can find yourself overthinking it, over-planning something to death, and being like trying to convince yourself, out of every possible risk.

And that's also a good time to just, shut up and just do learn. And then when you get to the bottom of that curve, like then make the decisions on what is and what isn't, cuz your brain is gonna both for better and for worse, try to make assumptions way too far into the pipe in advance to try to protect you.

    [24:31 - 25:26] Didi Medina ⭐Gold Gem

The experiential level of your body is going to conflict with what you understand intellectually. And that's where these tools really come in, they police your emotional level, meditating right? A little bit more can help slow down that response of going from, I feel a lot of control to needing to do something about it.

Yeah. So that's yeah. All those tools really help slow down that emotional state to try to keep up, with what you already understand to be true on an intellectual level. And I think like over time as you take on more risk and you tolerate more risk and you get more comfortable with just risk being all around you, your tolerance goes up, you'll find needing these tools less and less for those reasons.

    [26:27 - 26:58] Didi Medina ⭐Gold Gem

One thing that I do is, I found it I think from Tim Ferris a long time ago. It's like one of those things that like all the methodologies and ways of doing things. This thing, this one stuck with me was like, Fear-Setting, right? It's the human condition that is programmed to be afraid of loss more than it is programmed to pursue opportunity, right? So if you're trying to understand why you're reacting to something in a certain way, that doesn't make sense to you.

    [29:39 - 30:07] Didi Medina ⭐Gold Gem

Write problems that you're trying to solve. Talk to people who've already solved it. That's the hard rule. It's like, don't ask people to help theorize what they think would work if they were in your shoes or whatever.

It's very dangerous. Like you don't need more speculation, right? It's like you wanna solve problem X, find someone who's already solved it, and then go talk to them. You'll get a whole different experience. So that's like number one, right? And then if you can't get mentors, be your own mentor.

Today we're gonna talk about how affirmations work. Before we get into that, we need to discover why affirmations in the first place, why do we need them? I will also talk about some tips in order to make affirmations work. Even if you don't believe it yet, you will see how powerful they are.

Belief System and How the Brain Works

    [1:30 - 2:06]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

The belief system is basically comprised of neural networks that are in our brain, in order to create some kind of purpose for anything that comes out of the external world.

Let's talk about how the brain works for a second. So whenever we have some kind of external stimulus, for instance, we see something or we hear something, something that comes through our senses or just sparks in our neocortex in like thoughts, memories, you know, in our brain. And so what happens is we automatically process those thoughts or information and give them meaning. Meaning is sometimes, emotions.

    [5:48 - 6:15]Sagi Shrieber

A neural network that was formed when you were five years old starts gaining evidence from that day onward until you're about 35, 38, whatever age you are right now, and all these years of collecting evidence just make you really, really sure of that knowledge, thought, wisdom that you think you have might not be the truth. It's just a neural network, sometimes we're not even aware of those neural networks.

    [7:40 - 8:07]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

We don't control our feelings. We don't control the external stimulus. What do we control in life then? How can we not move about just like robots, you know, determine how we were kind of wired and programmed when we were kids?

The only thing that we can control are our thoughts and starting to change neural networks. Actually, it's starting to build new neural networks on top of the existing ones that we want to change.

    Inner Chatter

    [9:31 - 9:56]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Think about how many conversations you have in every single day and what is the percentage that you have them with other people, and what is the percentage that you have them with yourself? You probably have way more with yourself, right. And who is that person talking to you? Well, turns out the person that's talking to you, probably in most cases, according to studies, is the voice of your caregivers when you were a child.

    [11:06 - 11:23]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

One tip for that, besides affirmations by the way, is to talk to yourself in third person. And a lot of professional athletes and people who got to great achievements, claim to be talking to themselves in third person, including I think Muhammad Ali and all the big stars. That's in order to achieve greatness, you kinda have to coach yourself.

    How Does Affirmations Work?

    [11:33 - 11:54]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Affirmations work, by you, repeating thoughts or something you wanna instill in your subconscious, multiple times. Hopefully you are reading it out loud. The reason you wanna read it out loud is because we as humans, we tend to learn and understand that we understand better by the ears. Like whatever we hear coming through our ears into our brain.

    [13:09 - 13:29]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

This is a tip for anyone who tried affirmations and it didn't work for you. Think about it like that. You tried, it didn't work for you.

So what are you doing now? Now you have to get over that hurdle, okay? You have to understand that this is what your body, your mind, your thought process is trying to, is basically fighting against this new belief because it doesn't believe it

    [14:11 - 14:28]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

You have to get over that hurdle, where you repeat it over and over, and at the beginning, you won't believe it. Slowly but surely, you'll not even need to believe it because now that new neural pathway is just starting out, and now it's starting to collect evidence without you even recognizing it.

One of the first things is to get your body in like out of the stress mode and kind of more in equanimity and peace with itself. The way to do that is get out of the city stress, go out on walks and hikes in nature. It's one of the best places to go to get new ideas and to refresh your mind. It's amazing and it's really important for your wellbeing.

    [1:46 - 2:07]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

One of the reasons I take walks in nature and all that stuff is to revitalize myself and my energy and kind of make sure that I have enough vital energy to be productive during the day and to take myself out of stresses and full on stresses and pressure of everyday life as an entrepreneur and business owner, which is extremely, extremely full of adversity and stress.

    [2:10 - 2:29]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

What I think makes you burn out first of all, is if you work on something that you are not in full integrity with, meaning it's not something that you feel you will get to your dream life with, and you work and you wake up every day to work at that, that will get you burned out when you work hard on something which is not aligned with your vision.

