Join us as we rewatch the ultimate palate cleanser that is "Escape from New York," Sex and the City Season 3, episode 14. After some heavy times in New York, Carrie, Miranda, and Samantha leave Charlotte in the dust, and dive headfirst into some juicy Dateline-potential situations in Los Angeles. Miranda flashes a crowd; Samantha dates a pornstar; and Carrie gets trapped in a room with a very unhinged Matthew McConaughey.

We're walking on hallowed ground here, Sex and the City super fans. The only misstep in this pivotal episode is Aiden's suit. Join Meredith and Ricky as they serve up unsolicited advice about wedding gifts, men's fashion, and bagel-cutting techniques.
Samatha looks under Caleb's kilt; Miranda joins the mile-high-lie club, Charlotte has a sobering interaction; and, Carrie hopes the flaws in Aiden's loveseat are a great segue into discussing her own crippling flaws (they aren't).

Join Meredith and Ricky as they spill the tea — literally — and revel in the pure enjoyment of rewatching this classic episode of Sex and the City. Samantha realizes she really needs a man; Charlotte envisions a life of diminishing returns; Miranda speed dials 1-800-GEORGE; and, Carrie loses both Pete and any remaining shreds of dignity in one waterlogged scene.

The episode that changed everything. Yes, Meredith and Ricky dive into the heart of Sex and the City's angst-ridden appeal. Carrie, what have you done? Big, why are you the worst?
Charlotte proposes to herself; Miranda sports her fresh Paige Davis razor cut and goes hovel hunting with Steve; Samantha samples some funky spunk; and Carrie — oh Carrie — loses her head.

Hey, y'all! Sex and the City fans rejoice; things are heating up in NYC. Meredith and Ricky revel in this episode's mob wife fashions, catchphrase-driven banter, and Carrie's Oppenheimer-esque concept of time.
Charlotte and Trey can't stop telling people about their meet-cute; Samantha's worst nightmare comes true in more ways than one; Miranda doesn't have time for a baby because she's dating a baby are we right??); and Carrie's chance encounter with Mr. Big at a magazine launch has her questioning everything.

Join Meredith and Ricky as they channel all of their drama school training to discuss "Drama Queens," the season 3, episode 7 gateway episode of Sex and the City we all deserve.
Miranda and Steve’s relationship hits the skids; Samantha takes the blue pill; Charlotte makes a major announcement to anyone who will listen; and Carrie channels Mr. Big in hopes that Aiden has anxious attachment style (turns out he only has anxious weekend style).

Join Meredith and Ricky as they deep dive into what some call a gateway episode of Sex and the City, "Are We Sl*ts," which aired on July 16, 2000.
Miranda dusts off the old black book and preps for 42 awkward conversations; Samantha commits elder abuse; Charlotte's newest beau experiences a psychotic break — during sex; and Carrie is nervous her relationship with Aiden isn't progressing fast enough (they're a week-and-a-half in). He tells her he's a "romantic" and proceeds to spend 30 minutes in the bathroom.

Well, here it is, what many have named the worst episode of Sex and the City. Cringe watch with us as we witness Samantha's ill-fated romance with Chivon and Steve's delusional love of basketball. But it's not all bad! Carrie meets Aiden for the first time and sports an iconic look!

What do starched towels, manta rays, and Meredith's illustrious career in Canadian television have to do with Sex and the City's season 3 disaster, "Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl?" Absolutely nothing. We had to vamp a lot because there wasn't much to work with in the source material.
Samantha continues her quest to be the most sexually inappropriate PR executive in New York, Charlotte is a true drag, Miranda can't deal with hot sleeper Steve, and Carrie dates "a bisexual." She eventually kisses Alanis Morrissette and ghosts Shawn, the only rational thing she does all episode.
Please tune in to hear our take on what Vulture ranked as the second-worst episode of the show. Next week? The first worst!

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro' the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even Samantha's python blouse;
The Blahniks were placed by the non-working fireplace with care,
In hopes that Mr. Big would soon be their.
Yes, THEIR! How dare Natasha not know the difference between there, their, and they're. What an idiot! Well, there's always someone somewhere who makes you feel bad about yourselves. Might even be a total stranger. So if it takes proofreading their correspondence and catching a grammatical error to prove your worth in life, who are we to judge?
Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone. Are you feeling great about finally getting that holiday shopping done? Do you think your baking will wow all your guests? Re-watch Sex and the City's "Attack of the Five-Foot-Ten Woman" to have all of your hopes and dreams dashed.
But it's not all bad. Magda does swap Miranda's vibrator for a statue of the Virgin Mary. It's basically the Nativity story retold in a bigger and bolder way.
What a year! We love recording the pod for you, even during the holidays. Please rate and subscribe wherever you find this podcast, and join the conversation on Instagram.

