En-route to Paris 2024 and no doubt there's a few bumps in the road to come, but a big thumbs up from the International Olympic Committee this week for the Paris 2024 organisers. Parisians maybe yet to be persuaded but the Games will be a huge success.

Plans have been revealed to start the process of trying to bring the Tour de France back, as well as the World Athletics Championships, to this country.
The announcement of 70 global events in 32 sports inc 18 World Championships was made at the London Stadium in Stratford by UK Sport - the Government agency responsible for funding elite sport, as well as leading the planning for Major Events. For the first time ever the Women’s Football World Cup could also be staged in the UK.

Hannah Snellgrove is the latest athlete from British Sailing to be picked for Team GB for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

But as we continue our countdown to Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, we lost one of the big names in the Marathon this week. World Athletics pay tribute to World record holder and London Marathon winner Kelvin Kiptum who died, along with his coach, in a crash in Kenya.

It's two years since Eve Muirhead finally got her hands on Olympic gold. The Curling skip and her team was victorious on the final weekend of the Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022.
After 4 Olympics and years of training and practicing, Eve decided to retire from elite sport after those Games - but it seems she can't stay away from an Olympic Village!
The 33 year old is in charge - or the Chef De Mission - for the 36 athletes chosen to represent Team GB at the Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games between January 19 and February 1 2024.