    [3:14 - 3:37]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

That second form of burnout can happen if you are working as a business owner towards your goals and dreams and working very hard because it takes real effort and you have to put in the time to get to where you want to get and that's what I'm doing right now, and the stresses of that and the ongoing struggle and adversity is something that I right now am dealing with, and I think a lot of business owners struggle with.

    [3:57 - 4:16]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Just to touch up on one more thing is like there's all the gurus that are saying like, just get the job done. Need to get the job done. Don't be a p*ssy, all that stuff. I mean, there's also the different people that are saying, yeah, just need to get to what you need to get done.

Don't think you need a morning routine, whatever, like in order to be successful. F*ck that sh*t. Your energy is more important than anything.

  • 2 Ways To Start A Business When You Don’t Have Any Funds

In this episode, one person came to us today and he was like an artist and he wants to develop his business as an artist, but he is like a very talented artist, but at the moment, his art is not selling. So I just wanted to share some of the insights that we gave.

It's a lot of budget to self-fund. This whole like social media thing, right? And I wouldn't be able to grow it in the direction that I want to. And again, it comes to the long-term vision cause when you have that long-term vision, you can actually do it. If you don't have that long-term vision, then you're stuck. You can chase your own tail. So one direction is to self-fund it, bootstrap it, work your way, build a business around your superpowers.

    [2:49 - 3:02] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

If you don't have the long-term vision and all you want to do now is your gut feeling, which is I’m going to work on my art or on this new direction, which is not going to bring me money, probably around like the upcoming months or even years, then you're not doing the right thing.

    [3:15 - 3:31] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

The other thing we just told him is there's another route. You can get investment, right? But that means you're putting all your focus right now, on finding an investor on meeting and pitching investors and getting some funds in to fund your operation, right? Like a startup like a lot of companies do, which is ok.

    [4:06 - 4:21] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

I am a bootstrapper by heart. If I bring money in, it would be out of the pure necessity of bringing an investor in because it's a strategic move or I've figured out the product market fit and now you know I can grow. This is why you bring investment in, mostly.

    LIMITING BELIEFS

    [00:50 - 1:28] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Think about your life. We are all born into some kind of world with some kind of caretakers, right? That our society and our caretakers in our environment and the card that we were dealt, forced a belief system into our life and preconceived notions that are very, very hard to change.

So how can we change that? How can we breakthrough into what we wanna create in this world because of that limiting belief system, those preconceived notions, that limitation of where we come from sometimes is a glass ceiling that we need to break in order to get to where we wanna get.

    BUILD ON YOUR CHARACTER

    [2:14 - 2:48] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

The word character, do you know where it comes from? It comes from the actual tool, chisel, to chisel away at something and to chisel away, meaning that the same thing that sculptures use to create those amazing sculptures that you see in museums. That's exactly it, chisel. So a chiseling process is a very careful, delicate process, but very intentional. And sometimes we gotta use force and sometimes we gotta chisel very delicately. We don't want to chisel it too much, but it's an intentional process and we can do that with ourselves

    [3:01 - 3:25] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Number one is work on your integrity. A lot of people say and claim they're great people, then they cut off people on the road and they do all kinds of stuff, which is like in the micro. But here's the thing. Your life is led by your micro decisions. Your micro decision is what really, really matters in the day-to-day. So work on your integrity and work on being the number one human being that you can be.

    [3:25- 4:05] Sagi Shrieber

Work on your emotional state management. Now, this is very important. Listen, it comes up to the kind of mysticism or spiritual side, but it's very, very practical and scientific. So we don't control the feelings once they happen. Once they're there, we don't control them and we don't control anything that is external that just happened to us. We don't control those as well. The only thing that we can control is our neural networks. The things inside our mind, right inside our head, which actually is a scientific thing. So it's not the mind, it's the brain, right? So we can control our thoughts about things and our judgment of things that are happening.

    [5:41 - 06:06] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Work on faith and faith is a habit as far as I care. I mean, for me, faith was not there so much, and you have to have faith. If you wanna be an entrepreneur, you gotta work on your faith. And yes, that means a bit of spirituality in the mix because you know what? You gotta have faith that everything will turn out for the better. And not having faith, it's meaning basically to be in fear a lot of the times.

    [6:52 - 07:10] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Hal Elrod wrote a book called The Miracle Equation and in that book he says, to really see miracles happen in your life and business, you really just gotta have tremendous amount of faith over a long period of time, combined with hard work and that way you'll see magic happen

    WORK ON YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS

    [7:24- 7:37] Sagi Shrieber

So what you need to do is an intentional process of affirmations. But that's the first part of affirmation. Affirmation is step number one, and if you want, you can also download our app Affirmations and Co.

    [7:57 - 8:15] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

When you write affirmation, you should think about what do I want to get done in this world? What are my goals? What are my dreams? Write those down. You can write whatever you want regarding any goal you have, and then when you read it, think about what limiting beliefs pop up regarding that affirmation.

    [9:25 - 9:37] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Number two, I would say in order to work on your integrity. Integrity is matching your values with your actions but it's also kind of like I'm going to do what I'm saying I'm gonna do. So if you say you're gonna do something, then you do it.

  • 5 Tips To Start Leveling Up Your Fitness

In this episode, I will answer a question that was sent to me by one of my followers. The questions is:

“Hey Sagi, I've been following you for years and it seems that in recent years you made a significant change in the way that you approach life and health and your fitness and I wonder how I can level up my fitness and teach myself to be persistent. Persistent in training and in nutrition, and basically get to new higher grounds. How can I do that? Can you give me some tips? Even if they involve paying someone or something like that? I would love to know.”