Sex and the City fans unite! As we wait for season 3 of And Just Like That... to air, let's rewatch the show that made us who we are today.
This week, Meredith and Ricky revisit "Politically Erect" a middling effort that gave us a few zingers and memorable highs such as Jeff, the little man with big ambition, Miranda's all-too-real nipples, Carrie's product-laden bathroom, and a 24-year-old Elizabeth Banks who doesn't look a day under 43.
As we enter the holiday season, may we look to the star that guides us, Sarah Jessica Parker. So hurry up, pop in your AirPods and start wrapping, baking, and cleaning as we tell tale that will warm the cockles of your cock.
And please subscribe, rate, and review the pod! It means to much. And join the conversation on Instagram.

Welcome to Staten Island folks, where you can practically smoke in hospitals, Ricky Fantucci is the hottest man in town, and people know the words to "Doctor's Orders."
That's right, this week we're diving into Sex and the City season 3, episode 1, "Where There's Smoke." We ask ourselves, why is Lasik a good choice for the nearly blind, does Steve need mittens to protect himself while he sleeps, and why does Facebook think Meredith needs compression hose? Of course, we also delve into the fact that Big looms large as Carrie desperately fends off the advances of Bill Kelly.
We love releasing these pods as we wait for season three of And Just Like That... to air, but in the meantime consider subscribing, rating and reviewing, and following us on Instagram. It means the world!

"Do friends kiss here?" NO THEY DON'T! In the 50th episode of the pod Ricky and Miranda — errrr — Meredith regale our listeners with one of the great episodes. The one that said to the world, "Carrie cannot be tamed."
Carrie pulls a Katie and tests whether or not she and Big can be friends. In the meantime, Charlotte tries to get back on the saddle, Samantha tries to ride a horse, and Miranda allows her friend to kiss her everywhere.

Meredith and Ricky are back with the recap you need and deserve. Samantha is dismayed when her mini-me, Nina, usurps her title of biggest hoe in the Hamptons. Charlotte serves up some age-related lies with a side of rotisserie chicken and crabs. And Carrie throws on a cowboy hat and calls it a summer until Big comes crashing back into her life.
Rewatch Sex and the City with us to relive all your '90s faux pas in a safe environment. And don't forget to join the conversation on Instagram, if only to see Ricky's picture of self-tanning excess.

If you've come to this podcast to hear about furry underwear, werewolf romance, and juicy chats about living on hills (Ricky) and on river beds (Meredith), then you've come to the right place. If you want to hear about vintage Sex and the City episodes, you've also come to the right place. It's a win-win situation.
This week, Meredith and Ricky dive into Season 2, Episode 16, "Was it Good for You?" Carrie meets a recovering alcoholic, Samantha gets down and dirty with DSquared, Charlotte tries to improve her hand-job skills with a tantric sex class, and Miranda sleeps in factory-starched sheets.

Well it's here, everyone, the episode that has defined Ricky's life — but the real question Meredith poses is, "Why?" Especially given that "Shortcomings" is total filler. Perhaps it was the lox and cream cheese, or Valerie Harper's debilitatingly sex-positive child rearing, or Justin Theroux's paper thin boxers. Something really clicked.

Widely considered the dullest and most lifeless episode in the Sex and the City canon, "The F*** Buddy" is known for a few other things: Miranda's E.T. in athleisure picnic attire, nonsensical yoga, and ponchos. So many ponchos.
Join Meredith and Ricky as they vamp and manufacture energy for 30 minutes to breathe life into this source material.

Meredith and Ricky begin to wonder if they're being played as they watch this episode go down. Carrie's friend-o-meter sinks to an all-time low as she subjects her friends and her audience to her rants about Mr. Big, Samantha dates a sports fanatic, and Charlotte basically is just present. But there were some high points, such as Jon Bon Jovi and his incredibly petite body, milky skin and perfect nipples, plenty of walking and acting scenes, and summer-in-the-city looks galore.