And I will answer this with the 5 things you need to know in order to level up your mental gain, your fitness, and your nutrition all in one take. Let’s begin.

    #1 Hire a Coach

    [1:42 - 1:53] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Number one, get coaches for whatever you wanna excel at. It's not one quote for everything, and a lot of people are not even investing in themselves in hiring a proper coach

    [3:20 - 3:45] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

You know our ignorance sometimes, it's like preventing us from actually knowing what we need in order to have clarity of vision and actually have a vision in the first place. And so when we get a coach, they help us understand first, like what do we need to aim for? What do we wanna aim for? What is the difference between the goals that we can strive for? Then we can get to choose and pick, and they will help us get there

    [5:48 - 6:20 ] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

So if you work with the right professionals in every field, then you get to where you need to go. Tip number one, like I said, hire a coach and hire multiple coaches and coach for everything you need. The right professionals that will be there on your team. Imagine yourself as the boxer, the professional athlete, and on your ring side. That's where you need to form the team that will give you the proper guidance. And also help you throughout the camp to get to where you need to go and win the fight

#2 Become a Student and Practitioner of Persistence

    [ 6:43 - 6:59 ] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

In order to become a student and practitioner of persistence, let's understand what persistence is. So the meaning and the definition of persistence is to continue to do something in a determined way, even when facing challenges and opposition

    [9:04 - 9:28 ] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

People with a fixed mindset would get to a point where they try to go to the gym or muscles hurt, or even maybe they got really, really strained or injured like slightly at the gym the first time, whatever, they will quit because they would say, maybe it's not for me.

The people with the growth mindset would say, oh, I'm feeling my muscles are aching. Yes, that means I'm making progress. Those are the growth minded people

Topic: Commit First episodes with Dr. Ryan Gottfredson

    [ 9:56- 10:17 ] Sagi Shrieber

So episode number 67 is about the four types of mindset and there's also episode number 51 with Dr. Ryan Gottfredson, which is an amazing episode. And there's a new episode, it's episode number 120. Episode number 120 is amazing, also with Dr. Ryan Gottfredson. Each of them is just gold, so enjoy these episodes and let me know how you find them.

    [10:18 - 10:42 ] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

You have to understand what procrastination is because a lot of the times we procrastinate on doing something we know we need to do, that we even committed to, but then we don't do it. Why don't we do it? Well, we don't do it because we procrastinate on it, but then we need to understand what procrastination is. Procrastination is basically the avoidance of doing something that you know is difficult, but you need to do.

    #3 Make Time & #4 Re-align your Values

    [12:25 - 12:44 ] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Our families don't have us if we, don't have us, our family won't have us. So the value of family completely is just gone if we don't take care of yourself, if we don't put ourselves first. And so check yourself, check your values. What are your values? Now, if you value your mental and physical health, make time for it.

    [13:20 - 13:41] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

I did what I call the 9-12 club where I slept until like 7:00 AM when needed to wake up and get the kids ready for school and everything instead of waking up early for a morning routine, which is the preferred way of an entrepreneur to kind of like wake up before the whole world wakes up and wants you on their agenda and you need to serve your kids and your family.

    #5 Just Start

    [15:16 - 15:36] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

So just start. I mean, it's so easy not to start, that's procrastination like we talked about before. But the start thing is so important.

So when I was designing, I remember someone gave me a tip. He said, Sagi, you know what? The hardest thing about any project is starting the project is actually like opening Photoshop and starting to design things in Photoshop

    [16:30 - 16:20] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

So what is it for you? Maybe it's like putting even your fitness shoes on. Maybe it's getting out the door. Like do it step by step. Don't procrastinate on small steps. It's very easy to procrastinate on a large thing, but when it comes to the little thing, it's so easy. Drive to the gym. Go to the gym. Okay. We'll do it step by step.

    [15:59 - 16:48] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Have patience. Maybe that's the sixth thing, I guess. But it's kinda like when you start, don't let people expect immediate results for anything that they do. Persistence is not about just mental and physical fitness, nutrition, getting leaner or gaining mass, like it's a process and it's a process of years.

  • Mastermind: Finding the Right Mentor, Coach and Friends, to Grow your Business with

In this episode, I actually flew out all the way from Israel to attend the MASTERMIND and I wanna kind of talk to you about my takeaways, why I attend Mastermind or some potential pitfalls when attending these kind of events because I think a lot of people are still not investing in themselves as they should.

    Timestamps & Gold Gems:

    [0:43 - 1:27] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

I think attending Mastermind is one of the most important things that you can do for yourself and your business. The reason I'm saying it is because in business it's a lonely journey. All right. It's also like a spiritual journey where you develop yourself and being lonely on a journey, which is a spiritual journey, sucks.

And there's this feeling like the whole world, like, you know, so many forces are against you and you have so many choices, but each choice can lead to a complete disaster. While some choices can lead to a lot of success, I'm talking about monetary success, but I'm also talking about like, success when it comes to like building what you want to build in the world, because you can work very hard on your business, but basically you get to a point where you're not happy you can do that.

    [2:20 - 2:45] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Surround yourself with, first of all, a mentor, a coach, mostly like a mentor, someone that you can look up to and that can help you, guide you in the right direction, that mentor needs to be three things.

One, someone who's achieved success in what you wanna achieve success in.

Two, you need to align with their values 100%. If you don't align with their values, you know, don't go to them.

Three, he needs to also show up for his people in a way that you wanna show up for your people later on.

    [3:07 - 3:29 ]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

You wanna make sure to always surround yourself with great people that will move you forward. Those people are the connections that you're gonna have for years to come. Great friends that you're gonna be working with, collaborating with, and you know, really moving forward with in a long haul. And I think that those people would push you higher. And those are the people that you wanna make sure that you grow with

    [3:50 - 4:04 ]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Knowledge is very important. Knowledge is key. We all know that, but when you consume knowledge, make sure you consume it from the right people in the right settings. And mastermind is a great way to consume knowledge and go deep on a topic and into your business.

    [4:04 - 4:28 ]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Knowledge is power because it's not the things that we know that we need to do that will push us towards success. It's actually most of the things that we don't know ,that we don't know. Right. And the things that sometimes we do know, that we need to do that are so simple, but we overthink them or you know, we're not holding ourselves accountable to them because we procrastinate, because it's not convenient for us to do.

    Topic: Possible Pitfalls

    [5:10 - 5:28 ]Sagi Shrieber

Some mastermind settings where you have a lot of people breaking out each other's businesses are kind of getting it wrong, some of them. Because either you get yourself into a mastermind with the wrong people, people that are not smarter than you, people that are not in the same game as you even, which is completely wrong.

    [6:10 - 6:26 ]Sagi Shrieber

The answers are within you. They can give you ideas, either by asking you questions or by telling a case study of how they implemented something in their business or saw someone implementing the same thing.

But make sure that they don't tell you what you need to do because that's dangerous,

    [7:07 - 7:33]Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

Lastly, a couple of tips when in the mastermind. One, form authentic relationships. Just every second you got, just go and network with people and I think two, is take action on what you need to do.

Maybe after a session, go aside and kind of map it out, journal about it, or map out the actual action items that you need to do or send some stuff to your team. Write a lot of notes, take them home, review them. Don't leave everything in the Mastermind.

  • How to RESET your Energy Between Work and Family-time (Practical Practices)

For this episode, we’ll talk about how we can bring the energy that we have from work to our evening with our families because that energy usually is not the best energy. Either it's an energy which is like that energy of guilt and lack of productivity.

Good thing is that we have the option to reset this energy so we can spend time and be more present with our family and have a great evening together at home with them. This is all about what I call “The Switch”.

It's 6:00 PM right now and some of us work at our home office. I used to work from home for like five years, but eventually it's the same because we carry energy from one place to another and once we carry that energy, it might be good energy, but it might also be not so good energy and we might feel drained from the work day

    [1:27 - 1:40] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

One tip that helps me and I want to also kind of give you is like, we don't wanna go back home with all that energy carried from our work to our evening with our families because that energy usually is not the best energy

    [1:51 - 2:21] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

I've been so productive I want to get more done at work at my previous kind of endeavor today, but now you're moving on to your next endeavor, and the next endeavor is your kids and your spouse, your partner.

They need you, right? They need us to serve them. They need us to be present for them and that's why I think that it's very crucial that we do this, what's called like energy reset. This is all about what I call “The Switch”. Now imagine that you have a button, right? We sometimes we feel we need this like reset.

    [2:49 - 3:06] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

I think just imagining a reset button kind of gets you to ask, well, what am I resetting to? Because now I'm kind of saying, okay, I'm resetting to be more intentional. Now I'm present with my family, with my kids and my wife, and have a great evening together at home.

    [3:14 - 3:35] Sagi Shrieber ⭐Gold Gem

You can try and one minute kind of just sitting in your car before you go upstairs or at your home office and just sitting before you walk out of that door and saying "I'm letting go. Energy reset mode. Letting go. Let it go. Let it go." Take one breath in one breath out. Just say, let it go.

    Manifestation: Planting the seed

Before Sagi came here to the United States, I remember us conversing about it and we were doing what one would call planting seeds. All right, I have a saying, your mind is the soil, your thoughts are seeds and you water the soil and those seeds with your words. So Sagi says, I want to come see you, Mr. Johnson. Now, this is obviously quite a few months ago, but he puts it out there. He plants the seed if you will. We don't know when. We don't know how. We don't know where. We just know this is what we desire. This is what we would like to have happen, and let's move forward a few months later. Now he's sitting here in front of me.

    5:42 - 6:11 Terrance X Johnson

    Manifest positive thoughts

Each of us all have the ability to create whatever we see in our imagination or in our mind. This is a great gift, a divine gift. Unfortunately, most people focus on what they don't want. They imagine what they don't want. They imagine themselves being sick or lonely or unhappy or depressed or sad, and all these other variables that play a part in our life.

But if you take that same energy and you imagine something positive, if you will, and you hold that image in your mind, it would harden into your reality.

    (9:32 - 9:53) Sagi Shreiber

when you manifest things or when you know, you tend to just say, hey, things come easily to me than they do. And so you work less hard and more things come. And then also when you put more energy in visualizing like in your own mind the proper outcome, then basically a lot of miracles happen along the way.

    11:11 - 11:36 Terrance X Johnson ⭐Gold Gem

    Law of Creation

You must understand where one sees the world totally depends on where they're standing in it. How you perceive the world to be. So if you perceive the world to be filled with this, filled with that, and then if you allow those thoughts and that narrative to creep into your consciousness. Then by definition, the law must make it that way for you.

What law am I referencing? The law of creation. There are certain laws that govern our planet and govern our universe.

    (12:57 - 13:28) Terrance X Johnson

Remember, you can manifest whatever you want.

Number one, decide. Make a conscious decision. Number two, write it down what you write. Write your vision down and make it plain. I tell both of my guys, write down what you want. One thing I love about Ethan, he always do, He's always taking notes. He's, this guy is just like a note taker. He's listening and writing it down. And listen, it's not enough just to take notes, but I want you to apply what you're learning. The application, the acquiring of knowledge makes one smart. It is the application of what you've acquired that makes you wise.

    (14:56 - 15:20) Terrance X Johnson

We are all so called human beings. And I'll take that a step further. You are the gods. Now, most people won't tell you that. Most people probably won't believe that, but you tell me, can a pig make a flat screen tv? No? Can a Doberman pincher make an electric vehicle? No, it cannot. But man can, man can take a man's eyes out of a person who's dying and place those eyes in somebody else, and they can see.

    (16:07 - 16:41) Terrance X Johnson ⭐Gold Gem

    Faith

Most people do not know what it is to have faith. It is a word loosely thrown around and very easily misunderstood. Now, what is it is to have faith. Now I'm gonna give you the biblical definition. You can find this in the great book of Hebrews chapter 11, beginning at verse one. It says this, "Faith is the substance of things, hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." What does that simply mean? I'm gonna break it down for you, faith is a real thing. You have to have faith, not just in yourself, but have faith in your, everything that you're doing, your business, your health, your marriage, your children, everything you do, you're doing it in faith.

    21:50 - 22:12 Terrance X Johnson ⭐Gold Gem

    Hope

Now is the only moment that counts, my friends. Now is all you have. There's no guarantee that you'll wake up tomorrow, cause tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow was always today. Today is always yesterday. So tomorrow never comes. So what do you do? Make a decision now, it doesn't matter where you are financially, education-wise, I don't care what you're dealing with.

If you have breath in your body, you can breathe. There's something called hope.

    23:52 - 24:07

Listen, let me leave with these words. From the day that you're born to the right and at hearse, things are never so bad that they couldn't be worse. I once saw a man complaining because he had no shoes until I saw a man with no feet. Life is colorful. Keep everything in its proper perspective.

  • How Mental Fitness Can Save Your Life and Business (w/Marc Champagne)

In this episode, we talk about mental fitness and how to pause and reset your mind. This will help you focus on the things that matter, whether for your personal life or career as an entrepreneur.

Marc is a mental fitness coach, but he came from building a huge app in the personal development space in mental fitness, an app meant for journaling. And after that, he decided to shut down his app. And go with training teams and individuals and writing a book called “Personal Socrates”.

It's an amazing episode, Marc is just an amazing person. You get so much value and ask many great questions that you guys can all ask yourselves. This one hour, it just opened me up so much emotionally. I really hope you enjoy this episode.

Topic : Asking the Right Questions

    [13:19 - 13:34] Marc Champagne ⭐Gold Gem :

“When minds stop functioning or aren't functioning optimally, I don't care what you're working on or what you're doing in, in your life, you're not doing it at your full capacity and probably most importantly, it doesn't feel good.”

    [15:44 - 16:00] Marc Champagne ⭐Gold Gem :

“I think if you're gonna prioritize something, it should always be mental fitness first because it's your mind that tells you to go and be physically fit or to go and exercise or to be conscious of what you're consuming, whether that's nutrition for your body or nutrition for your mind.”

    [17:08-17:30] Marc Champagne ⭐Gold Gem :

“Make your list of mental fitness activities that you can default to, on a consistent basis for the training, but also when you're in these moments where your mind feels overwhelmed, or there's too much going on, or you feel like you don't have control over the next decision, you go to any one of those activities and it pops you out of that narrative”

    [37:21 - 37:50] Marc Champagne :

“We think of journaling as like pen to paper, blank notebook, just a way you go, right? What's on your mind type thing. But if you really think about the practice itself, the practice behind journaling is reflection. And we all reflect, we all ask questions. We all think about certain things. It's just whether, just like anything, whether you want to do that with more intention and train your mind to ask better questions”

    Topic: Gratitude

    [48:57-49:12] Sagi Shrieber:
“ One of the most profound experiences she gave me was when she was asking questions, it was like, Sagi, and I was rambling about everything that I have going on and what I don't know what to do. And she's like, what are you doing out of love? And what out of fear?”

    [50:04-51:07] Marc Champagne :

“If you're, again, something comes up in the day that pisses you off or throws you off your game, close your eyes and you think of who is that one person that you're super grateful towards, but have not thanked lately. You know, like bring them to your, to your mind. And just think about like, why, like what fills your heart about that person?

What have they done? What would you like to say to them? And the next step is a simple one, you can either express that message to them or just send them a text message. Like right now, just say, just thinking about you. Hope you have a good day. And here's the thing that happens. I mean, you just made their day.

They'll probably write back saying, Thanks for making my day. Now they just made your day. And what's not happening at that moment is your mind is not spinning in a survival state of mind. Your mind is now in a, in. Happy, motivated, grateful state, which is the thriving state.”

Topic : How it all started (1:47- 4:53)

    [3:00 - 3:21] Chris O'Connell :

“So why I lost was a combination of probably having too much too soon, not realizing what's important, not realizing what my purpose was, but probably, just taking things for granted a little bit actually, I think, it was a very very dark time for me in many aspects”

    [4:25 - 4:53] Chris O'Connell :
“ I started to look at myself and talk to myself in a way that was a bit more loving because being abandoned by your mother, being abused by your stepmom, kind of like, it kind of makes you feel worthless, right? And I never thought I was worthy of anything, so I just wrote down some of my achievements and just thought to myself how in a second I've got a lot to live for. I'm a good guy and it was just that time where I just decided to be the CEO of my life, not CEO of my business”

    [5:56 - 6:22] Chris O'Connell :

“I think many people in this world live day to day, month to month, week, week. They don't understand why they're doing it. They're going for the motions. So for me, it's about understanding what your purpose is. I've got my own podcast called the Purpose-Led Leadership Podcast, I talk about when you haven't got a purpose, you haven't got an anchor, you haven't got something to go for. And I think, that's the fundamental course of success, in my opinion”

    [7:03 - 7:45] Chris O'Connell :

“External factors, people, partners, business partners, colleagues, friends, family. But ultimately, I believe that even if the most unlucky heest things happens to you, To a degree, there's always an element of accountability for yourself. So I think it was that sort of realization that although I was responsible for lots of success in my life, in more than part, I was responsible for the failures as well.,So I think it was looking at that. Asking myself some tough questions and feeling and leaning into my feelings as well. So I think it's really important to be vulnerable, really important as leaders to be vulnerable. ”

[8:10- 8:30] Chris O'Connell: “There are six facets behind me and my business logo, business, and finance. Business, health and fitness, personal development, purpose, relationships, and finances, and I think that you have to do an audit of your life as to what I did. I did an audit of my friends. I did an audit of my family. If they weren't serving me, I distanced myself. “

    [10:07- 10:31] Chris O'Connell:

“ I believe you can work smart. I believe if you are looking after yourself mentally, physically, and everything else outside of work, you don't have to spend as much time in work so you can execute better in work. It's a strange thing, but if you spend two hours, say a week, dedicated just for your kids, you turn the phone off to the laptop, that's all they ever need, then you feel happier. Then you'll actually, and that state of being is like what you are in your work, and it's just about execution and working smart. “

TOPIC: Routines and Emotional State Management [10:57- 14:14]

    [10:57- 11:20] Chris O'Connell:

“ I think it also starts with how I start the day. So in my bedroom, I've got a whiteboard. I've got my values there: courage, discipline, empathy, kindness, and eight different values. So when I wake up, I’m absorbing that kind of stuff. There are some affirmations on there as well about self-control, and self-respect. What I'm trying to do is like, why am I brain into positivity? And I think that's really important as well. “

    [11:26- 12:05] Sagi Shrieber:

“ The notion is as if we can control or elevate our emotional state as much as we can. During the day, especially when we start off the day, we're gonna have a better day and be more successful. And it's like most people get wrong, they actually start their day by checking their emails and that's so true. It's freaking Russian roulette. “

    TOPIC: Inner Voice

[14:33- 14:47 Sagi Shrieber: “The voice in our head and how we talk to ourselves is basically pretty, already set when we were like five years old by our guardians. So basically how the grownups were talking to us, that's actually how we talk to ourselves and usually it's not good .”

[15:17 15:29] Chris O'Connell: “ I think everyone gets internal trust that everyone's got mental health about who we are, but sometimes the voices in our head, they're not actually ours. That sounds bizarre. They are indoctrinated or absorbed by your parents, your manager, what you are watching on the TV and all that kind of stuff. And it can be very difficult to deal with that. But I think it's about learning to manage that.

And actually, the only way to do that is to change your content. Block people change things. Talk to people that are gonna inspire you. Talk to people that are better than you in some areas and just have a growth mindset. Be curious. “

    TOPIC: The Key

    [17:01 - 17:41 ] Chris O'Connell:

“ It's really important that, yes, give yourself credit. Pat yourself on the back. You've gotta be realistic as well. And I think having people around you, also I think, small daily habits can have a big impact. So, you know, I've got this, we've all got big visions, but I think if you can break down some of your goals into business and personal. It might be over the next 12 weeks if I can listen to six podcasts or if I can go on 12 runs.”

“If you do that, do that consistently. It all builds up and I think, I think sometimes, we want these big things yesterday, and it just doesn't work like that. Also, it's about enjoying the passage of time, right? “

    [33:14 - 33:29 ] Chris O'Connell:

    “ Emotion, intelligence and vulne...

  • Get Ready to Elevate Your Vertical Altitude

For this week's episode, we have Ryan Gottfredson. This is his third time coming on the show and Ryan is all about mindset. So he's a professor who wrote a book called “Success Mindsets”. He developed a theory that you have four types of mindsets.

But today we're going to discuss the evolution of his research and his methodology, which is now called vertical development, which is another concept. He explained all about it, but we had such an amazing topic about what it takes for you to step up to your potential, to your best future itself. Also the three levels of where people are at at the moment. And kinda like you will be able to through this podcast kind of assess where you are.

    Timestamps & Gold Gems:

Topic : What is Vertical Development?

    [10:29 - 14:10 ] Ryan Gottfredson :

“I came across a concept and the concept was coined from a guy at the center for creative leadership. And the concept is called vertical development. And I read this article. I'm like, oh my goodness, what is vertical development?”

“The idea behind vertical development is that there, well, what we need to understand is that there's two different types of development. There's horizontal development and there's vertical development.”

So horizontal development is usually “what”, when we say development, we're usually talking horizontal development. So it's adding new knowledge, skills, and competencies to what we have. The focus of this is helping us to do more than what we could do previously. It's kinda like adding an app onto an iPad, right?

But horizontal development is limited in the sense of, if I add an app onto an iPad, that's not gonna improve how effectively that iPad operates as a whole.

“The technical definition is to elevate our ability to make meaning of our world in more cognitively and emotionally sophisticated ways.”

    [15:29 - 16:17] Ryan Gottfredson

What feels cognitively and emotionally sophisticated. That we see it as an opportunity to learn and grow. We make meaning of it as that opportunity to learn and grow. When we make meaning of it in that way, then we embrace it. We take it in and, and this is not easy to do, right? Because we are getting to this mental place where we are good with being told that we are bad and it's just not easy to get there, but it is really cognitively and emotionally sophisticated.

And so what we're doing with vertical development is we're literally upgrading ourselves. We're leveling up so that when we encounter stressful situations, we make meaning of those in a better way so that we can navigate those more effectively.

Topic: Cognitive and emotional sophistication in adulthood

[20:22- 20:56] Ryan Gottfredson: So what they've identified is that there's three primary adult development levels.

And what they found across all adults, 64% stay in that first level. They never develop beyond what they entered adulthood with the 35. Yeah. Yeah. Crazy 35% get to level two and only 1% get to level three. Wow. And so, part of the vertical development journey is understanding what are these three different levels and where am I at?

[21:19- 21:37] Ryan Gottfredson And so my next book is all about helping people answer that question. What is my vertical altitude and, and, and being able to assess that effectively, and then where do I go so that I could elevate and become more of the person that I want to become? How do I upgrade my own internal operating system?

    Topic: The First Level

[21:59- 23:32] Ryan Gottfredson: “So at that base level, that first level, our internal operating system is programmed to keep us safe, comfortable, and feeling like we belong. Right. Which means that we are very conscious of threats to those needs. So we don't like to feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or like we don't belong. “

“We are generally what we would call dependent thinkers, meaning that we, we like to join and identify with tribes or groups that could be families that could be friends, social groups, religious affiliations, political affiliations, whatever it might be.”

“And when we go into these groups, we kind of say, I don't wanna be the leader here. I don't wanna make decisions, but if you tell me what to do, I will do it. Yeah. Provided that you keep me safe, comfortable, and feeling like I belong.”

    Topic: The Second Level

[24:33- 25:20] Ryan Gottfredson: “And when we move into the second level, our needs are to stand out, advance and get ahead. Mm-hmm yeah. And in fact, we're willing. To be, we become willing to be unsafe, uncomfortable and not belong in order to advance, stand out and get ahead. Mm-hmm . And when we make this shift, we move from being a dependent thinker to an independent thinker.

So we develop our own ideas. This is usually if somebody is an entrepreneur. They're usually stepping from a mind 1.0, to a mind 2.0, right. Mm-hmm cause they're being an entrepreneur is inherently unsafe, uncomfortable, and you're not belonging. Right. So, and you're willing and, and we're usually driven in some form or fashion to stand out, advance and get ahead.”

    Topic: The Third Level
[27:46- 29:52] Ryan Gottfredson: “To add value and to lift and, and we'll, we'll make a distinction about this here in just a minute, but when we get to mind 3.0, we are willing to be unsafe, uncomfortable, and not belong in order to contribute, add value and lift. We're also willing to not stand out, to kind of put ourselves on the back burner to, um, not get ahead or not advance or not be seen and recognized.

In order to contribute, add value and lift and, and what's what's going on here is, is you can hopefully feel is the differences. We, when we operate below this mind 3.0 level. So on mind, 1.0 or 2.0, our primary focus is inward on ourselves. Either us standing in or us standing out when we're in this mind, 3.0 level, our focus is not on ourselves anymore.

It's something external to ourselves, a bigger purpose, and we're driven again, to contribute, add value and to lift. And when we're here, we're not dependent thinkers, we're not independent thinkers. We are interdependent thinkers. We can see and hold multiple perspectives simultaneously. We kind of don't, we don't rush to one way or the other.

    Topic: Realization

    [33:54- 34:21 ] Ryan Gottfredson:

    “We are gonna ...

  • Do you want to know how a ninja reaches his goal? Let’s hear it from one!
For this week's episode, I am grateful to have Philipp Anufriev with us on the Commit First Podcast. He is the founder of Graphics Federation, host of the 3-2-1 Podcast, mentor of Wellness & Lifestyle, an Israeli Ninja Warrior and father of two.

In this episode Philipp explains why building a powerful routine will help us become less stressed, fulfilled and more productive.

    TOPICS:

    [2:44-2:59] Philipp Anufriev:
“I think there are people who need to first understand what they're supposed to do, and then they're supposed to kind of execute it.
I'm kind of working my way around it. I'm reverse engineering it. So basically what I do, I just try first and then I understand what I'm supposed to do. And the second goal will be easier and the third will be easier. So I'm kind of just trying to dare every time.”

    Types of Obstacles
[15:41- 16:00] Philipp Anufriev: This is why people who are intelligent enough, they're doing good in, in ninja warrior, because this is so that there's like a variety of obstacles that you have. And some of them are straight. Some of them are jumping. Some of them coordination, some of them just balance. Some of they are super stamina
[16:00- 16:20] Philipp Anufriev: So once you're trying to pass all that, like let's say qualification, usually like the easiest thing to pass, because you would have some balance and then few obstacles and then one like hard, let's say that usually when I'm doing it, I'm like, why are people falling here? and that's, that's the scary part
[16:20- 16:28] Philipp Anufriev: Because you see people fall, like why are they falling? It's probably hard. And then like, as you pass it, like, no. it was so easy, like, why?

WORKING ON YOUR HABITS AND PROPER MINDSET (21:58-23:56)
    [22:05- 22:14] Sagi :
“I think in terms of health standards, I think people have lesser standards, like for their own health, which goes together with mental health, personal development. You need to work on your habits. And I know you're big on micro habit, so we can talk about that. And you also need to have the right kind of mindset, right?”

    GRATITUDE JOURNALING:
    [34:26-34:57,35:32-36:08,36:17-36:44] Philipp Anufriev:
So I'm usually doing the first part of it is, is like gratitude. Yeah. And I'm just, I'm, I'm grateful for that and that, and that. And trying to scrap from at least three or five things up to sometimes when I feel either super generous or super shitty, I don't know. I can go up to like 20 something and I like, and then it's something that I trying to feel the vibration if I'm okay.
And so you get, so you get an indication and you know, you need to like balance yourself when you're doing the journaling stuff. Cuz you need to like highlight your gratitude right now, cuz you're not in a good place.

So you need to like calibrate your vibrations just a little bit and started from there. Then I'm usually doing like stuff that I. like, that will happen to me. It can be just like a to-do list. Mm-hmm it can be a celebration of life. Mm-hmm like, I don't know. I got a new kite, like, ah, even if it's like not a good win, like maybe I will that or travel somewhere on, find something or something exciting.
And then you're doing like, and then I'm doing an affirmation, something for myself that I'm, I don't know, embracing myself I'm blessed for, or I don't know, blessed with opportunities that I'm taking advantage of. And so on, something like that. That's usually my flow. Then once I'm done, I obviously meditation, um, for me, meditation is just eating, sitting still mm-hmm or, and just checking.

VISUALIZATION AS A KEY PART OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
    [49:13-49:49] Philipp Anufriev:
So when you see, since you see the obstacles, I just, um, run them in my head and what I do, I have a notebook and I just draw myself. Like I'm literally drawing the obstacles like comics. And I draw myself by the end of it, not on the obstacle but by the end of it, succeeding it. Sometimes with my hands up sometimes, just running if those need more, those need to be passed faster. And this is something that I'm working on in my visualization

HOW DO YOU ACCEPT FAILING NINJA WARRIOR?
    [54:09-54:41] Philipp Anufriev:
You don’t accept it. Like you don’t accept it, no matter what. It takes time to pass through it, but you don’t, you like, you felt you like accept it. It’s a good thing, coz then, then you, you are motivated to kick ass the next day. When in between, after the third season I took like, uh, a month of recovery and after the fourth season, like I was in the gym next Saturday.

Episode 117: How to Manifest your Goals with The Law of Attraction (w/Joni Rae)

On this week's episode, I am grateful to finally have Joni Rae with us at the Commit First Podcast.
Joni Rae is the founder of The Mindset Group, a boutique leadership development firm that exists to align people and teams, they offer interactive and experiential seminars, coaching programs, and corporate workshops and consulting. Their team has helped hundreds of clients go from overwhelm and chaos to clarity and sustainability. She's with us to explain and tell us more about the Law of Attraction and how Living in Alignment works.

Working with the law of attraction to manifest your dreams may sound straightforward, but it actually involves careful intention, action, and a degree of surrender. This principle suggests that empty space cannot truly exist, and always needs to be filled by something. As such, it's important to make space for positive change in your life by clearing out negativity.
It tells us that there will always be things to be unhappy about if you look for them, but rather than dwelling on things that are going wrong, finding ways to make things better - is fundamental to shifting your reality into one that attracts what you desire.

That's not to say you can't acknowledge negativity or feel emotions related to it. Rather, it's about doing what you can at the moment to improve any negative situation and letting the rest go. This follows living in alignment with your goals and taking the necessary steps to bring them to life.

Episode 116 - Becoming Your Future self! (w/ Jay Chase)
    ********

    Hey everyone!

On this episode, I had an amazing interview with podcaster and speaker Jay Chase where we talked about how you can connect with your future self, as well as your higher power! We could find it pretty easy to reflect on who we are now and remember who we used to be, but not a lot of us can easily picture the version of ourselves 10 years later.

Some people are able to, but what about those who don't even know where to start?

Jay knows exactly how you can get started, and this video has WAY TOO MANY valuable lessons to list down. From building a better relationship with your future self to further deepening your spirituality (regardless of religion,) he had so much to share, helping you find out how you should be as an entrepreneur, and WHO you CAN be as the CEO of your own life!

Jay Chase is a speaker, entrepreneur, and podcaster who hosts his own show called "Don't Touch My Mindset," where he aims to help people find harmony between the heart and the mind, leading them to live their lives to the fullest through mindset and willpower.

Episode 115 - Can you get CANCER from listening to PODCASTS? - The Dangers of EMF Radiation (R Blank)
    ********

    Hey guys!

On this week's episode I got to talk to professor, training director, and CEO of Shield Your Body R Blank (@shieldyourbody). He specializes in the field of EMF Protection, and on this video he shared a lot about how modern technology affects us on an Electromagnetic level, as well as how we can keep our exposure towards it safe.

Whether you're an avid listener of podcasts, someone who mainly does their work on the computer, or even a father of kids who just love to play video games on their mobile phones, you might want to listen to this.

People often talk about how too much screen time can be bad for your health and your eyes, but EMF protection takes our tech safety on a whole new level. There's more to the risks of technology than just TV screens and blue light, unseen without the right tools to detect it. This video could help you out, especially those who LOVE to spend most of their time on tech!
